In this paper, we address the problem of line triangulation, which is to find the position of a line in space given its three projections taken with cameras with known camera matrices. Because of measurement error in line extraction, the problem becomes difficult so that it is necessary to estimate a 3D line to optimally fit measured lines. In this work, the normal errors of measured line are presented to describe the measurement error and based on their statistical property a new geometric-distance optimality criterion is constructed. Furthermore, a simple iterative algorithm is proposed to obtain suboptimal solution of the optimality criterion, which ensures that the solution satisfies the trifocal tensor constraint. Experiments show that our iterative algorithm can achieve the estimation accuracy comparable with the Gold Standard algorithm, but its computational load is substantially reduced.

Indoor Visible Light Communication(VLC) positioning is an new indoor positioning method. We discuss the method to realize 3D positioning and the how to optimize it. Build a simplified 3D fingerprint database in the condition of linear light intensity attenuation model and use it for 3D positioning. Furthermore we combined fingerprint database method with the iterative algorithm of Lambert distribution to calculate Z coordinates in order to improve the accuracy. Simulations shows that, in the subspace of 1m*1m*1m, the measurement error of fingerprint database method in X-Y plane is 4.1cm, while z direction measurement error is 5.4cm. By contrast, measurement error of 3D positioning method based on iterative algorithm reduces by 10%.

In this paper, a new iterative algorithm is proposed for finding a common solution to a constrained convex minimization problem, a quasi-variational inclusion problem and the fixed point problem of a strictly pseudo-contractive mapping in a real Hilbert space. It is proved that the sequence generated by the proposed algorithm converges strongly to a common solution of the three above described problems. In our discussion, existence of solution for fractional integral equation (FIE) involving (k, z)-Riemann-Liouville fractional integral is studied. To achieve this goal, first using shifting distance functions, we establish a new generalization of Dorbo-type fixed point theorem, in short, we shall write DFPT, and then we apply our DFPT on aforementioned FIE to establish the existence result. Also, our results will be verified by considering a suitable example. Moreover, an approximate solution of the example is given via a convergent iterative algorithm constructed by modified homotopy perturbation (MHP) method with a high accuracy.

Plenoptic imaging is a revolutionary photographic technique which has been brought to public awareness recently. It makes post-refocusing possible by capturing both spatial and directional information of light. In order to do that, a micro-lens is placed before the imaging plane of the camera. Each micro-lens records angular information from its location at the cost of spatial resolution. A focal stack is generated by stacking up refocused images of the same object. By adjusting the depth at which each image focuses, it models the light ray around the nominal focal plane of the camera in 3D. The main purpose of this thesis is to reconstruct the surface based on focal stacks. There were previous attempts to accomplish the same task, including the gradient method and the stereo method; however, they are unable to reconstruct a smooth object. Later research proposed a deconvolution method that can address the smooth object problem. The thesis demonstrates the limitation of the deconvolution method and proposes an iterative method to more precisely reconstruct the surface of the object. In order to implement the iterative algorithm, the thesis also mathematically models the process of image blur as the vectorized object multiplied with a convolution matrix which represents the point-spread function (PSF). The PSF describes the spread of light from the object across the entire focal stack. Various results of estimating depth from different methods are presented to compare the performance of each algorithm.

Finding iterative algorithms to approximate fixed points for nonexpansive mappings is a very active topic in a number of mathematical and engineering areas, in particular, in image recovery and signal processing. Considerable research efforts have been devoted to the study of this area in recent years. By now, there already exist some algorithms, but they are not quite enough to deal with problems of finding common fixed points of infinite nonexpansive mappings. In this paper, a more general form of iterative algorithm is introduced which is proved to be strongly convergent to common fixed point of infinite nonexpansive mappings in a real strictly convex and uniformly smooth Banach space by using some new techniques.
