The exchange model with piecewise linear separable concave utility functions is considered. This consideration extends the author's original approach to the equilibrium problem in a linear exchange model and its variations. The conceptual base of this approach is the scheme of polyhedral complementarity. It has no analogs and made it possible to obtain the finite algorithms for some variations of the exchange model. Especially simple algorithms arise for linear exchange model with fixed budgets (Fisher's model). This is due to monotonicity property inherent in the models and potentiality of arising mappings. The algorithms can be considered as a procedure similar to the simplex-method of linear programming. It is natural to study applicability of the approach for more general models. The considered piecewise linear version of the model reduces to a special exchange model with upper bounds on variables and the modified conditions of the goods' balances. For such a model the monotonicity property is violated. But it remains, if upper bounds are substituted by financial limits on purchases. This is the idea of proposed iterative algorithm for initial problem. It is a generalization of an analogue for linear exchange model.

LMJ and LIL are two French high power lasers dedicated to fusion and plasma experiments. These laser beams involve hundreds of large optical components, the clear aperture of the beams being 400x400 mm(2). In order to control the flatness requirements of its optics, the CEA has an 800 mm diameter Fizeau interferometer. Determining if optical components fulfil the very strict wavefront specifications can be difficult because these specifications can be equivalent to the defects of the reference flats of the interferometer. That is why we want to calibrate our reference flats in order to subtract their defects from the performed measurements. This absolute calibration is based on an iterative algorithm requiring three reference flats. In addition to the three basic combinations of the three flats, this method uses rotations and translations of one flat with respect to the others. First, we shall present a characterization of this method. The choice of different parameters, as the operations of translations and rotations required, will be discussed. Moreover, experimental errors have been introduced in the simulations and their limit values have been studied with regard to the other parameters. An application of this method on our three reference flats has been implemented over a 600 mm diameter. An absolute calibration requires a very precise implementation of the measurements and then we will see why data processing is necessary to reduce the residual shifts in translation but also in rotation and in zoom between the different measurements. Lastly, first uses of the absolute maps show a factor 5 to 10 improvement on the final accuracy.

In this paper,a distributed model predictive control(MPC) approach is presented for a class of linear systems with structured time-varying uncertainties.A global system is represented as several small dimensional subsystems.A set of distributed sate feedback laws are designed at each time instant to ensure the robust stability of the closed-loop system with respect to the structured *** the influences of neighbor subsystems,the robust distributed MPC controller design problem is formulated into solving a minimizing optimization problem of performance *** design of robust distributed MPC controller is then cast into solving a linear matrix inequality(LMI) optimization problem.A global performance is achieved by using an iterative ***,the proposed distributed MPC algorithm is demonstrated by a simulation example.

A model for the solution of a European-type day-ahead market with multi-period products is presented in this paper, though considering a nodal network representation and including N and N-1 transmission security constraints. An iterative process is employed, similar to the process implemented in the U.S. markets, coordinating a market clearing problem (formulated as a Mixed Integer Linear Programming-MIP model) with an AC load flow solution, in order to check the apparent power flows of transmission lines against their respective limits, accounting the influence of voltage magnitudes and reactive power on the system lines' power flows. A distributed-slack modelling is used, in order to ensure the robustness of the attained Locational Marginal Prices, so that they are independent of the selection of the system reference node. The model is evaluated in terms of pricing and computational efficiency using the Balkan nodal power system.

As the explosive growth of wireless date requirements, heterogeneous network (HetNet) has become an effective solution for improving the system performance such as the throughput. The femtocells are always arranged to share the spectrum with the macro base stations (MBSs). Thus, the co-channel interference leads to the degradation of the HetNet throughput. In this paper, we discuss the program of spectrum reuse in the two-tier HetNet, and the problem is defined as a Stackelberg game approach. The MBS is play as a leader and it releases a part of spectrum resource for femtocells to avoid intertier interference. And the femtocells provide services to fractional macro users (MUEs) in return. Therefore, the throughput can be improved by the reduction of the inter-tier interference. Compared with the former works, the prominent characteristic of the method in the paper is that the benefit relation between the leader and followers is not measured by the real money. Furthermore, considering the system throughput specifically, we define the utility of the femto base stations (FBSs) by the average throughput as same as the utility of the MBS, which is used to improve the overall throughput of the system. Moreover, the gradient descent algorithm is also applied to compute the Nash equilibrium as the range of variables become continuous. The simulation results indicate that the proposed algorithm can observably reduce the interference and enhance the throughput of the network.

The subaperture stitching interferometry is a technique suitable for testing high numerical-aperture optics, large-diameter spherical lenses and aspheric optics. In the stitching process, each subaperture has to be placed at its correct position in a global coordinate, and the positioning precision would affect the accuracy of stitching result. However, the mechanical limitations in the alignment process as well as vibrations during the measurement would induce inevitable subaperture position uncertainties. In our previous study, a rotational scanning subaperture stitching interferometer has been constructed. This paper provides an iterative algorithm to correct the subaperture position without altering the interferometer configuration. Each subaperture is first placed at its geometric position estimated according to the F number of reference lens, the measurement zenithal angle and the number of pixels along the width of subaperture. By using the concept of differentiation, a shift compensator along the radial direction of the global coordinate is added into the stitching algorithm. The algorithm includes two kinds of compensators: one for the geometric null with four compensators of piston, two directional tilts and defocus, and the other for the position correction with the shift compensator. These compensators are computed iteratively to minimize the phase differences in the overlapped regions of subapertures in a least-squares sense. The simulation results demonstrate that the proposed method works to the position accuracy of 0.001 pixels for both the single-ring and multiple-ring configurations. Experimental verifications with the single-ring and multiple-ring data also show the effectiveness of the algorithm.

A single-beam phase retrieval method with partially coherent illumination is proposed. By using an obverse and reverse iterative (ORI) algorithm, objects can be reconstructed within less time by recording a sequence of diffraction patterns at different axial planes under partially coherent light illumination. Partially coherent light illumination reduces coherent noise and the number of diffraction patterns needed for reconstruction. Thus, the whole process is fast and has high immunity to external perturbation due to the reference-less configuration. Both simulation and experimental results are presented to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed approach.

Artifact reduction in short-scan CBCT by use of optimization-based reconstruction

Increasing interest in optimization-based reconstruction in research on, and applications of, cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) exists because it has been shown to have to potential to reduce artifacts observed in reconstructions obtained with the Feldkamp-Davis-Kress (FDK) algorithm (or its variants), which is used extensively for image reconstruction in current CBCT applications. In this work, we carried out a study on optimization-based reconstruction for possible reduction of artifacts in FDK reconstruction specifically from short-scan CBCT data. The investigation includes a set of optimization programs such as the image-total-variation (TV)-constrained data-divergency minimization, data-weighting matrices such as the Parker weighting matrix, and objects of practical interest for demonstrating and assessing the degree of artifact reduction. Results of investigative work reveal that appropriately designed optimization-based reconstruction, including the image-TV-constrained reconstruction, can reduce significant artifacts observed in FDK reconstruction in CBCT with a short-scan configuration.

Pretension design method for cable-beam structure

A pretension design method is proposed for the cablenet system of large span cable-beam structure. This method can improve computational efficiency of pretension design under influence of beams' deformations. In this method, cablenet system is divided into two parts-inner cablenet and edge cablenet. Inner cablenet is a pure cablenet area, its optimal pretension distribution can be easily found by using balance matrix analysis method. Edge cablenet is the other cablenet area connected with beams, and for this cablenet system, an iterative calculation combined with balance matrix analysis method and nonlinear finite element method is used to calculate its reasonable pretension distributions. In the iteration process, the shape of edge cablenet is iteratively updated according to displacements of connection joints between edge cablenet and beams, and based on these shape changes, pretension distributions of edge cablenet is recalculated iteratively. And by using this method, influence of beams' deformations can be added to cablenet pretension design. Because above complicated iterative calculation is just limited to the edge cablenet, scale of nonlinear finite element calculation in the iteration will be much smaller than calculation for the whole cable-beam structure, and the efficiency and accuracy of this calculation can be also improved at the same time. At last, this method is programmed for a numerical example, and the results indicate that the method is feasible.
