This paper presents a new method about the design of the phase response of IIR all pass filter. The fast algorithm, which is based on the criterion of least square error,is derived, furthermore, its application is further discussed in the fields of biorthogonal filter banks and wavelets bases. A novel framework for a new class of two channel biorthogonal filter banks is presented. The design of tile analysis/synthesis systems induces to die design of the phase response of a single all pass filter. It has some merits such as high frequency selectivity. low computation complexity and structurally perfect reconstruction etc. The biorthogonal wavelet bases with high regularity generated by the biorthogonal filter banks are illustrated.

We investigate fast data aggregation via over-the-air computation (AirComp) over wireless networks. In this scenario, an access point (AP) with multiple antennas aims to recover the arithmetic mean of sensory data from multiple wireless devices. To minimize estimation distortion, we formulate a mean-squared-error (MSE) minimization problem that considers joint optimization of transmit scalars at wireless devices, denoising factor, and receive beamforming vector at the AP. We derive closed-form expressions for the transmit scalars and denoising factor, resulting in a non-convex quadratic constrained quadratic programming (QCQP) problem concerning the receive beamforming vector. To tackle the computational complexity of the beamforming design, particularly relevant in massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) AirComp systems, we explore the optimal structure of receive beamforming using successive convex approximation (SCA) and Lagrange duality. By leveraging the proposed optimal beamforming structure, we develop two efficient algorithms based on SCA and semi-definite relaxation (SDR). These algorithms enable fast wireless aggregation with low computational complexity and yield almost identical mean square error (MSE) performance compared to baseline algorithms. Simulation results validate the effectiveness of our proposed methods.

This paper examines Kalman filtering and three suboptimal methods in the case of delayed and out-of-sequence measurements in networked or wireless systems. The motivation for suboptimality for Kalman filtering stems from the low computational resources of wireless devices. Optimality is reduced by using a history of a finite horizon. It is shown that the suboptimal filtering with full iteration within the update window performs very similar to the optimal filter, even with a short history window.

The combination of steganography and secret image sharing (SIS) is an important aspect of information hiding. The two techniques are usually separate phases in one combination. A novel behavior steganography model was recently put forward to achieve the true fusion. However, the polynomial-based (k, n.) threshold SIS scheme based on the model is confront with some inevitable weaknesses, including auxiliary encryption, lossy recovery, and complex recovery computation. In this paper, a scheme based on Chinese remainder theorem-bawd secret image sharing of (k, n) threshold ((k,n) - CRTSIS) is proposed. The number of bits chosen from secret message to embed in SIS is determined by the interval range of the random parameter in (k, n) - CRTSIS. As a result, the proposed scheme realizes not only the (k, n) threshold, but also lossless recovery and low computation complexity without auxiliary encryption. Analysis and experiments are provided to indicate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

This paper presents a novel design method for Modulated Lapped Biorthogonal Transform (MLBT) and develops the narrow-band interference suppression scheme based on it for GNSS receivers. The proposed design method not only satisfies Perfect Reconstruction (PR) condition of the transmitted signal, but also leads the prototype filter of MLBT's forward transform to be designed freely, so higher sidelobe attenuation can be achieved, e.g. 92dB. Simulation results show that performance of the new scheme is apparently better than the schemes based on MLT and Matviyenko-MLBT, and approaches the scheme based on overlapped and windowed DFT if the same transform length is assumed. Moreover, it has a lower computation complexity as compared with the scheme based on overlapped and windowed DFT.

Underwater acoustic communications based on Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) are realized usually in high frequency for high communication rate, and the channel and hardware conditions make our communication band is limited. Conventional modulation of these OFDM scenarios are FFT, it will face the problem of oversize FFT number and large computation complexity in the conditions of band-limited and high frequency. ZFFT (Zoom-FFT) is one method of spectrum zoom technique, which decreases the computation complexity and FFT number. In this paper, we proposed an OFDM modulation scheme based on ZFFT, and the simulations show that this scheme has lesser computation complexity and FFT number. The trial results of DaLian16, which is in March, 2016 show that ZFFT-OFDM has the good performance with very low bit-error-rate (BER) on the range of 1km.

Fast Wideband Beamforming Using Convolutional Neural Network

With the wideband beamforming approaches, the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) could achieve high azimuth resolution and wide swath. However, the performance of conventional adaptive wideband time-domain beamforming is severely affected as the received signal snapshots are insufficient for adaptive approaches. In this paper, a wideband beamformer using convolutional neural network (CNN) method, namely, frequency constraint wideband beamforming prediction network (WBPNet), is proposed to obtain a satisfactory performance in the circumstances of scanty snapshots. The proposed WBPNet successfully estimates the direction of arrival of interference with scanty snapshots and obtains the optimal weights with effectively null for the interference by utilizing the uniqueness of CNN to extract potential nonlinear features of input information. Meanwhile, the novel beamformer has an undistorted response to the wideband signal of interest. Compared with the conventional time-domain wideband beamforming algorithm, the proposed method can fast obtain adaptive weights because of using few snapshots. Moreover, the proposed WBPNet has a satisfactory performance on wideband beamforming with low computational complexity because it avoids the inverse operation of covariance matrix. Simulation results show the meliority and feasibility of the proposed approach.

Adaptive beamforming based on minimum variance (ABF-MV) using deep neural network for ultrafast ultrasound imaging

Ultrafast ultrasound imaging can achieve high frame rate by emitting planewave (PW). However, the image quality is drastically degraded in comparison with traditional scanline focused imaging. Using adaptive beam -forming techniques can improve image quality at cost of real-time performance. In this work, an adaptive beamforming based on minimum variance (ABF-MV) with deep neural network (DNN) is proposed to improve the image performance and to speed up the beamforming process of ultrafast ultrasound imaging. In particular, a DNN, with a combination architecture of fully-connected network (FCN) and convolutional autoencoder (CAE), is trained with channel radio-frequency (RF) data as input while minimum variance (MV) beamformed data as ground truth. Conventional delay-and-sum (DAS) beamformer and MV beamformer are utilized for comparison to evaluate the performance of the proposed method with simulations, phantom experiments, and in-vivo ex-periments. The results show that the proposed method can achieve superior resolution and contrast performance, compared with DAS. Moreover, it is remarkable that both in theoretical analysis and implementation, our proposed method has comparable image quality, lower computational complexity, and faster frame rate, compared with MV. In conclusion, the proposed method has the potential to be deployed in ultrafast ultrasound imaging systems in terms of imaging performance and processing time.

An Improved Adaptive Kalman Filter for a Single Frequency GNSS/MEMS-IMU/Odometer Integrated Navigation Module

Aiming at the GNSS receiver vulnerability in challenging urban environments and low power consumption of integrated navigation systems, an improved robust adaptive Kalman filter (IRAKF) algorithm with real-time performance and low computation complexity for single-frequency GNSS/MEMS-IMU/odometer integrated navigation module is proposed. The algorithm obtains the scale factor by the prediction residual, and uses it to adjust the artificially set covariance matrix of the observation vector under different GNSS solution states, so that the covariance matrix of the observation vector changes continuously with the complex scene. Then, the adaptive factor is calculated by the Mahalanobis distance to inflate the state prediction covariance matrix. In addition, the one-step prediction Kalman filter is introduced to reduce the computational complexity of the algorithm. The performance of the algorithm is verified by vehicle experiments in the challenging urban environments. Experiments show that the algorithm can effectively weaken the effects of abnormal model deviations and outliers in the measurements and improve the positioning accuracy of real-time integrated navigation. It can meet the requirements of low power consumption real-time vehicle navigation applications in the complex urban environment.
