In order to improve the transmission rate, a rate-embedded differential space-time code is proposed by embedding the full diversity full rate codes into the traditional differential space-time codes. Theoretic analysis shows that the proposed theme has many advantages, such as high coding gain and low bit error probability. Moreover, the simulation results testify that the new coding scheme can achieve desirable performance, as compared with the traditional differential space time coding schemes (unitary differential space time code, differential space time block code), especially when transmission rate is high and more receiving antennas are employed.
