Because of the uncertainty and subjectivity of decision makers in the complex decision-making environment,the evaluation information of alternatives given by decision makers is often fuzzy and *** a generalization of intuitionistic fuzzy set(IFSs)and Pythagoras fuzzy set(PFSs),q-rung orthopair fuzzy set(q-ROFS)is more suitable for expressing fuzzy and uncertain ***,in actual multiple attribute decision making(MADM)problems,the weights of DMs and attributes are always completely unknown or partly known,to date,the maximizing deviation method is a good tool to deal with such ***,combine the q-ROFS and conventional maximizing deviation method,we will study the maximizing deviation method under q-ROFSs and q-RIVOFSs in this ***,we briefly introduce the basic concept of q-rung orthopair fuzzy sets(q-ROFSs)and q-rung interval-valued orthopair fuzzy sets(q-RIVOFSs).Then,combine the maximizing deviation method with q-rung orthopair fuzzy information,we establish two new decision making *** this basis,the proposed models are applied to MADM problems with q-rung orthopair fuzzy *** with existing methods,the effectiveness and superiority of the new model are *** method can effectively solve the MADM problem whose decision information is represented by q-rung orthopair fuzzy numbers(q-ROFNs)and whose attributes are incomplete.

This paper develops a method for solving the multiple attribute decision-making problems with the single-valued neutrosophic information or interval neutrosophic information. We first propose two discrimination functions referred to as score function and accuracy function for ranking the neutrosophic numbers. An optimization model to determine the attribute weights that are partly known is established based on the maximizing deviation method. For the special situations where the information about attribute weights is completely unknown, we propose another optimization model. A practical and useful formula which can be used to determine the attribute weights is obtained by solving a proposed nonlinear optimization problem. To aggregate the neutrosophic information corresponding to each alternative, we utilize the neutrosophic weighted averaging operators which are the single-valued neutrosophic weighted averaging operator and the interval neutrosophic weighted averaging operator. Thus, we can determine the order of alternatives and choose the most desirable one(s) based on the score function and accuracy function. Finally, some illustrative examples are presented to verify the proposed approach and to present its effectiveness and practicality.

Computer multimedia technology first appeared in the late 1980s, which is a functional upgrade based on the development of digital technology. It can achieve functions such as information collection, processing, and storage. Multimedia technology has received widespread attention in the entire computer field and has become a popular technology. Against the backdrop of continuous technological development, various electronic products are presented to people, bringing convenience to their lives. At the same time, they also play a huge role in the work of some industries. The application of multimedia technology, advanced editing software, and digital equipment in the production of video works can present good results and showcase excellent film and television works for people. The application effect evaluation of multimedia technology in the film and television post-production is frequently viewed as a multi-attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) issue. The maximizing deviation method was used to obtain the weight information under intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IFSs). Depending on the MABAC (multi-attributive border approximation area comparison) method and IFSs, this paper design the intuitionistic fuzzy MABAC (IF-MABAC) method to assess the application effect evaluation of multimedia technology in the film and television post-production. Eventually, an example about application effect evaluation of multimedia technology in the film and television post-production and some comparative analysis have been employed to verify the superiority of the designed IF-MABAC method.

Analysis and application of r, s, t-spherical fuzzy Aczel-Alsina aggregation operators in multiple criteria decision-making

This study focuses on the development and application of Aczel-Alsina (AA) aggregation operators (AOs) in the context of r, s, t-spherical fuzzy set (SPFS) for multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems. We begin by defining various r, s, t-spherical fuzzy (SPF) AA operational laws and establishing their key properties. Subsequently, a series of AOs is introduced, including the r, s, t-SPF weighted averaging operator, r, s, t-SPF ordered weighted averaging operator, r, s, t-SPF hybrid averaging operator, r, s, t-SPF weighted geometric operator, r, s, t-SPF ordered weighted geometric operator, and r, s, t-SPF hybrid geometric operator. Each operator is discussed in relation to its specific properties, such as idempotency, monotonicity, boundedness, and commutativity. Furthermore, we utilize these operators to develop an MCDM methodology tailored to address r, s, t-SPF decision-making problems, particularly when the criteria weights are completely unknown. To demonstrate the practicality and effectiveness of our approach, a case study is presented, followed by parameter analysis and a comparative study.

Improved catastrophe progression method of underground goaf risk evaluation

In order to solve the problem of underground goafs, particularly in light of the importance ranking of evaluation indices being more subjective and catastrophe progression values being large and too concentrated in the catastrophe progression method, the importance of multiple indices is ranked by the maximizing deviation method. An S-shaped curve is used to establish a regression function to improve the value of catastrophe progression method. First, three first-level evaluation indices and eight second-level evaluation indices are selected to establish an index system for risk evaluation of the underground goaf. Next, based on the principle of catastrophe progression method, an improved catastrophe model for its risk evaluation is established. Finally, sample training and verification are performed based on the improved evaluation model. The evaluation results show that the improved catastrophe progression method objectively ranks the importance of the evaluation indices of each layer, which improves the credibility of the evaluation results. The evaluation results are consistent with the actual geological data and detection results, which verifies the validity and accuracy of the evaluation model. However, only 87.5% of the risk levels obtained by the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method are completely consistent with the improved catastrophe progression method, and the ranking error of risk value within one rank also accounted for 87.5%. Therefore, the results calculated by the improved catastrophe progression method are more accurate. The numerical gap of the improved catastrophe progression values becomes larger, from [0.796, 0.969] to [0.275, 0.691], which is 2.405 times of the interval difference of the catastrophe progression values before the improvement, which makes the numerical distribution of the catastrophe progression values more scientific and reasonable, with a higher resolution level. Failure Mode and Effect Analysis Using T-Spherical Fuzzy maximizing deviation and Combined Comparison Solution methods

Failure mode and effect analysis (FMEA) is a potent risk analytical instrument extensively utilized for enhancing systems' quality. Because the classical FMEA model has some deficiencies, numerous fuzzy set-based enhanced FMEA techniques have been developed to improve risk evaluation results' reasonability. However, most of them require experts to follow certain associated constraints when expressing preferences;otherwise, their preferences will be invalid, which limits experts' flexibility. In addition, the previous methods rarely consider the reliability of weight allocation results and the stabilization of risk ranking results. Many previous methods usually emphasize the local difference between assessments of failure modes in calculating objective weights and merely depend on one compromise solution in ranking failure modes, both of which may affect the precision of their results. To overcome these limitations, this study applies T-spherical fuzzy sets, the recent generalization of fuzzy sets without strict constraints, to flexibly characterize experts' preferences. Subsequently, a divergence-based maximizing deviation method is presented to determine the weights of experts and risk factors. A new consensus feedback mechanism is also introduced to achieve consensus among experts. Furthermore, a T-spherical fuzzy combined compromise solution method is presented to rank failure modes stably. Finally, a case study, sensitivity analysis, and comparisons show that the proposed model is effective and practically suitable.

Fermentation engineering is a technology that uses engineering technology to produce useful biological products for human beings by using certain functions of organisms (mainly microorganisms) and active isolated enzymes, or to directly control certain industrial production processes with the participation of microorganisms. With the progress of science and technology, fermentation technology has also developed greatly, and has entered the stage of modern fermentation engineering that can artificially control and modify microorganisms to make these microorganisms produce products for human beings. As an important part of modern biotechnology, modern fermentation engineering has a broad application prospect. The grain fermentation process quality evaluation is a classical MADM issues. In such paper, the generalized weighted Bonferroni mean (WBM) operator is constructed for MADM with single-valued neutrosophic sets (SVNSs). Then, the generalized single-valued neutrosophic number WBM (GSVNNWBM) operator is built and then the MADM decision methods are proposed based on the GSVNNWBM operator. Finally, an example about grain fermentation process quality comprehensive evaluation and some comparative analysis were given to demonstrate the GSVNNWBM method.

r, s, t-Spherical Fuzzy VIKOR method and Its Application in Multiple Criteria Group Decision Making

This study intends to significantly enhance the capacity of decision experts (DEs) to capture their judgment in a larger area. In order to accomplish this, we propound the r, s, t-spherical fuzzy set (r, s, t-SFS), an expansion of the t-spherical fuzzy set. In r, s, t-SFS the sum of the rth power of membership grade, sth power of neutral grade and the tth power of non-membership grade is less than or equal to 1, where r, s and t are natural numbers. Due to the inclusion of the extra parameters r and s, the r, s, t-SFS is able to describe assessment information in a more flexible and comprehensive manner. This work begins by defining r, s, t-SFS and demonstrating that it is an extension of various existing fuzzy sets. The fundamental operations, score, and accuracy functions of r, s, t-SFS are then introduced, and their mathematical features are examined. Also, we study some distance measures between r, s, t-SFSs and their required properties. Next, to aggregate r, s, t-spherical fuzzy data, r, s, t-spherical fuzzy weighted averaging (r, s, t-SFWA) and r, s, t-spherical fuzzy weighted geometric (r, s, t-SFWG) operators are bring forward along with some of their essential properties. Based on the proposed distance measure, maximizing deviation method is combined with r, s, t-spherical fuzzy information to establish the criteria weight determination method. Following this, we present r, s, t-spherical fuzzy VlseKriterijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR) method using the grounds of classical VIKOR method depending upon two focal properties, namely, group utility and individual regret of opponent. To demonstrate the use of the framed approach and exhibit its validity, we present a case study of arc welding robot selection. Besides, the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed VIKOR are proved by parameter analysis and comparison analysis findings.

Archimedean t-norm and t-conorm coupled q-rung orthopair fuzzy TOPSIS method for unknown criteria weighting information

To evaluate some real-life multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) problems, the decision-makers (DMs) need an interactive and flexible MCDM approach that works well for extended decision-making space and has the ability to apply any suitable operational laws to fuse the information under incomplete criteria weighting information. The objective of this study is to propose a multi-criteria group decision-making (MCGDM) approach to evaluate any real-life MCDM problem under incomplete criteria weighting information. To achieve the objective, the paper proposes an integrated MCGDM approach in which the q-rung orthopair fuzzy set (q-ROFS) is used to provide the extended decision-making space to the DMs, a transformative approach is applied to find the DMs' weights, the maximizing deviation method is implemented to find the criteria weights, Archimedean t-norm and t-conorm (ATU)-based operational laws are adopted to fuse the information, and the TOPSIS method is applied to rank the alternatives. The proposed integrated MCGDM approach has been applied to a real-life MCDM problem associated with the evaluation of different strategies implemented by governments to contain the COVID-19 pandemic. A sensitivity analysis is conducted to examine the impact of changes in the parameters involved in the proposed MCGDM approach on the results. A comparative analysis is also performed with some existing classical and aggregation operator-based MCDM methods to demonstrate the consistency of the proposed approach. Findings suggest that the proposed MCGDM approach is general and flexible enough to evaluate any real-life MCDM problem under unknown criteria weighting conditions.
