Stroke is a major contributor to mortality and impairment on a global scale, with few effective treatments available. Aberrant expression of various non-coding rnas (ncrnas) has been identified after stroke onset, impacting neurogenesis, angiogenesis, apoptosis, and autophagy. The roles and mechanisms of ncrnas hold great promise for future ischemic stroke treatments, as they could modify stroke impact and course on a well-controllable molecular level. Exploring the functions and underlying mechanisms of ncrnas after stroke has the potential to unveil novel therapeutic targets for the treatment of stroke and may also pave the way toward novel and more precise diagnostic options for stroke and stroke outcomes. This review emphasizes the importance of ncrnas in the treatment of stroke and their potential as therapeutic targets. The functions and mechanisms of lncrnas in the etiology and recovery of ischemic stroke, including oxidative stress, neurogenesis, inflammation, autophagy, apoptosis, NPSC survival, migration and maturation, and BBB formation.

The treatment of cancer patients has been prohibited by chemoresistance. Doxorubicin (DOX) is an anti-tumor compound disrupting proliferation and triggering cell cycle arrest via inhibiting activity of topoisomerase I and II. mirnas are endogenous rnas localized in cytoplasm to reduce gene level. Abnormal expression of mirnas changes DOX cytotoxicity. Overexpression of tumor-promoting mirnas induces DOX resistance, while tumor-suppressor mirnas inhibit DOX resistance. The mirna-mediated regulation of cell death and hallmarks of cancer can affect response to DOX chemotherapy in tumor cells. The transporters such as P-glycoprotein are regulated by mirnas in DOX chemotherapy. Upstream mediators including lncrnas and circrnas target mirnas in affecting capacity of DOX. The response to DOX chemotherapy can be facilitated after administration of agents that are mostly phytochemicals including curcumol, honokiol and ursolic acid. These agents can regulate mirna expression increasing DOX's cytotoxicity. Since delivery of DOX alone or in combination with other drugs and genes can cause synergistic impact, the nanoparticles have been introduced for drug *** abstractThe non-coding rnas determine the response of tumor cells to doxorubicin chemotherapy. micrornas play a key role in this case and they can be sponged by lncrnas and circrnas, showing interaction among non-coding rnas in the regulation of doxorubicin sensitivity.

Programmed cell death (PCD) plays an important role in many aspects of individual development, maintenance of body homeostasis and pathological processes. Ferroptosis is a novel form of PCD characterized by the accumulation of iron-dependent lipid peroxides resulting in lethal cell damage. It contributes to tumor progression in an apoptosis-independent manner. In recent years, an increasing number of non-coding rnas (ncrnas) have been demonstrated to mediate the biological process of ferroptosis, hence impacting carcinogenesis, progression, drug resistance, and prognosis. However, the clear regulatory mechanism for this phenomenon remains poorly understood. Moreover, ferroptosis does not usually exist independently. Its interaction with PCD, like apoptosis, necroptosis, autophagy, pyroptosis, and cuproptosis, to destroy cells appears to exist. Furthermore, ncrna seems to be involved. Here, we review the mechanisms by which ferroptosis occurs, dissect its relationship with other forms of death, summarize the key regulatory roles played by ncrnas, raise relevant questions and predict possible barriers to its application in the clinic, offering new ideas for targeted tumour therapy.

The immunocompetence and regeneration potential of the dental pulp and its surrounding apical tissues have been investigated extensively in the field of endodontics. While research on the role of non-coding rnas in these tissues is still in its infancy, it is envisioned that improved understanding of the regulatory function of ncrnas in pulpal and periapical immune response will help prevent or treat endodontic disease. Of particular importance is the role of these rnas in regenerating the dentin-pulp complex. In this review, we highlight recent progress on the role of non-coding rnas in the immune response to endodontic infection as well as the repair and regenerative response to injury.

Aim: We predicted the modulation of autophagy and apoptosis in response to temozolomide (TMZ) and IFN-? based on changes in the expression of non-coding rnas in C6-induced glioblastoma (GBM).Materials & methods: Each rat received an intraperitoneal injection of TMZ (7.5 mg/kg) and/or IFN-? (50,000 IU).Results: The reduced expression of H19 and colorectal neoplasia differentially expressed (CRNDE) was associated with a reduction in autophagy in response to TMZ, IFN-? and TMZ + IFN-? therapy, whereas the decreased level of miR-29a (proapoptotic mirna) was associated with an increase in apoptosis. Conclusion: It appears that H19 promotes switching from autophagy to apoptosis in response to combination therapy of TMZ and IFN-? through the miR-29a/autophagy-related protein 9A (ATG9A) pathway in C6-induced GBM.

Integrative analysis of glioblastoma multiforme: the power of non-coding rnas and hub genes in cancer research

This study aims to dissect the complex molecular landscape of glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), focusing on identifying key regulatory non-coding rnas and protein-coding genes that could serve as therapeutic targets and prognostic biomarkers. GBM is an aggressive form of brain cancer characterized by poor prognosis and limited treatment options. Recent advances in high-throughput genomic technologies have opened new avenues for understanding the molecular underpinnings of GBM, with a particular focus on the roles of ncrnas. We utilized multiple datasets from the NCBI Gene Expression Omnibus (GEO) to analyze mrna, mirna, lncrna, and circrna expression profiles in GBM versus normal brain tissues. Differential expression analysis was conducted using GEO2R, followed by pathway enrichment and protein-protein interaction (PPI) network analyses using DAVID and STRING databases, respectively. Hub genes were identified and validated through GEPIA2, and a competing endogenous rna (cerna) network was constructed to elucidate the interactions between non-coding rnas (ncrnas) and protein-coding genes. The study identified several differentially expressed genes and ncrnas, highlighting complex interactions within the PPI network and significant pathway enrichments implicated in GBM progression. The cerna network analysis revealed potential regulatory axes mediated by ncrnas. Validation of hub genes confirmed their differential expression and prognostic value. Additionally, correlations between gene expression, drug sensitivity, and immune cell infiltration were analyzed, offering insights into personalized therapeutic approaches. Our findings underscore the intricate molecular networks in GBM, emphasizing the role of ncrnas in tumor biology and their potential as therapeutic targets. The study highlights the necessity for further experimental validation of bioinformatics predictions to bridge the gap between genomic insights and clinical application, ultimately aiming to enhance the

A New rna-Seq Method to Detect the Transcription and non-coding rna in Prostate Cancer

Prostate cancer is a big killer in many regions especially American men, and this year, the diagnosed rate rises rapidly. We aimed to find the biomarker or any changing in prostate cancer patients. With the development of next generation sequencing, much genomic alteration has been found. Here, basing on the rna-seq result of human prostate cancer tissue, we tried to find the transcription or non-coding rna expressed differentially between normal tissue and prostate cancer tissue. 10 T sample data is the rna-seq data for prostate cancer tissue in this study, we found the differential gene is TFF3-Trefoil factor 3, which was more than seven fold change from prostate cancer tissue to normal tissue, and the most outstanding transcript is C15orf21. Additionally, 9 lncrnas were found according our method. Finally, we found the many important non-coding rna related to prostate cancer, some of them were long non-coding rna (lncrna).

Identification of non-coding rnas Based on Alignment-Free Features in Crassostrea gigas(Pacific Oyster)Transcriptome
