Observed-Mode-Dependent nonfragile control of Networked control Systems Under Hidden DoS Attacks

This article develops a methodology on observed-mode-dependent nonfragile control for networked control systems subject to denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, which takes the strong concealment of attack behavior into account. To describe complex switching phenomenon between different forms of attacks that the adversary may launch on communication channels, the semi-Markov chain (SMC) is introduced. DoS attacks with a stealth characteristic are analyzed from a hidden semi-Markov jump systems perspective by constructing a double-layer stochastic process consisting of an SMC and an observed mode sequence. With the aid of emission probability, an observed-mode-dependent nonfragile controller is designed, which can still stabilize the system even if actual attack modes are unavailable. By utilizing the Lyapunov function that depends on actual attack modes and observed ones, sufficient conditions to ensure the delta-error mean square stability of the closed-loop system is deduced. Eventually, a simulation related to the mass-spring-damper system with a single channel and an example of the unmanned ground vehicle with two channels are studied, both of which demonstrate the feasibility and validity.

The focus of this paper is to address the issue of event-triggered nonfragile guaranteed cost control in time-varying delays Markov jump systems (MJSs). The co-design scheme is proposed to develop a unified framework for designing the event-triggered strategy (ETS) and nonfragile mode-dependent fuzzy controller in time-varying delays MJSs, ensuring asymptotic mean square stability of the closed-loop system and meeting a specified cost level. The utilization of the ETS in these methods effectively reduces the upper bound of the prescribed cost level, as compared to methods that do not employ this strategy. Some sufficient conditions expressed by linear matrix inequality (LMI) have been developed. By employing certain inequality techniques to solve a set of LMI, the controller gain and upper bound of the prescribed cost level can be obtained. The proposed theoretical results are demonstrated to be both feasible and effective through two illustrative examples.

Outlier-Resistant nonfragile control of T-S Fuzzy Neural Networks With Reaction-Diffusion Terms and Its Application in Image Secure Communication

This article focuses on a new outlier-resistant non -fragile control issue for a class of Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy delayed neural networks with reaction-diffusion terms. Compared with the existing delayed neural networks, fuzzy control rules and reaction- diffusion phenomenon are considered simultaneously, which makes the proposed models more practical. Furthermore, when subjected to abnormal interference, measurement outputs result in measurement outliers. In order to mitigate the negative effects on the estimation error, a state estimator scheme is presented by introducing a saturation function. By using an appropriate Lyapunov- Krasovskii functional and with the help of a free-weighting matrix, sufficient conditions can be deduced to guarantee the asymptotical stability and prescribed H-8 performance index of the disturbance attenuation of the estimation error. Next, a design strategy of an outlier-resistant nonfragile state estimator is put forward by employing some decoupling techniques. An illustrative example is exploited to illustrate the validity and feasibility of the proposed state estimator. Finally, the obtained theoretical results are applied to image encryption. The experimental analysis demonstrates that the presented encryption scheme is feasible and effective.

This article, in the presence of sampling data and packet loss, is concerned with the formation regulation for a network of unmanned surface vehicles (USVs) within the leaderless framework. In-neighboring USVs' information is aperiodically sampled for broadcasting over interaction channels subject to constant transmission delay. A nonfragile control protocol is novelly constructed for seeking the desired formation with tolerating controller gain fluctuation. The introduction of a continuous switching signal with two values encouragingly governs the packet loss phenomenon. With the utilization of nonsingular transformation method, algebraic graph theory and Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional technique, one proves that the desired formation is achieved if a coupling relationship can be feasibly characterized by some sufficient conditions. For the description of global formation movement, a formation reference function in the nature of an unforced dynamic system with determined initial condition is promisingly derived. A simulation example is given to validate theoretical analysis.

This article addresses the fault estimation and nonfragile synchronization control for multiweighted complex dynamical networks against deception attacks. An event-triggered mechanism is proposed to reduce the redundant data transmission over the communication networks. Considering the network communication security, this article investigates deception attacks in the observer, where the adversary attempts to inject some false data in the measurement output to modify the transmitted signal in the communication networks. Some stochastic variables obeying the Bernoulli distribution are expressed to describe the probability of the deception attacks, which is determined by an attacker. Then based on Lyapunov stability theory, robust analysis method, some novel solvability criteria are presented such that the resultant augmented error system is asymptotically stable with a guaranteed H-infinity performance index. Further, the existence criterion of the desired event-triggered estimator is proposed in terms of a set of linear matrix inequalities. Finally, two illustrative examples including an F-404 aircraft engine model are provided to verify the effectiveness of the developed estimator design method.

This paper is concerned with the problem of nonfragile control for a class of fuzzy switched systems with mode-dependent time-varying delays. By constructing novelty Lyapunov function and employing a novel extended reciprocally convex discrete-time inequality, new sets of delay-variation-dependent stability criteria are derived. A nonfragile fuzzy controller is developed, via the parallel distributed compensation technique and stochastic analysis method. At last, numerical simulation is provided to show the effectiveness of achieved result.

This paper addresses the problem of nonfragile H-infinity control for periodic stochastic systems with probabilistic measurement. A novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is formulated, which makes full use of both delay and its change rate. In view of the measurement signal, the mode-dependent stochastic variables are employed and new sufficient conditions are achieved. nonfragile leader-following consensus control for Lurie descriptor fractional-order multi-agent systems

In this brief, the nonfragile leader-following consensus control issue of Lurie descriptor fractional-order multi-agent systems (LDFOMASs) is discussed with the order in (0,1)$$ \left(0,1\right) $$ and [1,2)$$ \left[1,2\right) $$, respectively. At first, a new model with one leader agent and N$$ N $$ follower agents is constructed, where dynamics of agents are described by Lurie descriptor fractional-order systems. Then, by applying the approximation linearization, eigenvalue decomposition, and interval uncertainty technologies, convert the leader-following consensus of LDFOMASs into the admissibility of descriptor fractional-order interval systems. Moreover, sufficient conditions which guarantee LDFOMASs to realize the consensus are obtained through the designed nonfragile state and output feedback schemes, respectively. Lastly, two numerical examples are given to clarify the validity of results presented.

This study introduces a nonfragile observer-based control strategy for power-line inspection robots (PILRs) that adeptly tackles input time delays while integrating passivity and H-infinity performance. The research commences with the development of a nonlinear system model for PILRs, where the equilibrium manifold linearization method is employed to transform these underactuated systems into a linear framework using scheduling variables. Given the challenges posed by input delays, parameter disturbances, and uncertainties in real-world applications, this study proposes a robust observer-based control framework. Utilizing Lyapunov-Krasovskii functions and linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), the strategy confirms the system's robustness in maintaining mixed passivity and H-infinity performance. Simulation assessments substantiate the effectiveness of the proposed control approach, demonstrating its capacity to uphold system stability under diverse operational conditions. The strategy significantly enhances the reliability and safety of PILRs operating in complex environments, marking a pivotal advancement in robotic technologies for maintaining and inspecting utility infrastructures. This contribution not only strengthens the operational capabilities of PILRs but also provides a scalable approach to handling uncertainties and disturbances in robotic control systems.

This paper introduces a innovative methodology to the implementation of nonfragile memory-based sampled- data control, aimed at ensuring exponential stability for Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) subject to time-varying coupling delays. To begin with, to address the global formation dynamics in leaderless swarm systems of Unmanned Surface Vehicles, an error function that characterizes an unforced dynamic system is presented, given specified initial conditions. Furthermore, in recognition of the practical hurdles posed by parameter uncertainties, continuous data transmission, and precise controller implementation, a novel memory- based sampled-data control protocol is proposed to enhance performance and cost efficiency. Subsequently, in light of dynamic disturbances and by accounting for the aforementioned factors, Lyapunov-Krasovskii functions (LKF) and Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs) are utilized to handle issues related to data sampling and time delays, guaranteeing exponential stability of the closed-loop system while achieving formation consistency. Finally, simulation results validate the effectiveness of the proposed control design methods.
