In article the algorithm of numerical modelling of the nonlinear equation of Korteweg-de Vrieze which generates nonlinear algorithm of digital processing of signals is considered. For realisation of the specified algorithm it is offered to use a inverse scattering method (ISM). algorithms of direct and return spectral problems, and also problems of evolution of the spectral data are in detail considered. Results of modelling are resulted.

Previously we have presented a method for selective sharpness enhancement of monochrome images. Our method is based on the simultaneous nonlinear reaction-diffusion time-evolution equipped with a nonlinear diffusion term, a reaction term and an overshooting term, and it can sharpen only degraded edges blurred by several causes without increasing the visibility of nuisance factors such as random noise. This paper extends our method to selective sharpening of color images. As to the how to extend it, we take into accounts some variations about the treatment of three color components and the selection of the color space. By experiments, we quantitatively evaluate performance of these variations. Among them, the collective treatment of color components based on the simultaneous full-nonlinear reaction-diffusion time-evolution achieves the best performance, and sharpens blurred color edges selectively much better than the existing sharpness enhancement methods such as the adaptive peaking method.

Previously we have presented a method for selective image sharpness enhancement. Our method is based on the simultaneous nonlinear reaction-diffusion time-evolution equipped with a nonlinear diffusion term, a reaction term and an isotropic peaking term, and it can sharpen only degraded edges blurred by several causes without increasing the visibility of nuisance factors such as random noise. This paper applies our simultaneous nonlinear reaction-diffusion method to removal of image blurs due to image-motion. The motion blur is not only shift-variant but also anisotropic. To adapt our simultaneous nonlinear reaction-diffusion method for motion de-blurring, we replace the isotropic Laplacian operator, included in the isotropic peaking term of our prototypal method, with the anisotropic operator considering the direction of the estimated image motion. Preliminarily experiments using artificially generated test images show that our method achieves excellent motion de-blurring.

In this paper, we present a nonlinear algorithm for critical point detection (CPD) of 2D digital shapes, The algorithm eliminates the problems arising from curvature approximation and Gaussian filtering in the existing algorithms, Based on the definition of ''critical level,'' we establish a set of criteria for the design of an effective CPD algorithm for the first time, By quantifying the critical level to the modified area confined by three consecutive ''pseudocritical points,'' a simple but very effective algorithm is developed. The comparison of our experimental results with those of many other CPD algorithms shows that the proposed algorithm is superior in that it provides a sequence of figures at every detail level, and each has a smaller integral error than the others with the same number of critical points, The experimental results on shapes with various complexities also show the algorithm is reliable and robust with regard to noise.

Active noise cancellation algorithms for impulsive noise

Impulsive noise is an important challenge for the practical implementation of active noise control (ANC) systems. The advantages and disadvantages of popular filtered-X least mean square (FXLMS) ANC algorithm and nonlinear filtered-X least mean M-estimate (FXLMM) algorithm are discussed in this paper. A new modified FXLMM algorithm is also proposed to achieve better performance in controlling impulsive noise. Computer simulations and experiments are carried out for all three algorithms and the results are presented and analyzed. The results show that the FXLMM and modified FXLMM algorithms are more robust in suppressing the adverse effect of sudden large amplitude impulses than FXLMS algorithm, and in particular, the proposed modified FXLMM algorithm can achieve better stability without sacrificing the performance of residual noise when encountering impulses. Stabilization of Motion of the Wheeled Transport Robot without a Steering Wheel

The model of wheeled transport robot without a steering wheel, taking into account dynamic effects, is considered. The nonlinear algorithm of stabilizing the motion of such model is proposed. This algorithm is generalized to the case of tracking the given program trajectory by the robot. The effectiveness of the proposed algorithms is illustrated by examples.

Practical self-calibration of pan-tilt cameras

The authors propose a practical self-calibration method of rotating and zooming cameras. The problem with previous methods occurs when the camera motion is almost fully zoomed with very little rotation, which is called the 'near-degenerate' configuration. In that case, the solutions become unstable and rotation angles cannot be calculated. When a pan-tilt camera (without z-axis rotation) is adopted and the intrinsic camera parameters are simplified. the near-degenerate configuration can be overcome and a closed-form solution obtained. Because pan-tilt cameras can be assumed for most stationary cameras (i.e. without translation) and the assumptions about the intrinsic camera parameters do not seem to effect the self-calibration, the method provides a simple, practical solution to the self-calibration problem, In addition, the authors introduce a nonlinear algorithm that adjusts not only the camera parameters but also the inter-image homography so that more accurate image registration is made possible. Simulations and experiments with real images are presented.

TEMPERATURE DISTRIBUTIONS PRODUCED IN MULTILAYER STRUCTURES BY A SCANNING CW LASER-BEAM

Laplace-transformed Green's function solutions to linear heat equations are derived for multilayered structures. An analytic expression for linear temperature distribution produced by a scanning CW elliptical Gaussian laser beam is given in a double integral form and its numerical results are presented. In conjunction with the linear temperature formula, a nonlinear algorithm has been developed in order to incorporate temperature-dependent thermal diffusivity, conductivity, and surface reflectivity. The temperature distributions for the Si/SiO2/Si structure are calculated, including effects of melting of Si. From comparison between the calculation and a measurement on the melting width, it is found that the excess energy absorbed above the melting temperature is spatially redistributed on melting.

On Control of Composite Wheeled Vehicle with Three Steering Wheels

The control problem of double-link wheeled transport robot with three steering wheels is considered in kinematic approach. For this object the algorithms of program trajectory selection, the synthesis of stabilization system and synthesis of servosystem are offered. It is noted, that as a result of using the offered synthesis algorithms of stabilization system and servosystem there are obtained the true nonlinear algorithms. The good performance of these algorithms is not limited only by small initial deviations. To demonstrate the efficiency of the given approach some examples were considered.
