In order to arising the safety and reliabillity of numerical control system, aiming at the conventionally used encoders in the system as the equipment of feedback in position-loop, the data mining of its fault is analyzed. Benefiting from the reluctant information of velocity in the normal servo system, the principle component analysis is introduced to solving the fault of losing codes and pausing codes in the encoder. At the same time, the basic principles and flow process are presented. In order to validate the effectiveness of the mining way based on the software of Matlab., simulation shows that it can perform a very exact diagnosis at the time of fault occurring. This idea provides a believable way for the fault data mining in numeric control system.

Using the TMS320C31 floating-point family DSP devices from the U.S. TI Company to have built the slave system for numeric control lathes. It makes full use of the advantages of TMS320C31 DSP, such as high-speed, high precision motion control in real time, to implement the linear and circular interpolation algorithms, sports section of acceleration and deceleration control content. Experiments show that: not only ensured the precision of digital control systems, and improved the interpolation of real time;solved the uniform allocation while any given pulse number in interpolation cycle;overcame the poor flexibility of original digital logic circuits of interpolation. Multi-axis control can be achieved to improve overall system performance. It's with high practical value.

An Optimal control Problem for a Rotating Elastic Crane-Trolley-Load System

In this study we present an extension of a model of an elastic crane transporting a load by means of controlling the crane trolley motion and the crane rotation. In addition to the model considered in Kimmerle et al. (2017), we allow for rotations of the crane and include damping of the trolley and moments of inertia as well. We derive a fully coupled system of ordinary differential equations (ODE), representing the trolley and load (modelled as a pendulum), and partial differential equations (PDE), i.e. the linear elasticity equations for the deformed crane beam. The objective to be minimized is a linear combination of the terminal time, the control effort, the kinetic energy of the load, and penalty terms for the terminal conditions. We show the Fréchet-differentiability of the mechanical displacement field with respect to the location of the boundary condition that is moving. This is a crucial point for a further mathematical analysis on the existence of optimal controls and the derivation of necessary optimality conditions. Finally we present first results for the full time-optimal control of the extended model. © 2018

The application of standard Intel processor based personal computers and the Windows operating system is a trend that cannot be ignored. An integrated PC card is described which extends NC controllers with new feature: network communication, floppy disk and hard disk and flash drive. This Sharing over web is an effective approach to improve the utilization factor of numeric control (NC) equipments. However, the complex schedule of the multi-queuing system has always been the difficulty of the sharing system. This research applies the burgeoning grid technology regarding the NC resource scheduling as the Constraint Satisfaction Problem (CSP) to develop the correlation-based self-organizing model, involving both logic model and computational model, which constructed based on the analysis of the complex correlations among the NC resource. The self-organizing CSP model is able to provide the mathematic foundation for overcoming the above difficulty in multi-queuing system.

Following the recent trend towards small lot production and large numbers of product variations, an “autonomous production cell” (APC) is being developed at Aachen University of Technology. The article describes the basic concepts of the APC with special focus on it’s programming interface. To enable a high-level data interface between programming department and numeric control, a feature-based approach is used, which is compatible with the ISO STEP standard.

This paper presents a study on the evolution of CAM systems. Today, machining strategies and tool paths calculation algorithms are well established. However, a new concept of certification of tool paths must be introduced to enable the computed tool path to respect all the constraints imposed by the manufacturing process and to guarante to obtain suitable parts. This certification may ensure a reduction of machining time and cost.
