The previous particle swarm optimizers lack direct mechanism to prevent particles beyond predefined search space, which results in invalid solutions in some special cases. A momentum factor is introduced into the original particle swarm optimizer to resolve this problem. Furthermore, in order to accelerate convergence, a new strategy about updating velocities is given. The resulting approach is mromentum-PSO which guarantees that particles are never beyond predefined search space without checking boundary in every iteration. In addition, linearly decreasing wight PSO (LDW-PSO) equipped with a boundary checking strategy is also discussed, which is denoted as LDWBC-PSO. LDW-PSO, LDWBC-PSO and momentum-PSO are compared in optimization on five test functions. The experimental results show that in some special cases LDW-PSO finds invalid solutions and LDWBC-PSO has poor performance, while momentum-PSO not only exhibits good performance but also reduces computational cost for updating velocities.

Deployment of smart cell's importance in the LTE system provides support in bandwidth requirement and consumption of power in the network. The system proposes scheduling algorithm. for improvement in the throughput of the system. It uses the Hungarian algorithm.for optimization and for packet success rate improvement. The main objective is to improve the throughput of the system by using the optimization scheduling method. The new planning calculation will bring about a worthy throughput and gives some reasonableness between clients. The result shows the improvement in throughput distribution and packet success rate (PSR) by the use of Hungarian optimization. All the simulations have been done in the MATLAB software.

Rubber torsional dampers with one degree of freedom are a long-time proven tool for vibration damping in crank mechanisms, especially for passenger cars. Their advantages include, in particular, a relatively simple design and low production costs. The viscoelastic coupling of the damper ring with the basic dynamic system is realized by a rubber spring made of natural or synthetic rubber. The disadvantages of rubber dampers are, in particular, insufficient damping properties of the rubber spring compared with the optimal values resulting from the respective calculation models. This limits the application of rubber dampers to larger power units, such as diesel engines for tractors and trucks. The article deals with the design and optimization of the parameters of an unconventional rubber torsional damper with two degrees of freedom, which even with limited damping parameters of the rubber springs shows a significantly higher damping effect compared to the common design of rubber dampers with one degree of freedom.

Reducing of frictional losses between moving parts of drivelines is a permanently current topic for both conventional internal combustion engines and modern hybrid or electric drives. The application of low viscosity oils leads to the reduction of friction losses of moving engine components and thus to low fuel consumption. Further measures to increase efficiency, such as reducing the oil flow rate, must also be taken into account in their effect on functional behavior. All in all, these measures place increased demands on the functionality and durability of engine components such as piston rings and plain bearings. The effects of low viscosity engine oils on piston rings and plain bearings can be evaluated using specific computational tools and newly developed test methods. Another option to reduce the power dissipation in drive units is the application of a suitable torsional vibration damper type.

A new systematic and efficient algorithm.to obtain the ten complex constants of piezoelectric materials belonging to the 6 mm symmetry class was developed. A finite element method routine was implemented in Matlab using eight-node axisymmetric elements. The algorithm.raises the electrical conductance and resistance curves and calculates the quadratic difference between the experimental and numerical curves. Finally, to minimize the difference, an optimization algorithm.based on the “Method of Moving Asymptotes” (MMA) is used. The algorithm.is able to adjust the curves over a wide frequency range obtaining the real and imaginary parts of the material properties simultaneously.
