The purpose of the present paper is to build a driving algorithm ensuring, from the point of view of the captured wind energy, the wind turbine's operation within the optimum area, based on the measurements of the wind speed. The optimum values of the permanent magnet synchronous generator's (PMSG) delivered power are determined based on the kinetic moment equation, such that the PMSG's mechanical angular speed tends towards the optimum one. The operation of one wind power turbine, within the wind farm located in Dobrogea, is analyzed by measuring the wind speed with a sampling step of 30 [s]. The optimum values of the PMSG's delivered power are compared with the real ones, measured at the permanent magnet synchronous generator output. Finally, the conclusion are drawn.

Passive radars are such radars that record and process signals of the objects own radiation within the radio wave band. They are used to solve a wide range of remote sensing problems. The observations registered by such radars are a mixture of stochastic signals of the investigated and interfering objects, as well as the internal noise of the receiver. Signals and noise are completely random, and their statistical characteristics are the same. Another feature of the transmitting radio thermal signals is that their emission spectrum is ultra-wideband (UWB) (except for polyatomic gases, which are characterized by discrete absorption and emission lines). Therefore, it is expedient to provide wide-or UWB for the passive radars operating frequencies band. Transition to UWB signal processing requires the improvement of the passive UWB radars theory. This theory should be able to synthesize new algorithms for signal processing and reveal the physical essence of parameter estimates at the output of the radar. This will allow solving the inverse problems of estimating the parameters and characteristics of the objects. Results of many years of research are summarized in this paper, a logical connection is formed between the key elements of the microwave radiation theory, the mathematical apparatus for processing UWB signals and the fundamentals of the optimal signal processing algorithms synthesis. Examples of the signal processing algorithm synthesis in a single-and a multichannel passive radar are also given.

Improving the efficiency critical issue for electric vehicle's technologies. Suitable parameters of this system are beneficial to enhancing the fuel economy and extending the mileage since battery on electric vehicle has a limit of capacity. In this paper, we establish models of vehicle system and components in MATLAB/Simulink to study parameter design for electric vehicle. We apply genetic algorithm in optimizing parameters of the prototype. Control strategy is also discussed to obtain the optimal performance of electric vehicle. We use simulations to test our proposed design. The electric vehicle can meet the requirement of power and fuel economy characteristic. Improvement is obtained through optimizing the parameters of transmission. These results show an agreement between the theory and our design.

Virtual supply chain based on cybermediary (VSC-CM) is an innovative VSC pattern meeting informationization development requirements in the manufacturing industry. Methods and features of customer-demand-oriented optimum VSC design adopted by CM are discussed. A customer demand goal system applying to VSC-CM design and quantifying methods of these goals are accordingly given. Then a three-stage optimum VSC design scheme based on dynamic goals is designed, which considers both the holistic optimization of VSC and individuation demands of member enterprises. To implement the scheme, an optimum algorithm synthesizing fuzzy c-means clustering algorithm and topsis comprehensive evaluation algorithm is presented. Feasibility and rapidity of this scheme is proved through a case analysis finally.

The fraction of vegetation cover (FVC) is often estimated by unmixing a linear mixture model (LMM) to assess the horizontal spread of vegetation within a pixel based on a remotely sensed reflectance spectrum. The LMM-based algorithm produces results that can vary to a certain degree, depending on the model assumptions. For example, the robustness of the results depends on the presence of errors in the measured reflectance spectra. The objective of this study was to derive a factor that could be used to assess the robustness of LMM-based algorithms under a two-endmember assumption. The factor was derived from the analytical relationship between FVC values determined according to several previously described algorithms. The factor depended on the target spectra, endmember spectra, and choice of the spectral vegetation index. Numerical simulations were conducted to demonstrate the dependence and usefulness of the technique in terms of robustness against the measurement noise.

The analytic hierarchy process approach is usually applied to the bridge state assessment, but it can't reflect the uncertainty and fuzziness of the index. In this paper, an uncertain analytic hierarchy process was applied to the multistage synthesis fuzzy assessment of bridge structures. Adopting the uncertain weight judgment matrix, the optimized weight values were obtained through the optimum algorithm. Then the comment scores were fuzzed through the grade membership function of the fuzzy theory. When the fuzzy results were carried out, the grade of bridge state was determined by the maximal subjection grade and its near degree. In the end, an instance was given to prove the feasibility of using the uncertain analytic hierarchy process in the bridge state assessment.
