In this paper, a parallel combinatory spread spectrum (PC/SS) system using a constant amplitude signaling scheme is proposed. The amplitude of the transmitted signal from multicode transmission systems such as PC/SS systems have a large dynamic range which requires that amplifiers have a wide linearity in the transmitter. From a view point of power efficiency, however, it is reasonable to use non-linear amplifiers rather than linear ones. In that case, the bit error rate performance must degrade because of non-linear distortion. The proposed system can avoid influence of the non-linear amplifiers by making the transmitted signal have a constant amplitude. The bit error rate performance and the data transmission rate performance are investigated. They prove that the proposed system is an attractive candidate among the constant amplitude signaling systems.

A new ultra wideband (UWB) communication system based on parallel combinatory spread spectrum (PCSS) is proposed in this paper. The proposed system have the advantages both of PCSS system and UWB system, such as the high efficiency of information transmission and excellent secret property. Thus, the proposed system can meet the needs of efficiency and security as the same time in the modern communication system. The simulation model is provided and the performance is analyzed. The simulation results indicate that the UWB system based on PCSS has a better bit error rate (BER) performance.

To reduce the influence of imperfect correlation characteristic between the spread sequences and noise in the channel on the performance of detection algorithms, two improved algorithms used to detect parallel combinatory spread spectrum (PCSS) signal are proposed. The improved detection algorithms based on cyclic correlation apply the cyclic correlation characteristic of PCSS signals to suppress Inner-interference and noise as well as jamming in the channel. And the other ones based on multi-user detection (MUD) use the configuration characteristic of PCSS signal to Improve the performance of the detection. The mathematics models of improved detection algorithms are provided and the performances are analyzed. Theoretic analysis and experimental results indicate that the improved algorithms based on cyclic correlation have the better performance to suppress noise and jamming in the channel and the Improved algorithms based on MUD have the better performance to suppress inner-interference as the result of imperfect correlation characteristic between the spread sequences. At the same time, the complexities of the algorithms are increased that limit their applied occasion except for abrupt communication systems.

In the parallel combinatory spread spectrum (PCSS) system, the modulated symbols are with different probability, rather than equal probability like in the original communication system. Hence the existing constellation for equal probability points are no longer the best choice. In this paper, for the symbols with different probability, a constellation design method is provided to achieve a lager minimum Euclidean distance than the convolutional constellation. Further, according to this method, a new constellation is designed for the PCSS. The simulation results show that the PCSS with the new designed constellation achieves a better performance than the original PCSS.

spreadspectrum (SS) modulation is one of the most commonly used methods for data hiding. However, the capacity of SS-based methods is rather limited. To improve the hiding efficiency, this paper presents a method that employs the parallel combinatory spread spectrum (PCSS), in which the hidden data can be transmitted in parallel with a combination of a few pseudo noise sequences. An informed embedding strategy is applied to PCSS data hiding to improve its robustness. Compared with the methods using the techniques of code division multiple access (CDMA) and M-ary SS modulation, the proposed method can provide a much higher achievable capacity with similar decoding complexity. This method is evaluated in an audio data hiding system, and the experimental results show that the embedded data can resist typical signal processing and attacks, even in high-capacity applications.

This paper presents a novel parallel combinatory spread spectrum(PC/SS) communication system which combining with channel estimation *** can be used to realize adaptive variable-rate data *** the channel condition changes during the communication process,the number of the selected PN sequences is changed through the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) feed-backed from the channel estimation[1].So as to realize the control the data transmission *** the number is denoted by *** simulation results show that choosing large r-value for large SNR and choosing small r-value for small SNR can ensure the bit error rate below 10 and improve the average data transmission rate.
