In this paper we propose an algorithm based on prioritization for coordinating autonomously guided vehicles (AGVs) in a grid/mesh topology, where the tasks arrive online into the system. The method combines a decentralized control mechanism based on prioritization with an optimization subroutine to resolve eventually occurring deadlock situations.
