The paper deals with new approaches in software design for creating real-time applications that use modern graphics acceleration hardware. The growing complexity of such type of software compels programmers to use different types of CASE systems in design and development process. The subject under discussion is integration of such systems in a development process, their effective use, and the combination of these new methods with the necessity to produce optimal codes. A method of simulation integration and modeling tools in real-time software development cycle is described.

Urban renewal is not only the physical form update, but also its internal economic and social factors update. Under the market economic system, sustainable economic regeneration is a viable way to renew the historic area. So the planning should use more effective methods based on market conditions in practices such as the programming methods. programming is aimed at the understanding of the value in historic city, determine the appropriate development orientation, coordinate the multiple subjects of interest, transfer the function to increase the economic value, in order to promote the protection and renew of the physical environment in a sustainable circle. According to the requirements of project practice, design programming can divide in five phases in working, including: site evaluation, project objective, development mode, benefits estimate and implementation strategy.

Easy-to-use programming methods for robotic manufacturing systems are a key element in enabling a wider audience to benefit from increasing automation. This paper provides an overview of current programming methods for industrial mating operations. More specifically, the review focuses on programming methods for welding and assembly tasks. While welding is mainly concerned with the exact definition of the free space trajectories, assembly tasks revolve around the contact with the environment. Thus, the two tasks at hand not only represent two of the most common robotic applications, but also two distinct groups of operations that place very different demands on the programming interface.

There are several ways to achieve the goals. Some ways are more direct and faster, and others are slower. Some ways lead to a goal, while others do not. It depends on the chosen way-procedure to achieve the chosen goals. A similar problem is experienced by teachers of programming. They often solves the fundamental problem of what programming style is best for introducing learning of programming. The goal of the learning of programming is to design and creation of object-oriented programming applications. Ways to reach the goals is several. Some teachers begin to teach the students by object-oriented design, which is followed by structured designs. Other teachers prefer completely opposite approach. They teach a structured design first followed by object-oriented constructs. These two methods of teaching of object-oriented programming are known Objects-First and Objects-Later techniques of learning of programming. These techniques are the most common practices of teaching programming. The paper presents results of research of application of above mentioned techniques to learning of object-oriented structures. The research was conducted among the students of study program Teaching of Education, Faculty of Science, University of Hradec Kralove in the academic years 2013/2014 and 2014/2015.

Master of Software Engineering (MSE) programs are relatively new. Starting such a program is expensive in terms of human and capital resources. Some of the costs are: preparation of new course materials, acquisition of sophisticated equipment and software, and maintenance of a low student/faculty ratio. In addition, MSE students and faculty have special needs, such as technical background and familiarity with current industrial practices. Wang Institute's MSE program has evolved rapidly in response to many of these demands. Capital expenditures have been large, and much time and effort have been spent creating and polishing the curriculum.

The object-oriented paradigm shows great potential as a means for revolutionizing software development. In the last decade, much research has been directed towards the development of design methods, languages, environments, reusable libraries of software components and database systems to support this paradigm. The first part of the paper presents the terminology of the object-oriented paradigm, reviews the state-of-the-art in object-oriented programming and discusses class libraries and object-oriented design. The second part of the paper discusses its application in the area of computer-aided control system design. It is argued that the adoption of these ideas will increase greatly the productivity of software developers in this field and improve the facilities that will be offered to users.

Many have sought a software design process that permits a program to be derived systematically from a precise statement of requirements. Although a successful design of real product is not possible in that manner, documentation can be produced that makes it appear that the software was designed by such a process. A description is provided of the ideal process and the documentation that it requires. A rationale is presented that explains why one should attempt to design according to an ideal process. The reasons that the documentation created by such a process should be produced are explored. The contents of each of the required documents are described. Although it is very difficult to be a rational designer, results yield a product that can be understood, maintained, and reused.

The name "congruent design" has been coined to describe the process of designing a program so that its structure is congruent with either the data it processes or the physical process it emulates. The methodologies of data-structured design and Jackson structured programming have developed this idea extensively. Some basic ideas are discussed to provide insights into the program design process and the way complexity appears and is handled by various design alternatives. For illustration, the Warnier-Orr notation is chosen. Descriptions of modeling data structures, deriving simple program models, data mappings, resolving structure clashes, and process modeling are included. It is shown that congruent design offers the programmer the opportunity to consistently produce elegant, efficient program structures.

A familiarity with programming methods aids the librarian in serving as part of a team with computer professionals. In school, many librarians were required to write simple computer programs using methods from Procedural programming, although this term may not have been explicitly used. In reading more modern technical literature, the librarian often comes across the term "Object Oriented programming" (OOP), which has been increasingly used in the past few decades. To gain familiarity with the use and differences of these two methods, this article presents a simple mathematical problem and how it would be approached in both Procedural and Object Oriented programming. It then moves to more complex situations that highlight the advantages of using OOP. This article also highlights similarities and differences between these two widely used programming methods as well as steps in the design process that make use of the traditional librarian skills of classification. © Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.

The operation of different energy sources in a MicroGrid (MG) has to be monitored and controlled by means of the Energy Management Systems (EMS) both in the grid-connected and islanded modes. In the first case, the MG can be seen as a single controllable unit by the grid operator whereas in the islanded mode the successful balance between internal load and planned generation is also required. In this paper, the architecture of an experimental MG is described. Modbus TCP/IP is used as the communication protocol in the MG to receive data and send commands to different components within the system, and monitoring by means of cabled signals is performed. Furthermore, in order to efficiently cater for electric and thermal demand, a central EMS is aimed to evaluate different procedures for the day-ahead scheduling of a MG. In particular, operational planning is proposed and applied to a selected configuration of a testbed facility at Politecnico di Bari. Grid-connected as well as stand-alone configurations are tested.
