pseudo-random code Generator Design for Satellite Transponder of 5G Wireless Networks

In satellite communication systems, a data stream for a direct sequence spread spectrum transmitter is multiplied by a pseudo-random code. It can then be transmitted over the same microwave channel as multiple users. Correlating the received composite signal with the provided pseudo-random code at the receiver end will extract the original data stream without interference. The proposed transponder models here are to achieve the objective of minimizing the satellite onboard components, increasing the speed of operations for higher bandwidth, and transmitting more information to a large group of users. However, taking advantage of this technology and overcoming the challenges of implementing it in a real-time environment, a satellite transponder was designed at a speed of 128 bps. The satellite transponder here is to accommodate satellites interconnecting 5G wireless networking systems. This paper describes the useful roles of pseudo-random code generations and the methods of applications to track the desired binary data bit sequences according to the preferred carrier frequency channels. The designed transponder schematic circuit was tested for the received uplink signal at the carrier frequency 13 GHz and transmit downlink signal at 11 GHz. To evaluate the designed onboard transmitter system performance, initially, the system was analyzed in terms of energy per bit-to-noise power spectral density ratio, bit error rate, and finally signal-to-noise power ratio. The design system was measured for the operations with minimum bandwidth of 100 MHz upto 1.28 GHz for the input bit rates of 200 Mbps upto 2.56 Gbps respectively.

In this paper, a laser joint ranging method, which integrates the pseudo-random code with the single-tone signal, is proposed for realizing high accuracy and precision. The single-tone signal utilizes a phase-shift method for high-precision ranging, while the pseudo-random code is employed to solve the distance ambiguity problem in the phase-shift method. The merging of the pseudo-random code with the single-tone signal in the digital domain and the data processing in the digital domain achieve simultaneous modulation and simultaneous ranging, which ensures the complete synchronization of the two signals during both transmission and processing. Furthermore, the pseudo-random code is band-limited, which ensures that the pseudo-random code signal and the single-tone signal do not overlap spectrally, thus preventing interference between them. The experimental results indicate that the ranging accuracy is 59.84 mu m and the ranging precision is 14.72 mu m. Finally, the article analyzes the selection principles of single-tone signal and pseudo-random code, providing a reference for the selection of single-tone signal and pseudo-random code in this joint ranging method.

Intensity-modulated direct-detection Doppler LiDAR (IM-DDDL) with pseudo-random code is demonstrated for range and speed measurement of a hard target. This IM-DDDL has key features of 1) long-time coherent signal accumulation without requirement of narrow-linewidth laser source, 2) high receiving sensitivity with optical direct down-conversion of modulation frequency, 3) ranging using pseudo-random code, and 4) Doppler shift detection at baseband frequency. These features are demonstrated in preliminary experiments with fiber-based circuit at 1550 nm wavelength which has eye-safety. The employment of fiber-based configuration contributes to compactness and reliability of the instrument. Ranging function using pseudo-random code is suitable for prevention from interference between multiple LiDARs. The condition for detecting Doppler frequency shift is also shown. A moving stroke of a target within a measurement time needs to be enough larger than the wavelength of modulation frequency. Process for future practical use and application to volumetric target sensing are additionally investigated.

A high-spatial-resolution coherent Doppler wind lidar (CDWL) incorporating pseudo-random phase-shift keying (PR-PSK) modulation is proposed and demonstrated. The pseudo-random phase coding technique can enhance the spatial resolution without broadening the backscattered spectrum but suffers from the non-instantaneous transition edges caused by the limited bandwidth. In this work, ideal binary PSK modulation is achieved by exploiting the zero crossing of the Mach-Zehnder modulator's (MZM) transfer function, thus greatly reducing the bandwidth requirement. The amplitude shaping and phase modulation of the pulses are naturally aligned as they are realized together in one MZM. Meanwhile, a real-time bias monitoring scheme for the MZM is proposed to facilitate engineering applications. At laser peak power of 300 W, continuous radial wind profile measurement in 800 m is demonstrated, with spatial/temporal resolution of 3 m/0.5 s.

A high spatial resolution coherent Doppler wind lidar (CDWL) incorporating pseudo-random phase coding (PRPC) is proposed and demonstrated. random phase coding of the transmitted lightwave spreads the atmospheric backscattered spectrum and the spatial resolution can be enhanced as only the signal with specific time delay could be despread during decoding. The narrow peak of the despread spectrum provides higher wind velocity retrieval accuracy compared with conventional pulsed CDWL with the same spatial resolution. Spectrum difference is applied to reduce the interference between the spread and despread spectra. The new method's performance is verified in a comparison experiment with a non-coding CDWL. Continuous radial wind profile measurement over 800 m is demonstrated with spatial/temporal resolution of 4.5 m/1 s, at laser peak power of 250 W.

The angular displacement sensor is a digital angular displacement measurement device that integrates optics, mechanics, and electronics. It has important applications in communication, servo control, aerospace, and other fields. Although conventional angular displacement sensors can achieve extremely high measurement accuracy and resolution, they cannot be integrated because complex signal processing circuitry is required at the photoelectric receiver, which limits their suitability for robotics and automotive applications. The design of a fully integrated line array angular displacement-sensing chip is presented for the first time using a combination of pseudo-random and incremental code channel designs. Based on the charge redistribution principle, a fully differential 12-bit, 1 MSPS sampling rate successive approximation analog-to-digital converter (SAR ADC) is designed for quantization and subdivision of the incremental code channel output signal. The design is verified with a 0.35 mu m CMOS process and the area of the overall system is 3.5 x 1.8 mm(2). The fully integrated design of the detector array and readout circuit is realized for the angular displacement sensing.

Aiming at the demand of improving anti-interference and real-time performance of a new type laser semi-active four-quadrant proportional guidance device, this paper proposes a controller architecture based on ARM+FPGA which improves the real-time performance and complex code pattern detection ability of the system by increasing the co-processing ability, and adopts LQG/LTR algorithm to design the control strategy of the servo tracking system to improve the fast and stable tracking ability and robustness. The experimental results show that the pulse acquisition accuracy of the system reaches 30ns, the analog acquisition synchronization accuracy reaches 13ns, the analog acquisition accuracy reaches 0.3 degrees 4 the gain control response time is less than 3.77 ms, and the pseudo-random code recognition delay is less than 100ms, which effectively improves the real-time performance and robustness of the laser semi-active proportional guidance device.

A new subspace method applied to through-the-wall radar for clutter mitigation is presented. The pseudo-random code continuous wave radar is used and the wall subspace selection algorithm is introduced. The performance of this method is demonstrated and compared with the singular value decomposition-based clutter mitigation methods. Results confirm that the new subspace method suppresses the wall clutter more thoroughly under the same conditions.

A Novel Method of Wireless Power Transfer Identification and Resonance Decoupling Based on Frequency Hopping Communication

Aiming at the risk of electricity theft of wireless power transfer (WPT) technology due to its untargeted and non-directional characteristics, a novel method of identification and resonance decoupling based on frequency hopping communication is proposed. The basic principle of the identification method is to make the resonant frequency of transmitter coil and receiver coil jump synchronously and randomly according to the pseudo-random code sequence, which can identify the load in single-source single-user mode and single-source multi-user mode respectively by calculating energy consumption ratio. And if user is illegal, then the resonant frequency of system jumps randomly to cut off the power, which is named resonance decoupling. The experimental circuit is designed on the basis of theoretical analysis and the method is verified. The test results are consistent with theoretical analysis, which has proved the validity of the method. This paper not only provides a solution to the power management of WPT system, but also is a support for the measurement of electricity, moreover, it is conducive to the further application and promotion of WPT technology.

In this paper, we analyze the characteristics of pseudo-random code, by the case of m sequence. Depending on the description of coding theory, we introduce the jamming methods. We simulate the interference effect or probability model by the means of MATLAB to consolidate. In accordance with the length of decoding time the adversary spent, we find out the optimal formula and optimal coefficients based on machine learning. Then we get the new optimal interference code. Firstly, when it comes to the phase of recognition, this study judges the effect of interference by the way of simulating the length of time over the decoding period of laser seeker. Then, we use laser active deception jamming simulate interference process in the tracking phase in the next block. In this study we choose the method of laser active deception jamming. In order to improve the performance of the interference, this paper simulate the model by MATLAB software. We find out the least number of pulse interval, which must be received, then we can make the conclusion that the precise interval number of the laser pointer for m sequence encoding. In order to find the shortest space, we make the choice of the greatest common divisor method. Then, combining with the coding regularity that have been found before, we restore pulse interval of pseudo-random code, which has been already received. Finally, we can control the time period of laser interference and get the optimal interference code, also increase the probability of interference as well.
