The complexity of Fuel Cell (FC) systems demands a profound and sustained understanding of the various phenomena occurring inside of it. Thus far, FCs, especially Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFCs), have been recognized as being among the most promising technologies for reducing Green House Gas (GHG) emissions because they can convert the chemical energy bonded to hydrogen and oxygen into electricity and heat. However, their efficiency remains limited. To enhance their efficiency, two distinct factors are suggested. First, the quality of materials plays a significant role in the development of more robust and efficient FCs. Second, the ability to identify, mitigate, and reduce the occurrence of faults through the use of robust control algorithms is crucial. Therefore, more focused on the second point, this paper compiles, distinguishes, and analyzes several publications from the past 25 years related to faults and their diagnostic techniques in FCs. Furthermore, the paper presents various schemes outlining different symptoms, their causes, and corresponding fault algorithms.

Sensor guided robots require, according to nonlinear characteristics of certain interaction processes between robot effector and object, appropriate robust control algorithms for the external sensory control loop. This paper deals with a fuzzy controller which bases on linguistic production rules. Following the pattern of the suboptimal control method its structure is available in a large field of applications. Simulations and real time experiments concerning the contour tracking problem show, compared with a conventional PD-controller, the high tracking quality of the controller.

Speed control system of surface permanent magnet synchronous motor (SPMSM) drives with field weakening is presented. The controlalgorithms for electromechanical coordinates are synthesized using the concept of inverse problems of dynamics. This concept allows obtaining robustalgorithms for controlling the components of the vector control system that are provided stability of dynamic characteristics in the conditions of changing the parameters of the control object in the proposed range. The quality of the automatic control system is evaluated using mathematical modeling. Effectiveness of the applied method control of electromechanical coordinates of electrical drive has confirmed research data.

One difficulty for this control problem is that the controlling object is always unstable and is affected by interferences. To solve this problem, the authors of the previous research offer use robustcontrol algorithm H-infinity. However, the two-wheeled mobile robot balancing controller under H-infinity robust control algorithms often has high order, complexity which will be significant when programming for controller and impact on quality in the process of factual control.
