This paper proposes an edge-type high-speed intelligent infrared pre-processor, including the pre-processing algorithm and the corresponding hardware architecture. At algorithm level, guided filtering method and neural network method are combined to propose a non-uniformity correction algorithm with stronger scene adaptability. By combining unsharpen mask and adaptive gray stretching algorithms, the processing effect of image details is effectively improved. At hardware level, this paper optimizes the above algorithm. The structure adopts modular pipeline design, which can realize dynamic switching between algorithms through control instructions, and can effectively meet the real-time pre-processing requirements of infrared images at edge end.

Depending on conventional finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) method, we develop a scale-compressed technique to implement the rapid calculation for capturing the reflection coefficients and transmission coefficients through multilayered structure under the plane wave. Based on the Maxwell’s curl equations and the corresponding constitutive relationship between the field flux (D, B) and field intensity (E, H), curl operator can be assembled as a transition matrix for different modes when using the transverse wave vectors. After the preliminary analysis, we incorporate and merge the incident field into the curl matrix to derive electric field and magnetic field updating equations with only one upward space variable through grid matching. The required field quantities for updating electromagnetic fields through multilayered media can be clearly demonstrated by combining those fields’ components in these algorithmic equations using matrix representation. Our proposed algorithm achieves one-dimensional (1-D) compression to solve higher-dimensional problems while determining reflection and transmission coefficients under the various transverse wave vectors. With comparison from commercial software COMSOL, we can validate its accuracy and feasibility. As a results, for the complex cases, the proposed algorithm holds more potential applications in exploring multi-layered models under the condition of preset conditions.

The method for reduction of magnetic field (MF) of uncertain unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) based on surrogate optimization of compensating magnetic dipoles (CMD) to compensate of spheroidal harmonics of external MF developed. Spatial arrangement coordinates and spherical harmonics (SH) magnitudes of CMD calculated as geometric inverse magneto statics problems (GIMSP) solution in nonlinear minimax optimization problem (NMMOP) form based on multyspheroidal MF model of UUV. Nonlinear objective function (NOF) calculated as resulting MF weighted squared sum by COMSOL Multiphysics software package used. NMMOP solutions calculated based on particle swarm nonlinear optimization (PSNO) algorithms. Possibility to reduce by almost 100 times of MF induction (MFI) modulus and horizontal component of uncertain UUV based on surrogate optimization of CMD spatial arrangement for compensate of spheroidal harmonics of external MF using multyspheroidal model of MF of UUV shown.

The review and evaluation of bad data detection and elimination methods in power system state estimation highlights the evolution from traditional techniques to modern, data-driven approaches. This research paper discusses various approaches to handling bad data, such as chi-square testing, residual-based methods, and Gaussian-based methods. These methods are either inaccurate, computationally inefficient, or complex. The Largest Normalized Residual (LNR) test, a widely used method for identifying faulty data in power system state estimation (PSSE), has proven effective for single and non-interacting multiple erroneous data. However, the LNR test becomes computationally inefficient in large-scale systems with significant bad data due to its sequential removal process. In this paper we have implemented a modified LNR test method. The idea behind the algorithm is to classify the suspect measurements into groups and simultaneously apply the LNR test to each group, thereby detecting multiple instances of bad data across different groups. MATLAB software have been used to implement algorithm for state estimation and bad data techniques on IEEE standard system and Indian real time system. SRLDC or other RLDCs involves large number of meters to measure energy flow at each interface points. Discrepancies in meter recordings (due to faults) and data validations involves manual intervention, leading to significant losses. The goal of this work is to provide an automated, robust state estimation and bad data technique specifically designed for Indian systems, beneficial for both research and industrial applications.

This paper is to introduce the development of autonomic docking for autonomous mobile robots (AMR) using behavior trees (BT) and gazebo simulation software in a ROS2 environment. The virtual robot in this study is capable of moving around and locating the charging station by using the camera to identify the ARTag on the map generated through simultaneous localization and mapping (SLAM) data. BT is used to develop an autonomous docking algorithm and compared three different scenarios through experiments with the AMR. In the experiments, the parameters were adjusted when the AMR was positioned 2 m away from the charging station along the x-axis, with no discrepancy along the y-axis. Additionally, the parameters were tweaked when there was a y-axis discrepancy of ± 0.25 m in cases 2 and 3. The results indicated that modifying the heading tolerance can reduce docking errors and improve the efficiency of the algorithm. Moreover, using BT to design algorithms can enhance functionality and simplify the system's operation.

This paper presents a software platform to support Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) within the context of 5G cellular networks, including the rationale for utilizing game engine to implement this platform and its main functions. It addresses three key scenarios: UAV trajectory planning to mitigate the impact of 5G handovers by improved A* algorithm, strategic site selection for Intelligent Reflecting Surfaces (IRS) by reverse ray tracing within urban 3D environments, and impact location determination of UAVs under unexpected conditions. These scenarios demonstrate the platform's effectiveness in tackling the multifaceted challenges of 5G-integrated UAV operations.

State of Charge (SoC) estimation is essential for battery-powered embedded systems. Recent studies show that the Extended Kalman Filter (EKF) with a second-order RC battery model offers a trade-off between computational complexity and estimation accuracy, making it suitable for resource-constrained platforms like embedded systems. This paper focuses on optimizing EKF implementation to minimize single-run execution time and resource usage by exploring techniques such as loop unrolling, function inlining, the lookup table method, and data access strategies. EKF implementations were tested on an STM32-based embedded platform, and their performance was evaluated based on execution time and memory footprint. Results show that function inlining, combined with a lookup table for polynomial calculations and loop unrolling for matrix operations, offer the best execution time. However, using for loops for matrix multiplication without function inlining results in the most efficient memory usage. Results presented in this paper provide a good groundwork for further improvements of battery SoC algorithms, aiming to enhance energy efficiency and extend overall system operation time.

The field of Android malware detection faces increasingly complex malicious applications and novel threats. To effectively identify and defend against these types of malware, this paper introduces a detection model that integrates Light Gradient Boosting Machine and Bagging technologies, alongside model-based feature selection using Random Forest. This approach transcends the limitations of traditional detection techniques, facilitating more precise processing and analysis of large-scale datasets. Experimental results demonstrate that the model achieved an accuracy of 95.45% and an F1 score of 95.46%. Such improvements in performance not only confirm the effectiveness of ensemble learning technologies but also open new avenues for future research in Android malware detection.

A recent increase in electrical energy generation from renewable sources poses significant challenges in continuously providing and maintaining efficient, reliable, high-quality power. Integrating energy storage systems (ESS) with renewable sources is a promising option. Integrating different ESSs, commonly known as hybrid energy storage systems (HESS), is an ongoing research that seeks to utilize their advantages. This paper discusses the collaboration of SPV array with HESS consisting of a battery energy storage system(BESS) and Solid Oxide Fuel Cell(SOFC) with their power electronic interfacing(PEI) and a DC bus as a test system. Additionally, it also presents an averaged linear small-signal model of a test system. The authors implemented two control algorithms in this paper using MATLAB/Simulink software.: 1) A fuzzy-based algorithm to track the SPV array maximum power point(MPP). 2) An outer voltage control loop to maintain DC bus voltage and an inner current control loop algorithm to regulate the HESS to meet the load requirement.

As energy demands continue to rise, the need for clean energy becomes imperative. Wind energy conversion systems (WECS) have emerged as a promising solution for electricity generation. Among the various types of wind turbines, the doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) stands out for its cost-effectiveness and variable speed capabilities. This paper examines the control mechanisms of DFIG-based wind turbines, specifically focusing on enhancing their fault ride-through capability. The study compares the performance of conventional PI controllers and nonlinear second-order sliding mode controllers in this context, with the latter being designed using the super-twisting algorithm. The system is modeled and simulated using PLECS software. The second-order sliding mode controller based on the super-twisting algorithm shows an improved performance compared to conventional PI controllers.
