Testing is an inevitable part of any software engineering process to ensure quality and reliability. Model-based testing is a successful approach for the automated generation of test cases but requires a model of the system under test. Constructing such models can take time and effort. Hence, there is even a need to automate model generation, where automata learning is a promising approach. In this paper, we address the application of automata learning for React web forms used in a wide range of web applications. We provide information regarding a tool we developed to couple web forms to automata learning for obtaining a model. In addition, we discuss the application of the tool, limitations, challenges, and solutions for reducing the state space and making the approach feasible for practical applications.

Refactoring a large and complex class can be challenging, not only because the class aggregates many different responsibilities but also because of its potentially extensive impact on external classes. Although many extract class methods have been proposed, few support a holistic decomposition that can uncover multiple distinct responsibilities within a complex class, along with their system-wide impacts. Recent research highlights the need for such a holistic view before an organization can commit to redesigning and refactoring. To identify distinct responsibilities while minimizing internal and external impacts, we created Deicide, a new decomposition algorithm that uses an internal call graph, external usage patterns, and semantic similarity of identifiers to calculate a hierarchical set of cohesive clusters, each forming a responsibility module. We evaluated Deicide against three state-of-the-art extract class recommenders using 123 large, change-prone classes from 9 open-source projects. Our results show that the entities within the clusters identified by Deicide are more likely to be changed together and changed by the same group of developers, indicating de facto cohesive responsibilities. The implication is that refactoring based on Deicide’s recommendations would have minimal impact on the system, and these newly extracted classes would be able to evolve independently.

In order to improve the efficiency of identifying the operation of computer interlocking host computer interface and promote the improvement of automation, combined with the display standards and requirements of the host computer interface, this paper proposes an image analysis method for the host computer interface based on Open CV. The method accurately extracts the coordinate information on the screen by quantifying the geometric features of various types of signal devices in the host computer interface. Through this process, it can realise the automatic identification, obtain the whole station's signal layout map from the image input, and make preparations for the subsequent automated test.

The increasing frequency and sophistication of cyberattacks necessitate a reevaluation of traditional password practices. This paper introduces DyMP-Gen (Dynamic Memorable Password Generation) Algorithm, a novel algorithm designed to enhance password security while prioritizing usability. DyMP-Gen allows users to generate strong, unique passwords that evolve over time, mitigating the risks associated with static, password reuse, and leaked passwords. By combining a user pre-selected static component with dynamically generated elements, a password based on current time and date is created. DyMP-Gen ensures that passwords are both memorable and resilient to cracking attempts. The algorithm’s simplicity and offline functionality further enhance its usability, eliminating the need for additional devices or software. Through its innovative approach, DyMP-Gen offers a promising solution to the pervasive challenges of password security.

The proposed Diet Recall is designed to provide an integrated solution for diet tracking, fitness management, and nutritional analysis through a user-friendly mobile platform. Modern lifestyles often lack consistency in healthy dietary practices, and this application serves as an accessible tool to bridge the gap between health intentions and actual actions. It enables users to monitor their food intake, analyze nutrient content, set and track fitness goals, and receive personalized meal and workout recommendations based on preferences and health conditions. The application follows a user-driven approach, leveraging key personal data such as age, weight, height, activity level, and dietary restrictions to estimate daily maintenance calories using the Harris-Benedict formula. The core recommendation engine employs K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) and content-based filtering to generate tailored diet and exercise plans. Data processing is efficiently handled using Pandas and NumPy, while Firebase powers the backend, and Flutter ensures a cross-platform experience. This work demonstrates the potential of AI-driven digital health solutions in fostering sustainable behavioral changes and long-term wellness.

With the rapid advancement of blockchain technology, a significant trend is the adoption of Directed Acyclic Graphs (DAGs) as an alternative to traditional chain-based architectures for organizing ledger records. Systems like IOTA, which are specially designed for the Internet of Things (Io'T), leverage DAG-based architectures to achieve greater scalability by enabling multiple attachment points in the ledger for new transactions while allowing these transactions to be added to the network without incurring any fees. To determine these attachment points, many tip selection algorithms commonly employ specific strategies on the DAG ledger. Transaction prioritization is not considered in the IOTA network, which becomes especially important when network bandwidth is limited. In this paper, we propose an optimization framework designed to integrate a priority level for critical or high-priority IoT transactions within the IOTA network. We evaluate our system using fully based on the official IOTA GitHub repository, which employs the currently operational IOTA node software (Hornet version), as part of the Chrysalis update (1.5). The experimental results show that higher-priority transactions in the proposed algorithm reach final confirmation in less time compared to the original IOTA system.

The design of on-board computer systems associates with a large number of calculations and the implementation of complex algorithms. Analytical and simulation models develop for this purpose. These models must take into account a significant number of factors, which include environmental influences, load fluctuations, and others. Queuing theory methods widely uses in modeling on-board computer systems. Queuing network models may be either open or closed. It becomes possible to take into account the network users operation technology when calculating the characteristics of this a model in the latter case. It is necessary to use special software or develop your own programs using algorithmic programming languages in any case. The processes taking place in on-board computer networks describes by the Erlang processes. software implementation of it has been has quite complicated for a long time. In 1974 Jagerman develops a fast algorithm that implemented Erlang formula however. This paper provides examples of models and programs that allow you calculate the characteristics of on-board computer systems with a complex structure of user dialogue based on the Jagerman algorithm and Brown method for solution of nonlinear equations.

Due to recent energy policies and increased rate of global warming, to curtail the impact of greenhouse gas emissions, a source like solar plays an important role in power generation but it is affected by irradiance, temperature (which changes due to changing atmospheric conditions) and load. As PV array has a unique point depending on both temperature and irradiation, where the generation of power, is maximum, an optimum algorithm is necessary to implement. To get optimal power under all possible conditions, the maximum power point (MPP) must be accurately tracked. In this proposed work, the performance of Perturb & Observe (P&O) algorithm is analyzed. Depending on local geographical location, the simulation parameters of proposed model are taken. Here, different types of protection schemes incorporated with relay system are provided in the power system network. The primary aim of these schemes is to detect faults in the network and to isolate the faulted part from the remaining healthy system. The protective relays continuously monitor the power system and operate when any quantities deviate from their normal levels. In this work, the impedance type relay is considered for the test model for detection of faults and the protection of the system. The results of proposed system are analyzed and verified using MATLAB/Simulink software. It is found that the proposed scheme works effectively under all adverse situations like fault, irradiance etc.
