Since electricity produces energy quickly, it is an essential part of our daily lives. However, due to worries over greenhouse gas emissions and environmental difficulties, alternative energy sources like solar power systems are becoming more and more popular. This study aims to construct and simulate a 24KW grid-tied solar energy system on the VSSUT campus in Burla, Sambalpur, India, using a fixed tilt strategy developed by the PV-SYST7.3 program and MAT LAB 2022b. The systems are affordable, maintenance-free, and capable of supporting peak grid loads at any time of day. To confirm the acceptability of these programs, the end results for data will be compared between both types of software. The MATLAB/Simulink program has been shown to be more sensitive to temperature changes than the PV syst software, and factors like varied MPPT algorithms and human or automatic data entry contribute to the discrepancy.

software Fault Forecasting (SFF) identifies faults earlier in the software advancement procedure. However, it is vital to address the issue of high dimensionality to achieve an effective fault forecasting model. Feature selection (FS) is an effective technique to identify the best features from a dataset. This study proposes an innovative FS approach, referred to as POAFS rooted on the Puffer-fish Optimization Algorithm (POA) to extract the best traits from a software dataset. POAFS draws inspiration from the puffer-fish’s defense strategy from the predator’s attack. The proposed POAFS approach was examined on five public NASA datasets using a four-supervised learning classifier, namely Naive Bayes, Support Vector Machine, K-nearest neighbour, and Decision Tree. The investigatory findings revealed that the prospective POAFS proposal substantially enhanced the veracity of the fault forecasting model besides achieving the superior features.

Quantum software is essential for fully harnessing the capabilities of quantum computing systems. Consequently, it has been garnering growing interest in recent times. This document provides a precise definition of the concept of “quantum software engineering” and presents a comprehensive framework for the life cycle of quantum software. Given the interdisciplinary nature of quantum computing, it is essential to establish a shared understanding of the process for developing and implementing a quantum software application. At present, there isn't a complete methodology or lifecycle that covers every significant stage that could come up along the process of development and execution. That's why we provide the quantum software lifecycle in this document. With this paradigm, practitioners, developers, and scholars have a clear path forward for quantum computing. The provision of a methodical development roadmap for quantum- principles-based software encourages creativity in this quickly expanding subject.

As Artificial Intelligence is being deployed more and more on edge devices, i.e. embedded systems, this begs the question: can these algorithms deal with the (transient) hardware errors known to happen on these devices? This demo answers this question by performing fault injection on an auto-encoder algorithm executing on a typical edge device. We demonstrate that these types of algorithms are still susceptible to the effects of transient hardware errors but that traditional software-implemented fault tolerance techniques remain effective in helping them mitigate their impact.

This survey paper examines the evolution of effort and cost estimation methodologies in Agile software development, with a focus on Serum-based projects. Traditional techniques such as Story Points and Function Points are evaluated against modern approaches that integrate machine learning (ML), fuzzy logic, and optimization algorithms. The paper synthesizes findings from various studies, including those by Arora et al. (2018), Owais and Ramakishore (2016), and Dave et al. (2021), to assess the effectiveness of these methods in improving estimation accuracy. It also considers the influence of human factors, team dynamics, and customer involvement on project success, as highlighted by Tam et al. (2020) and Meckenstock (2024). The survey identifies a trend towards data-driven estimation models, as confirmed by Fernandez-Diego et al. (2020), and suggests that future research should explore hybrid ML models and deep learning algorithms to further refine software Cost Estimation (SCE) processes. The paper contributes to the literature by providing a comprehensive overview of the current state of Agile estimation practices and by outlining directions for future research to enhance the precision and applicability of these techniques. This abstract encapsulates the essence of the survey, summa- rizing the research question, the approach taken, the key findings, and the significance of the work within the field of Agile software development.

Ultrasound imaging techniques employing induced particle displacement or particle velocity have several biomedical applications due to their capacity to estimate the mechanical properties of tissues. These methods are valuable, for example, in shear wave elastography and magnetomotive ultrasound. Important steps include estimating particle displacement maps, filtering, and post-processing to accurately estimate stiffness in elastography-based techniques, analyze the behavior of magnetic nanoparticles in magnetomotive ultrasound, and estimate viscoelastic parameters of materials. In this paper, a software platform designed for processing ultrasound data, estimating displacement maps, and analyzing shear wave group and phase velocity are described. It comprises some of the most used algorithms available in the literature for processing ultrasound radiofrequency data. The platform's features were described, and examples of its applications in acoustic radiation force and magnetomotive ultrasound were demonstrated.

Direction of Arrival (DOA) estimation is an important fundamental problem in wireless signal processing. The current research on DOA estimation is mainly carried out in the MATLAB software simulation environment, but there is a large difference between the pure software simulation and the actual results. In order to better study the practical application, this paper uses two Universal software Radio Peripheral (USRP) as the hardware base, and combines the Simulink software platform to realize the ratio amplitude algorithm direction measurement. In the paper, the reasons and solutions for amplitude calibration as well as data synchronization in the system are firstly described, then the formula of the amplitude ratio algorithm is fitted by the measured data, and finally the DOA estimation system is implemented and tested by USRP and Simulink. The experimental results show that the system is capable of accomplishing the DOA estimation function, which provides a convenient and reliable experience for source angle estimation as well as signal processing researchers.

Ethical concerns about software applications, e.g., worries about privacy breaches, user manipulation, and discrimination, have gained prominence recently. Research shows that users voice these concerns in app reviews and that they can be detected using machine learning and deep learning techniques. These techniques usually operate as black-boxes, making it difficult to understand the context of users' ethical concerns. We address this issue by presenting a transparent approach that uses pattern mining and graph theory to yield additional context to the ethical concern classifications made by machine learning algorithms. We compare a simple frequent pattern mining and a high-utility mining algorithm and assess the resulting rules through commonly used metrics. Finally, we visualize and interpret preliminary results in an interactive graph. We mined 3,101 reviews of ten popular apps mentioning diverse ethical concerns and present the results for two apps in detail. Our results show that pattern mining algorithms and graph visualizations are promising directions for detecting contextual information of ethical concerns about software. This work is a step toward ensuring that ethical concerns are methodically thought through and integrated into the software development life cycle.

software Engineering is a discipline that aims to deliver quality software products. To this end, several development methodologies have been proposed, with agile methodologies being the most recently used, which promote the continuous delivery of functional software in short cycles called iterations or sprints. In these deliveries, there are activities where the identification of patterns in different software arti-facts is necessary. An example of this is the detection of similar artifacts to avoid redundancy or reuse artifacts. This study presents a systematic review of the literature that seeks to analyze the activities, development stages, benefits, and challenges that have been reported when applying various cluster analysis algorithms to identify patterns in agile methodologies. Fifteen primary studies selected through the Kitchenham methodology were analyzed. It was observed that k-means, k-medoids, and hierarchical clustering are the most used approaches in various stages of development such as requirements, design, and testing. Furthermore, the most analyzed artifacts were user stories. Finally, the studies reveal various advantages, such as pattern identification without a priori knowledge, variance reduction, and development time reduction, among others. However, the parameterization of these algorithms is still a fundamental challenge to be addressed in future work.
