In 1957 J. von Neumann introduced the Primary Language when he suggested that the languages we use are just external languages while the Primary Language is the only internal language of the human brain. Due to its age this cannot be symbolic. Instead, this must be a system of hybrid and mostly analog algorithms embedded in the human brain. This paper reports results of research on two possible components of the Primary Language, Linguistic Geometry (LG) and the Algorithm of Discovery. LG is a type of game theory for a class of extensive discrete games called Abstract Board Games (ABG), scalable to the level of real life defense systems. LG is an evolutionary product of millions of years of human warfare. It appears that LG is a formal model of human reasoning about armed conflict, a mental reality “hard-wired” in the human brain. Experiences of development of LG were utilized for solving major puzzle, discovering the Algorithm of Discovery, which must be another ancient component of the Primary Language. The major emphasis of his paper is on the results of investigation of the mental processes called visual streams that manifest execution of this algorithm. It reveals the various types of visual streams, the way of focusing those streams and constructing new streams. It particular it reveals the relationship of visual streams and mathematical proofs.

Construction of an ontological metamodel of iterative algorithms is proposed to structure knowledge about these algorithms and their implementation. The metamodel will automate the design and use of specialized software for solving specific applied modeling problems. The advantage of iterative GMDH algorithms over combinatorial ones is that they allow the big datasets processing. The known generalized iterative algorithm, allows you to create typical architectures of previously developed modifications of these algorithms when setting up various modes of operation of this algorithm. The authors have developed an ontological metamodel of iterative GMDH algorithms using the Protégé environment.

This paper looks at two new bus arbitration algorithms for use in multi-processor and multi-core systems, where different processors must share the same bus to access main memory. These algorithms try to improve upon existing algorithms in terms of latency caused by contention among the processors. Both the algorithms take into account characteristics of arbitration which are normally ignored, or given less importance to. The Request-Service bus arbitration algorithm attempts to remove all forms of starvation among the competing processors. Arbitration takes place in two stages: the Request stage, where all requests from processors are latched onto the bus, and the Service stage, where all these requests are served. This algorithm works well under conditions of light load. The age-based bus arbitration algorithm gives more priority to processors that have recently acquired the bus, thus leading to greater throughput. To control starvation, this scheme is used only as long as there are few processors with active requests. This algorithm is suitable in cases where processors have to transfer large blocks of data.

This paper presents an advanced approach to address the divergence issue encountered in the Newton-Raphson and Gauss-Seidel methods for radial system load flow calculations, while preserving their precision. The proposed method achieves this by enhancing the precision of the Backward/Forward Sweep (BFS) load flow algorithm tailored for radial distribution systems. The focus lies on enhancing calculation accuracy within power distribution networks in accordance with IEEE standards for the voltage calculation, while also considering various receiver types such as motor and non-motor loads. The algorithm's efficacy is validated through development and testing on the IEEE 33-bus system using the MATLAB platform. Comparative analysis with results generated by ETAP software for the Newton-Raphson and Gauss-Seidel methods, as well as the standard BFS method, underscores the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

This paper presents a new FPGA design of a task scheduler that supports not only aperiodic hard real-time tasks but periodic tasks too. Whenever a period of a periodic task is elapsed, the task is automatically restarted with no need of software intervention. The proposed scheduler is using Earliest Deadline First (EDF) algorithm. For inter-task synchronisation, the scheduler also supports temporary suspension of tasks with automatic resumption of tasks after the specified time elapsed. The proposed architecture is based on priority queues used for time management and decision-making processes. Thanks to FPGA implementation of the scheduler and its priority queues, the scheduler operations are always performed in two clock cycles regardless of the current number of tasks and regardless of the maximum possible number of tasks in the system. The paper contains results obtained by FPGA synthesis done for various parameters using Intel FPGA Cyclone V device. The proposed solution was verified using simplified version of Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) and applying millions of test instructions with randomly generated deadline and period values.

The paper is devoted to the development of heatmaps for analyzing user behavior on dynamic websites of catering establishments (Internet cafés, online restaurants, etc.) available via wireless remote access. The multiagent approach to organizing the communication within a catering establishment wireless network is offered. Method adapting heatmaps for web-applications based on point data on clients' activity is proposed. algorithms and software have been developed to present information about user's actions on dynamic websites most understandably and simply by the binding of the data with structural elements of the above-mentioned websites. The activity of Internet cafe users based on the constructed heatmaps has been analyzed.

At present, direct installation or running programs on the cloud platform cannot balance real-time and convenient maintenance requirements of manufacturing companies. Therefore, this paper proposes an edge cloud manufacturing service platform and an optimization model for edge resource allocation. Finally, a large-scale manufacturing digital twin system case is realized on a multi-node virtual machine cluster, which shows that the method can effectively realize the remote deployment and long-term maintenance of edge cloud manufacturing services.

This paper proposes a method for generating OpenSCENARIO1.0 files based on accident data (PCM) exported from PC-CRASH traffic accident reconstruction software. This method analyzes PCM raw data, integrates and processes data from different files such as dynamics data, traffic participant data, and weather data based on simulation time, extracts traffic participants and their motion data based on these data and algorithms, and then combines these data into XOSC files based on XSD(XML Schema Definition) files. Finally, to ensure the accuracy of the generated scenarios, strict validation testing was conducted in the VTD simulation environment.

A new algorithm of image edge detecting was proposed, which was based on otsu method and the set's approximation of rough set theory. Firstly, the global threshold of image segmenting was selected through otsu technique for this algorithm. Then there was a 3*3 pixels window, according to the attributes of the relations between threshold and window pixels' grey levels to build decision table. It could deduce the upper approximation and the lower approximation of image edge sets. And at last, the edge image was obtained using the difference between the two approximation sets. The experimental result shows that the method can successfully preserve the image edge details, make the edge image meticulous and vivid, and have powerful ability in its resistance against noise pollution and better continuity and closure.

The type of the workload is one of the key factors on database management system (DBMS) tuning. Different types of workload (OLTP, online transaction processing and OLAP, online analytical processing) mean different resource allocation strategies. In this paper, we present an approach to automatically identify a DBMS workload as either OLTP or OLAP. We use C5.0 algorithm to construct a set of classifiers based on the characteristics that differentiate OLTP and OLAP and then use the classifier to identify the workload type. The experiments show that the classifiers can be able to accurately identify the OLTP and OLAP workloads.
