The swift development of Artificial Intelligence (AI), namely the introduction of Large Language Models (LLMs), is drastically altering various industries and necessitating a major change in the way software engineering is taught. To equip upcoming software engineers with the knowledge and abilities to function in this AI-powered environment, curriculum and pedagogical techniques must be critically reevaluated. To better understand the integration of AI and LLMs into software engineering education, this study gives a thorough and critical analysis of the literature, looking at existing models, pedagogical frameworks, and enduring issues. We explore various approaches utilized by educational establishments, including as specialized AI and LLM courses, incorporating modules into pre-existing curricula, and utilizing open-source LLM materials. Our analysis, which is based on case studies and research data, thoroughly assesses how well these strategies enable software engineers to comprehend, make use of, and ethically create AI and LLMs. Key obstacles to the successful integration of AI and LLM are also identified by our analysis, including the inexperienced status of LLM educators, resource limitations, potential biases in AI and LLM algorithms, and insufficient instructor knowledge. Building on these discoveries, we provide solid answers to these problems and suggest interesting avenues for further study to improve the integration of AI and LLM. In the end, this study advocates for a multimodal strategy to get future software engineers ready for the impending AI and LLM future and secure their place in this quickly changing field.

software Defect Prediction (SDP) plays an essential role in ensuring software quality and minimizing the costs associated with software failures. Conventional defect prediction approaches often focus on a singular means of defect assessment, neglecting the complex nature of the problem. This paper introduces a hybrid Perm-Boost model for SDP, using strengths of permutation importance and the XGBoost algorithm for root cause analysis (RCA). Evaluated on real-world datasets from NASA-MDP and AEEEM repositories, Perm-Boost outperformed traditional methods, achieving F-m scores of $99.01,99.19$ , and 79.91 on CM1, PC2, and $EQ$ datasets, respectively. It demonstrated high precision $(98.00\%$ for $\text{CM}1,98.18\%$ for PC 2) and recall $(97.01\%$ for CM1, $99.00\%$ for PC2), surpassing conventional approaches. Additionally, the incorporation of permutation importance facilitated the clarification of the interconnection between software defects and their root causes. This insight enables developers to prioritize tasks based on the severity of identified issues. This paper contributes a hybrid Perm-Boost model for SDP, an in-depth RCA utilizing influential features, a comprehensive case evaluation demonstrating superiority over alternative techniques, and practical guidance for implementing this approach in software projects.

It is necessary to further improve the performance of inter provincial medium and long-term trading software to support market development. This article mainly studies how to improve the performance of inter provincial medium and long-term transaction clearing from two aspects: high-performance data exchange technology of trading software and parallel computing of clearing algorithms with multiple optimization engines, ultimately achieving the desired acceleration effect.

Discovering and fixing potential defects in the software before it is put into use can ensure the reliability of the software. software defect prediction technology enables the early detection and identification of software defects, thereby offering valuable insights for software testers to allocate their testing resources in a rational manner. This technology can enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process. However, the excessive dimension of features within software datasets poses a challenge, limiting both the efficiency and effectiveness of software defect prediction models. Thus, reducing the dimension of software datasets by eliminating irrelevant and redundant features that are not critical for defect prediction is of great significance in improving the performance of software defect prediction model. Comparative experiment has been implemented to evaluate and contrast the comprehensive application performance of seven classical feature selection algorithms when applied to diverse software datasets. This study introduces the principal component and proposes an improved algorithm C-SU (Correlation-Symmetric Uncertainty) based on Correlation Feature Selection and Symmetric Uncertainty. Due to its high stability, Random Forest is chosen as the classifier to establish the framework for the defect prediction model. To verify the validity of introduced method, it was in comparison to basic methods on datasets from eight open-source projects. The proposed feature selection method showcases superiority over other algorithms, as evidenced by the F1 score during model evaluation.

As a key medium to eliminate language barriers and enhance international understanding, English translation software plays an important role in the rapid and accurate circulation of information. This article aims to explore the application of deep learning and natural language processing technology in the optimization of English translation software, and proposes an innovative automatic assessment and optimization algorithm. Traditional optimization methods of translation software are limited by manual features and rules, and it is difficult to adapt to complex and changeable translation needs. Therefore, this study combines the powerful feature learning ability of deep learning with the deep understanding of language structure by natural language processing, and designs a novel algorithm. By automatically extracting useful features from the bilingual corpus and learning the complex mapping relationship between the source language and the target language, the algorithm has significantly improved the translation quality. The results show that, compared with traditional methods, the method proposed in this article is excellent in reducing word error rate and improving translation fluency, which provides a new direction for the development of machine translation.

In this paper, a new type of production line inspection system is constructed by combining cloud computing platform with electromechanical automation control software. The system can realize remote data acquisition, real-time monitoring, and intelligent decision-making, and effectively improve the automation level and inspection efficiency of the production line. In the aspect of algorithm design, this paper introduces the fuzzy PID control algorithm. Compared with the traditional PID algorithm, the simulation results show that the fuzzy PID algorithm has significant advantages in dealing with nonlinear, uncertain, and time-varying problems, and can better adapt to the complex conditions of production line detection. In addition, in order to realize the efficient communication and data transmission of the production line detection system, a special communication module is designed in this paper, which supports a variety of communication protocols and can ensure the stable connection between the system and the sensors, actuators and other devices. Through simulation verification, the communication module can still maintain the integrity and real-time data under high load and complex network environment, which provides reliable technical support for production line detection.

The traditional on-board software architecture lacks adaptability and scalability, with a high degree of customization, significant software-hardware coupling, and slow technological evolution. To enhance utilization efficiency and intelligent application capabilities of satellite, this paper proposes an application-oriented on-board software management system for micro-nano satellite. By analyzing the research status and technical characteristics of traditional software architectures, an open software management system based on Linux is implemented, including key components and functions. In line with the system’s operational mode, we propose a method for on-board software dynamic refactoring. Furthermore, we validate the effectiveness of the software management system by a remote sensing image processing algorithm, which has a wide application prospect.

Traditional software Reliability Growth Models (SRGMs) depend on unrealistic assumptions, which makes it difficult to capture the complexities of modern software development. Recent advancements in artificial intelligence have introduced new modeling techniques, but these methods are complex and require careful algorithm selection and hyperparameter tuning. Automated Machine Learning (AutoML) has emerged as a promising solution to streamline this process. However, its application in the field of software reliability growth modeling remains unexplored. In this study, we explore the effectiveness of AutoML in enhancing software reliability growth modeling and compare its performance with traditional SRGMs. We employ two prominent AutoML packages, Auto-sklearn and H2O AutoML, and leverage twelve project datasets to answer three research questions: (1) the impact of various AutoML package options on software reliability growth modeling, (2) the identification of the optimal AutoML approach for modeling software reliability growth, and (3) the overall effectiveness of AutoML in software reliability growth modeling. We found that using ensemble options enhanced predictive performance across multiple projects. Auto-sklearn with the ensemble option emerged as the most effective approach when evaluated based on End-point Prediction values, while H2O AutoML with the ensemble option demonstrated superior performance based on Mean Squared Error values. Additionally, AutoML packages with ensemble options demonstrated more accurate predictive performance compared to traditional SRGMs across the majority of datasets. Our study highlights the potential of AutoML to enhance software reliability growth modeling and provides insights for future research and practical applications in software engineering.

This paper presents a software stack named setcmas, for Simulation and Experiments in Teaching Control of Multi-Agent Systems. It aims at facilitating simulations and experiments for teachers and students involved in Control Engineering curricula. The stack is available online and can be used freely for Control Education purposes. It leverages the advantages of ROS, the robot operating system, without requiring any knowledge of it to be used. Control algorithms for multi-agent systems can be implemented in simple Python scripts, and then simulated and validated through experiments with ground mobile robots. The paper presents the content of the stack, the possible architecture used for experiments, and some usages already made for teaching, demonstration, and research work.

In this paper, we analyze the conformance testing results for the 5G NR PUSCH modem. The proposed software-based modem offers the functional split of the sub-parts of modem of PUSCH processing: UL-SCH encoding, modulation, scrambling, de-scrambling, channel estimation, equalization, log-likelihood ratio (LLR) demodulation, and UL-SCH decoding. Based on the conformance test requirements provided in 3GPP TS 38.104, we show that the minimum requirements are satisfied and suggest optimization algorithms that enables further performance enhancements.
