CAgen is a state-of-the-art combinatorial test generation tool that is known for its execution speed. In addition, it supports an extensive list of features such as constraint handling, higher-index arrays, and import and export of models/test sets in various different formats. It is based on the FIPO algorithm, which can be considered an improved version of the widely used In-Parameter-Order strategy. In order to further speed up CAgen, this work first discusses how multithreading can be effectively used to optimally utilize available resources, particularly for large instances. We evaluate three different multithreaded variations of the horizontal extension and use the obtained insights to design the mFIPOG algorithm. In addition, we adopt methods that have previously been utilized to speed up constraint handling of CSP solvers in IPO algorithms into a forbidden tuple approach. In order to evaluate the performance of the improved tool, we provide results of benchmarks on the instances offered by the CT competition of IWCT 2022.

Design and Performance Analysis for Indoor Visible Light Positioning With Single LED and Single-Tilted-Rotatable PD

In recent years, single-LED-based visible light positioning (VLP) systems have been developed because of their low complexity, simple configuration, and feasibility for indoor application scenarios. In this article, first, we describe the system model of the single-tilted-rotatable-photodetector (STRP)-based receiver in single-LED scenario considering the first-order reflection signal. Then, we derive the Cramer-Rao lower bound (CRLB) of the positioning error for the received signal strength (RSS)-based positioning system using the discussed model and select proper inclination and rotation angles according to the derived CRLB. In addition, we analyze the least-square (LS) positioning method and propose an improved gray wolf optimization (IGWO)-based localization algorithm with the assistance of the LS method. Finally, the proposed LS-IGWO positioning algorithm has been evaluated in terms of accuracy and latency via software simulations and field tests. Simulation and experiment results show that using the RSS-based positioning model, the proposed LS-IGWO algorithm can achieve centimeter-level positioning accuracy and performs best compared with the original LS, the original GWO, single IGWO, pure LS-GWO, and the existing fingerprint method.

The security risks are increasing due to software flaws. The vulnerability dataset used in this design had taken from the cve web site. Additionally, the updated error description is matched as input, cross-referenced with the dataset and if a match is found, the error order is set up. It is now possible to manage software vulnerability using an automatic bracket system, and the system’s security performance will also improve. It will also reduce the chance of system damage and attack. In this design, a brand-new model called the automatic vulnerability bracket model built on bracket algorithms for Convolutional Neural Networks has been put out. 900 neuron input layers, 16 retired layers, and 27 affair neurons are used to build the model. Age range is adjusted, and it is delicate.

Verification and Validation (V&V) of Safety Critical software such as that of Flight Control Computer is an effort intensive and critical task. Accordingly standards like DO-178C lay much importance on the V&V aspects of the airborne software. Generation of typical and relevant test vectors over short sequences of time, calculating the expected outputs on a frame-by-frame basis and thus confirming the behavior of the software are daunting tasks. This paper brings out a Model Based Test (MBT) Framework to accelerate the functional testing. The Framework leverages the fact that, key and functional aspects of flight control such as Control Laws including advanced features such as Auto pilot are modeled and validated through simulation studies before generating software requirements. The Framework provides GUI based utilities to generate test vectors involving several external inputs over time durations such as 10 seconds covering multiple requirements. Such vectors are converted in to frame-by-frame test matrix which is fed to both the model and the program under test. The outputs of the model and program are automatically compared and differences beyond threshold are flagged for examination. The Framework additionally generates structural coverage reports both at the model and code levels which are the means to figure out that not only 100% MC/DC for the code is achieved but also there are no missing requirements. These coverage reports provide confidence and certification credits.

software reusability is critical to the rapid development and certification of autonomous vehicles (AVs). However, little attention has been given to designing AV path planners for increased software reusability. In this paper we design a trajectory-optimizing nonlinear MPC planner that takes a driveable corridor, desired speed profile and constraints as input to compute the AV's trajectory. These inputs are hardware-independent, confining hardware dependencies to the planner software itself and clearly separating higher-level route planning from hardware-dependent algorithms. We implement the planner in simulation to demonstrate its feasibility in representing common traffic scenarios.

The development of autonomous vehicles for urban driving is widely considered as a challenging task as it requires intensive interdisciplinary expertise. The present article presents an overview of the research project OPA3 L (Optimally Assisted, Highly Automated, Autonomous and Cooperative Vehicle Navigation and Localization). It highlights the hardware and software architecture as well as the developed methods. This comprises algorithms for localization, perception, high- and low-level decision making and path planning, as well as model predictive control. The research project contributes a cross-platform holistic approach applicable for a wide range of real-world scenarios. The developed framework is implemented and tested on a real research vehicle, miniature vehicles, and a simulation system.

The neural networks on 3D data and applications have emerged in the past five years. However, there are only a few dedicated hardware designs were proposed for 3D data and algorithms. Meanwhile, they lack flexibility and adaptation for the fast evolvement of software algorithms. We propose a heterogeneous accelerator design on Xilinx Zynq and Zynq UltraScale+ platform. An innovative vector pipeline is designed in the accelerator that can reach the near limitation of BRAM frequency, and it gives the final design frequency closure at 550MHz with 100% DSP usage.

PCI-e connected peripheral devices are prevalent in distributed embedded systems. Peripheral devices, such as a GPU connected to a host CPU via PCIe hardware brings massive performance gains for artificial intelligence applications. However, sharing the network hardware resources bring security challenges. The literature shows that timing side-channel attacks on shared PCI-e hardware leak security critical information and covert communication. These attacks are mitigated with performance implications at the algorithm, system, and hardware levels. This paper uses information theory concept of differential signaling and demonstrates that noise injection (a system-level mitigation scheme) is inadequate for practical purposes, and software or hardware level mitigation is required. Oblivious algorithm (at software level) and time-division multiplexing (TDM at hardware level) mitigations strategies are evaluated using a machine learning workload. Our evaluation shows that at varying level of load at the PCI-e, the oblivious algorithms always perform worse than hardware-based TDM.

Service technicians servicing machines in small- and medium- sized enterprises face the challenge to diagnose machines with increasing complexity in less time. To help them cope with the task of diagnosis (i.e. finding faults) this article introduces a novel fault diagnosis algorithm, and a web-based implementation for industrial fault diagnosis. When a fault occurs the algorithm proposes observations for the service technicians and generates likely causes according to the observations taken. This helps technicians to find faults faster, facilitates management of expert knowledge, and ultimately decreases system downtime. We have evaluated our approach with a Monte Carlo simulation of an industrial packaging machine and through the implementation of some prototype software. Both evaluations show that our approach is usable for real-world service technicians and operators of production machinery.

The field of human motion enhancement is a rapidly expanding field of study in which depth-based motion capture (D-Mocap) is improved to generate a more accurate counterpart for demanding high precision real-world applications. The D-Mocap that is initially generated relies on commercially available SDKs or open source tools to produce the initial skeletal sequence which works best in an ideal front-facing camera setup. This in turn creates a challenging initialization for human motion enhancement when the camera is not positioned in the ideal forward facing position. Currently there are no multiview D-Mocap datasets which have corresponding time-synced and skeleton-matched optical motion capture (Mocap) reference data for view-invariant motion enhancement. We develop a multiview D-Mocap dataset extended from the popular and comprehensive Berkeley MHAD dataset [29]. In addition, we analyze the performance of the D-Mocap data generated through a series of open source tools, highlighting the difficulty and the need to produce robust results in a rear-facing camera setup due to a 21.4% increase in average joint position error over front-facing data. Finally, we analyze the results of some recent human motion enhancement algorithms with regard to a front-facing camera setup versus a rear-facing one.
