In older times, people used to have their health problems diagnosed by the doctor. The doctor would prescribe him/her the required commodities and send them home. The charges include visiting charges and the medicine charges and such costs would be affordable for the upper and middle class. However, the real problem lies with the poor people who are not able to pay or travel to cities to have a proper diagnosis. Thus, it was decided to solve this by developing the solution that is built itself in the portable software and once afforded would not need to be paid for it ever again. This is the approach to find out a way to detect glaucoma and cataract at an early stage to provide necessary treatment at earliest using MATLAB. The main algorithms used are the SVM classifier and RBFN network. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper, we will examine how to increase the energy efficiency of routing methods for underwater wireless sensor networks in this study. Water resources capture a vast amount of data that can subsequently be used to protect human life and marine life. Underwater wireless sensor networks are designed with a base station near the seashore, sink nodes that function as receiver nodes, and source nodes that serve as anchor nodes. Anchor collects data transmitted to sink nodes in between occurrences of delay, frequency band, time consumption, and routing communication methods are reduced is a most important one. If the energy absorption of sensor nodes is not reduced means that the battery easily discharges here underwater wireless sensor network battery replacement is difficult. We are going to concentrate on energy-saving techniques. Some energy-saving protocols are available, but they only compare two techniques: the Bilevel-Litechenbery algorithm and the ant-colony algorithm on common parameters including throughput, energy consumption, and packet delivery ratio. Each algorithm does have some advantages and drawbacks. Which one is more valid and reliable, durability algorithms are favored for these networks analysis using Ns2 Aquasim software. © 2022 IEEE.

Next-generation sequencing motivates the research of FPGA acceleration for genome sequencing algorithms. Read alignment is a time-consuming step in genome sequencing analysis. The most widely used software for read alignment, BWA-MEM, is based on the seed-and-extend paradigm. The seeding step, BWA-SMEM, is a major bottleneck, contributing 40% to the overall execution time of BWA-MEM2, the fastest available implementation of BWA-MEM, when aligning whole human genome reads from the Platinum Genomes dataset. But its FPGA acceleration has not been well studied, because the fundamental challenge of accelerating the SMEM algorithm is to handle its large volume of random memory accesses. The development of FPGA platform with multiple memory channels motivates the BWA-SMEM seeding FPGA accelerator. However, the state-of-the-art SMEM accelerator either replies on some specific FPGA platform, which is specific and unfit for common FPGA platforms, or is designed based on a new algorithm equivalent to BWA-SMEM. Therefore, we propose an efficient memory access-aware BWA-SMEM seeding accelerator, aiming at common FPGA platform with multiple memory channels. We compress the SMEM data first and interleave it to multiple FPGA memory channels. Our accelerator adopts several memory access-aware optimizations to exploit the localities supplied by our data organization. We implement the accelerator based on a common FPGA platform with a Xilinx FPGA chip. Experiments on the FPGA platform show that, compared with the optimized software, run on a workstation with 16-thread Xeon CPU, our accelerator gains from 2.19 to 2.32 speedups. Soft cycle-accurate simulation shows our memory access optimizations make great contributions to the performance. Furthermore, our accelerator has good portability and expansibility. © 2021 IEEE.

Recent research has shown that Deep Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) are extremely accurate in a big range of cognitive tasks. This has piqued the interest of researchers. FPGAs are regarded as an attractive platform for hardware acceleration of CNNs due to their performance, flexibility, and energy efficiency. To improve the performance of CNNs, numerous accelerators have been employed, including ASICs, FPGAs, and graphics processors (GPUs). The use of FPGAs to accelerate deep learning networks is primarily driven by their high power efficiency and their ability to maximize parallelism. To provide comparisons and differences regarding the various techniques used to implement and optimize CNN algorithms on FPGA, the works were categorized into categories. Recent advances in deep learning networks using FPGA-based accelerators are described in this paper. This review should guide future advances in hardware acceleration and make deep learning research more efficient. © 2022 IEEE.

The connectivity process relies on radio links. It has been introduced to overcome the defects of wired communication. The demand on Wireless Applications increases, which leads to a limited spectrum utilization. Due to heavy mobile usage services, the whole spectrumhas been assigned only for licensed users (PU). The complete band remains unexploited by the principal users (PU). To overcome this issue, Cognitive Radio Networks (CRN) has been introduced. It has the ability to communicate with multiple users at a time by reusing the unused spectrum by its functions named as Handover and Range Sensing, which empowers us to examine for the fallow free ensembles and apply it. Handover procedure for CRN results in increasing throughput of unlicensed users. Our objective is to achieve the hand over procedure which consists of Threshold Optimization based on cumulative sum (CUSUM) algorithm using MATLAB software for further practical implementation. © 2022 IEEE.

Synergizing Domain Expertise With Self-Awareness in software Systems: A Patternized Architecture Guideline

To promote engineering self-aware and self-adaptive software systems in a reusable manner, architectural patterns and the related methodology provide an unified solution to handle the recurring problems in the engineering process. However, in existing patterns and methods, domain knowledge and engineers' expertise that is built over time are not explicitly linked to the self-aware processes. This link is important, as knowledge is a valuable asset for the related problems and its absence would cause unnecessary overhead, possibly misleading results, and unwise waste of the tremendous benefits that could have been brought by the domain expertise. This article highlights the importance of synergizing domain expertise and the self-awareness to enable better self-adaptation in software systems, relying on well-defined expertise representation, algorithms, and techniques. In particular, we present a holistic framework of notions, enriched patterns and methodology, dubbed DBASES, that offers a principled guideline for the engineers to perform difficulty and benefit analysis on possible synergies, in an attempt to keep "engineers-in-the-loop." Through three tutorial case studies, we demonstrate how DBASES can be applied in different domains, within which a carefully selected set of candidates with different synergies can be used for quantitative investigation, providing more informed decisions of the design choices.

Modern software applications are adapted to different situations (e.g., memory limits, enabling/disabling features, database credentials) by changing the values of configuration options, without any source code modifications. According to several studies, this flexibility is expensive as configuration failures represent one of the most common types of software failures. They are also hard to debug and resolve as they require a lot of effort to detect which options are misconfigured among a large number of configuration options and values, while comprehension of the code also is hampered by sprinkling conditional checks of the values of configuration options. Although researchers have proposed various approaches to help debug or prevent configuration failures, especially from the end users' perspective, this paper takes a step back to understand the process required by practitioners to engineer the run-time configuration options in their source code, the challenges they experience as well as best practices that they have or could adopt. By interviewing 14 software engineering experts, followed by a large survey on 229 Java software engineers, we identified 9 major activities related to configuration engineering, 22 challenges faced by developers, and 24 expert recommendations to improve software configuration quality. We complemented this study by a systematic literature review to enrich the experts' recommendations, and to identify possible solutions discussed and evaluated by the research community for the developers' problems and challenges. We find that developers face a variety of challenges for all nine configuration engineering activities, starting from the creation of options, which generally is not planned beforehand and increases the complexity of a software system, to the non-trivial comprehension and debugging of configurations, and ending with the risky maintenance of configuration options, since developers avoid touching and changing configuration optio

The article reviews the problem of monitoring and diagnosing factographic databases for the presence of duplicate records. The monitoring is carried out by the symbolic variable FAMILIA (that means SURNAME in Russian). A word recognition and sampling algorithm has been chosen as a reference algorithm, using match function [lit. ref. 1]. The algorithm has been significantly upgraded at the expense of applying several match functions and optimizing their setting parameter, while taking into account the instances of letter rearrangements and drop-out. General methods of searching and monitoring the files for the presence of duplicate records is proposed. The methodology is used as a tool of smart processing in the laboratory-based practicals for Applied-and Business Informatics training areas. © 2022 IEEE.
