Graph Neural Networks have demonstrated significant success in fraud detection tasks. However, most existing approaches, which rely on distinct message-passing mechanisms to aggregate node information, face two major challenges: the inherent label imbalance between fraudsters and the homophily-heterophily mixture in graph structural data. In this paper, we address the label imbalance by applying oversampling techniques to generate additional training nodes and edges. We propose an adaptive Oversampling Fraud Detection (OFD) framework that generates synthetic nodes and edges for the minority fraud classes. Furthermore, we employ an adaptive message aggregation technique to address the homophily-heterophily issue. Extensive experiments on three real-world datasets demonstrate that our method significantly improves detection accuracy and outperforms several state-of-the-art approaches, offering a robust solution to the label imbalance problem in fraud detection tasks.

A fully opportunistic low Earth orbit (LEO) position, navigation and timing (PNT) receiver requires knowledge of space vehicles’ (SVs’) ephemerides which, for most constellations, are not transmitted in their downlink signals. Most commonly, these ephemerides are predicted and manually matched with received measurements after minimizing ephemeris prediction and receiver state estimate errors. Currently, there is no autonomous and GNSS-independent method for associating received opportunistic measurements with LEO SVs. To address this, a data association algorithm is proposed for identifying transmitting LEO SVs with poorly known receiver states. This algorithm employs a metric based on the nearest neighbor rule to select the most likely LEO SV. The data association algorithm is integrated with an extended Kalman filter (EKF) to estimate a stationary receiver’s position using predicted measurements from the estimated SVs’ ephemerides, which are obtained by propagating publicly available two-line element (TLE) files via the simplified general perturbations 4 (SGP4) software. The algorithm is analyzed in a simulation environment and with real signals collected from the OneWeb LEO constellation. In both analyses, the algorithm is shown perform well in the presence of orbital propagation errors. Receiver position error only affected the algorithm’s ability to correctly identify SVs when the error standard deviation grew to 100 km. Even with this magnitude of position error, the algorithm’s misasocciation rate was 19.11% in simulation and 14.85% in the experimental analysis.

software quality enhancement can be done by identifying the refactoring scope of the existing open-source projects in real time. The refactoring mechanism alters the internal structure of the code base without changing the external result. Objectives: In this work, we have assured the project quality by considering different source code metrics as input that helps to evaluate the refactoring score. Methodology: software metrics used are NOI, SLOC, LOC, WMC, and CCL are considered as input parameters and implemented five different types of boosting algorithms. Result Analysis: As there are many extra features, we have selected 20 relevant features out of 115 using Recursive Feature Elimination (RFE). It is observed that Extreme Gradient Boosting (XGB) is best suitable for identifying refactoring opportunities with an accuracy of 99%.Conclusion: A comparison of projects is performed and Titan projects highly required refactoring as it contains more dirty code.

The number of highly automated vehicles and mobile robots has recently increased significantly. This trend is also present in the case of agricultural and military vehicles that operate in off-road conditions. These vehicles show a wide range of varieties in size, steering systems, and type of running gear. This research aims to present a modular software architecture with an easily adaptable control algorithm for the path-tracking control of unmanned ground vehicles. The developed system has been applied to an 8×8 test vehicle platform and tested on a predefined trajectory at different traveling speeds. The results show that the system can follow the desired trajectory accurately.

Cancer is the leading cause of premature mortality. Globally, the prevalence of cancer is on the rise, and early-stage diagnosis is crucial for cancer recovery and survival. However, the presence of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and heterogeneity within the tumor makes it hard to track how cancer changes over time and how resistance to treatment develops. Unfortunately, the cancer diagnosis precision remains inadequate, endangering precious human lives and necessitating costly procedures for accurate treatment. Machine learning (ML) has proven capable of discovering meaningful information and making predictions, particularly with large datasets. Moreover, quantum computers (QCs) inherently possess superposition and parallel computation, features not found in classical computing. Researchers have demonstrated that quantum neural networks (QNNs) achieve a significantly better effective dimension than classical NNs. In this context, this study investigates the application of classical and quantum machine learning (QML) algorithms to classify breast cancer images. Region-based segmentation is used to identify regions of interest and image processing algorithms are performed on segmented breast cancer images to extract meaningful features (e.g., perimeter, area, compactness). An user interface (UI) based software is created to swiftly distinguish benign and malignant instances during image analysis. Although QNNs perform poorly than the classical NNs, there is still a long way to go in developing feature maps and techniques for better performance. In contrast, the classical NNs have gone a long way with well-established algorithms and packages available to us. This research shows that with further development, QML has the potential to enhance cancer diagnosis accuracy and speed, ultimately improving early detection and treatment outcomes.

CHIMERA and PEGASUS introduced new categories of Fully Homomorphic Encryption schemes, offering methods for converting between schemes and improving repacking algorithms for agile encryption frameworks. Using PEGASUS as a starting point, we aimed to speed up their novel repacking algorithm through the use of additional GPU computation. This work achieved a 50x speedup and 25% reduction in the overall repacking algorithm compared to CPU computation, focusing on unexplored parts and Homomorphic functions that are already GPU-amenable. In addition, We integrated our acceleration function into the Open-Source PEGASUS framework, enhancing its compatibility with complementary works on Homomorphic Encryption acceleration.

The article deals with the automation of the process of categorisation of critical information infrastructure objects in the energy sector. A Python-based software resource has been developed to automate the creation of documentation and optimise data collection. The article analyses the existing approaches to categorisation of critical information infrastructure objects and proposes an algorithm that simplifies this procedure. The stages of programme development are described in detail, including creation of document templates, application of Python libraries for data processing and testing of the resource on the example of energy facilities. Special attention is given to compliance with legislative requirements and the practical significance of automation. The results confirm the effectiveness of the proposed approach, reducing time and labour costs and improving the accuracy of information processing. The paper concludes with a discussion of development prospects, such as the introduction of a graphical interface and expansion of functionality.

Aiming at the coupling problem of light effect interference and non-linear degradation in low-light images, this paper proposes a double-stage enhancement framework integrating hierarchical illumination decomposition and adversarial training. In order to avoid the overcorrection phenomenon of traditional enhancement methods to the light effect area, a light sensitive network is constructed to decouple the reconstruction of the illumination and reflection layers. And, a dynamic exposure regulation module is designed to learn the brightness mapping function of local regions implicit neural representation. Then, the local adaptive gamma correction is performed. Furthermore, a multi-scale adaptive transformer architecture is proposed, which adopts a deformable window mechanism to achieve long-range dependency modeling, to enhance the recovery ability of local degradation features through gate convolutional. In addition, the adversarial co-training strategy is introduced to guide the model to generate results that meet the physical light distribution by jointly using multi-scale discriminators and spectral constraint losses. Experimental results show that the proposed method, which can achieve balanced enhancement in dark areas, leads in SSIM indicators and most of PSNR is optimal.

Despite the vast body of research literature proposing algorithms with formal guarantees, the amount of verifiable code in today’s systems remains minimal. This discrepancy stems from the inherent difficulty of verifying code, particularly due to the time-consuming nature and strict formalism of proof details that formal verification tools require. However, the emergence of Transformers in Large Language Models presents a promising solution to this challenge. In this position paper, we believe that Transformers have the potential to read research papers that propose algorithms with formal proofs and translate these proofs into verifiable code. We leverage Transformers to first build a formal structure of the proof using the original text from the paper, and then to handle the tedious, low-level aspects of proofs that are often omitted by humans. We argue that this approach can significantly reduce the barrier to formal verification. The above idea of reading papers to write verifiable code opens new avenues for automating the verification of complex systems, enabling a future where formally verified algorithms from academic research can more seamlessly transition into real-world software systems, thereby improving code reliability and security.

Clear outdoor images are essential for autonomous driving and accurate target detection, especially in haze. The majority of algorithms are unable to adequately address the issue of dehazing, resulting in a range of distortions, particularly in the sky area. This paper proposes an advanced dehazing algorithm for enhancing sky-area visuals (ESV). We segment the image into sky and non-sky areas, with atmospheric light levels being determined within the sky area. To enhance the recovery of the sky region, we suggest fine-tuning the sky's transmission to a predetermined constant value. Ultimately, the dehazed image is retrieved utilizing the atmospheric scattering model. Extensive experiments have shown that our proposed algorithm outperforms alternative methods, increasing PSNR by up to 1.3733%, 1.6360%, 2.4169%, 0.9512%, SSIM by up to 4.8995%, 0.6281%, 6.5335%, 8.7165%, enhancing the visuals of sky-area, compared to DCP, CAP, HC-CEP and AOD-Net.
