Active Distribution network source-network-load-storage Collaborative Interaction Considering Multiple Flexible and Controllable Resources

In the context of rapid advancement of smart cities, a distribution network (DN) serving as the backbone of urban operations is a way to confront multifaceted challenges that demand innovative solutions. Central among these, it is imperative to optimize resource allocation and enhance the efficient utilization of diverse energy sources, with particular emphasis on seamless integration of renewable energy systems into existing infrastructure. At the same time, considering that the traditional power system's "rigid", instantaneous, dynamic, and balanced law of electricity, "source-load", is difficult to adapt to the grid-connection of a high proportion of distributed generations (DGs), the collaborative interaction of multiple flexible controllable resources, like flexible loads, are able to supplement the power system with sufficient "flexibility" to effectively alleviate the uncertainty caused by intermittent fluctuations in new energy. Therefore, an active distribution network (ADN) intraday, reactive, power optimization-scheduling model is designed. The dynamic reactive power collaborative interaction model, considering the integration of DG, energy storage (ES), flexible loads, as well as reactive power compensators into the IEEE 33-node system, is constructed with the goals of reducing intraday network losses, keeping voltage deviations to a minimum throughout the day, and optimizing static voltage stability in an active distribution network. Simulation outcomes for an enhanced IEEE 33-node system show that coordinated operation of source-network-load-storage effectively reduces intraday active power loss, improves voltage regulation capability, and achieves secure and reliable operation under ADN. Therefore, it will contribute to the construction of future smart city power systems to a certain extent.

With the proposal of the dual-carbon goal and the high proportion of new energy connected to the grid, in order to make full use of the source-grid-load-storage joint participation in grid flexible dispatching and new energy consumption, different forms of energy storage are set up on the three sides of the source grid load, a source-grid-load-storage collaborative optimal scheduling model aiming at low-carbon economy is constructed. Considering that the model is a multi-agent game involving new energy power stations, energy storage power stations and electric vehicles, based on Nash equilibrium theory and reinforcement learning method, this paper proposes to use Nash-Q algorithm to achieve Nash equilibrium to maximize the interests of multi-agents. Finally, using the actual regional power grid data for simulation verification, the results show that the proposed strategy can effectively reduce the economic cost and carbon emissions of the system, and improve the capacity of new energy consumption.

At present, more and more integrated energy projects are built by power grid companies all over the country. These projects all contain source, network, load and storage. But there is no uniform evaluation standard. In order to guide the pluming of such projects and check the implementation effect of the planning in time, this paper establishes a set of evaluation index system for the coordination of source-network-load-storage. Four typical cases were scored with the index system. The industry's most praised integrated energy system got the highest score. This also proves the validity and rationality of the method.

The metaverse of source-network-load-storage system generates the mirror of the physical entity based on digital twin and constructs an information exchange system based on blockchain. The construction of metaverse platform of source-network-load-storage system consists of the device layer, the object layer, the virtual layer and the application layer. The cloud computing servers, the edge gateway servers and human-computer interaction interfaces are set for the different layers of metaverse platform. The situation understanding includes identifying attack activities and identifying attack sources which can use situation guidance for a new round of situation prediction. BP neural network will be used to the operation situation awareness of source-network-load-storage system. In the source-network-load-storage system, the node types on the blockchain mainly include wind farm, photovoltaic station, power grid company, user load, energy storage and regulatory agency. The process of operation situation awareness of source-network-load-storage system on the blockchain in metaverse is presented to achieve the target of situation awareness as well as safe and stable operation of source-network-load-storage system. Different blockchain channels in metaverse platform are used for multiple source-network-load-storage systems to exchange and share information. © 2023 IEEE.

The integration of electricity, gas, and heat (cold) in the integrated energy system (IES) breaks the limitation of every single energy source, which is the development trend of future energy systems. To realize the coordinated planning of "source-network-load-storage," the IES has to be conducive to improving energy efficiency, bringing economic and environmental benefit, and achieving sustainable development of energy. In this paper, the techniques and methods involved in IES planning are summarized. First, the structure and characteristics of the IES are briefly introduced. Second, the key findings of the IES planning are summarized from four perspectives: source, network, load, and storage. Then, the modeling methods of the IES collaborative planning are summarized, and the optimization methods for solving complex planning problems are analyzed. Compared with previous reviews, this paper focuses on the modeling of multi-energy coupling of each part of source-network-load-storage and modeling of the overall collaborative planning. Finally, the future research direction of IES planning is forecast.

Two-Stage Optimal Scheduling for Urban Snow-Shaped Distribution network Based on Coordination of source-network-load-storage

With the widespread integration of distributed resources, optimizing the operation of urban distribution networks faces challenges including uneven source-load-storage distribution, fluctuating feeder power flows, load imbalances, and network congestion. The urban snow-shaped distribution network (SDN), characterized by numerous intra-station and inter-station tie switches, serves as a robust framework to intelligently address these issues. This study focuses on enhancing the safe and efficient operation of SDNs through a two-phase optimal scheduling model that coordinates source-network-load-storage. In the day-ahead scheduling phase, an optimization model is formulated to minimize operational costs and mitigate load imbalances. This model integrates network reconfiguration, energy storage systems (ESSs), and flexible load (FL). During intra-day scheduling, a rolling optimization model based on model predictive control adjusts operations using the day-ahead plan to minimize the costs and penalties associated with power adjustments. It provides precise control over ESS and FL outputs, promptly correcting deviations caused by prediction errors. Finally, the proposed model is verified by an actual example of a snow-shaped distribution network in Tianjin. The results indicate significant improvements in leveraging coordinated interactions among source-network-load-storage, effectively reducing spatial-temporal load imbalances within feeder clusters and minimizing the impact of prediction inaccuracies.

Energy-saving optimal scheduling under multi-mode "source-network-load-storage" combined system in metro station based on modified Gray Wolf Algorithm

Aiming to address power consumption issues of various equipment in metro stations and the inefficiency of peak shaving and valley filling in the power supply system, this study presents an economic optimization scheduling method for the multi -modal "source-network-load-storage" system in metro stations. The proposed method, called the Improved Gray Wolf Optimization Algorithm (IGWO), utilizes objective evaluation criteria to achieve economic optimization. First, construct a mathematical model of the "sourcenetwork-load-storage" joint system with the metro station at its core. This model should consider the electricity consumption within the station. Secondly, a two-layer optimal scheduling model is established, with the upper model aiming to optimize peak elimination and valley filling, and the lower model aiming to minimize electricity consumption costs within a scheduling cycle. Finally, this paper introduces the IGWO optimization approach, which utilizes meta-models and the Improved Gray Wolf Optimization Algorithm to address the nonlinearity and computational complexity of the two-layer model. The analysis shows that the proposed model and algorithm can improve the solution speed and minimize the cost of electricity used by about 5.5% to 8.7% on the one hand, and on the other hand, it improves the solution accuracy, and at the same time effectively realizes the peak shaving and valley filling, which provides a proof of the effectiveness and feasibility of the new method.

With the rapid development of smart-grid, it is increasing for the proportion of new energy in the power system. The emergence of dispatchable resources such as distributed energy storage and flexible load has led to the increasing scale of power grid data and the diversification of data types. The traditional power system dispatching method has gradually exposed some problems, such as inconsistent data transmission protocols, inconsistent business data and insufficient detection of abnormal data in the power grid. In order to cope with the problems of inconsistent power grid business data and insufficient data processing, this article proposes a data architecture of source-grid-load-storage integrated collaborative system, which makes full use of data information to improve data standardization, enhance data transmission capabilities, and improve data processing capabilities to ensure the efficient operation of the power system.

With the continuous growth of new energy installation, the dispatching space of traditional power grid regulation resources is getting smaller and smaller. Effectively expending the power grid regulation resources and promoting the dispatching mode from "source with load" to "load with source" is the way for the safe operation of the power grid and the promotion of clean development. "load Capacity Assessment" is the fifth part of the series industry standards of "Technical Specification for Grid-connected Operation and Control of Adjustable load". It evaluates adjustable load from four dimensions of "observable, measurable, controllable and adjustable" to ensure the safety and standardization of adjustable load resources participating in regulation. Based on the research results of "load Capacity Assessment ", this paper constructs the load capacity evaluation system for power grid regulation under the environment of multiple market players, puts forward the physical meaning and calculation method of each indicator. The load capacity evaluation system is applied to the "source-grid-load-storage" collaborative regulation demonstration project at the Southwest and Chongqing, for the first time and the effectiveness of this evaluation system for evaluating the load regulation and the "source-grid-loadstorage" promotion is validated.

Industrial aerodynamic system (IAS) provides the high-pressure air for consumer users, which is the primary source of power in the industrial park. Thus, their accurate measurement balance state and optimal scheduling are of paramount significance for reducing operational costs and enhancing operational efficiency. In order to solve this problem, an approach known as interval type-2 (IT2) fuzzy deep reinforcement learning (IT2FDRL) is proposed in this study, which is capable of integrating expert knowledge and operational data to enhance the performance of optimal scheduling in complex industrial scenarios. Moreover, the IT2 fuzzy line graph (IT2FLG) model is proposed to realize IAS balance state measurement which establishes a source-network-load-storage model by integration of physical and data-driven approach. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed approach, the performance of IT2FDRL is validated on the advanced process simulator (APROS) simulation platform with a typical operational scenario, the proposed method has salient advantages over the traditional methods in aspects of both operational cost and efficiency.
