In this paper, a new blind restoration scheme for blurred noisy image is proposed. The blurred noisy image is assumed to be the output of a linear space-invariant (LSI) system with an unknown point spread function (PSF) contaminated by an additive noise. The scheme passes the blurred noisy image through a two-dimensional (2D) finite impulse response filter whose parameters are updated by the modified constant modulus algorithm (CMA) with averaging and variable step size adaptive filter. When convergence occurs, the output of the filter is an estimate of the unobserved true image. Simulation and real blurred noisy image results show that the presented algorithm is effective and robust.
