We have developed a visualization tool that displays the run-time memory state of an executing program in a fashion similar to Python Tutor as an extension to the popular vs code IDE. Our approach combines the benefits of a diagrammatic visualization emphasizing the stack frame and heap memory model adopted by Python Tutor with a professional and extensible IDE that has made inroads into the educational community. Moreover, our tool leverages the Debug Adapter Protocol adopted by Visual Studio code, allowing it to be used for any language supported by the IDE with minimal configuration. This open-source tool is developed under the MIT license and hosted at https://***/alt-cs-lab/pedagogical-vscode.

The Entity Relationship model is the de-facto standard for data modeling and has been in use for a long time already. This popularity also led to the development of various tools that support ER modeling. However, these tools are often inflexible, proprietary, constrained to specific platforms, and lack advanced features like (SQL) code generation. This paper introduces the BIGER modeling tool. BIGER offers various features for flexibly specifying and visualizing conceptual ER data models. Within the vs code IDE, the tool enables hybrid and interactive modeling through a textual editor with a custom language to specify ER elements and an accompanying view to display and modify the graphical ER model. The BIGER modeling tool is one of the first tools to incorporate the Language Server Protocol and to be distributed through the vs code ecosystem. Due to its web technology-based architecture, it is platform-independent and easily extensible.

Nowadays, visualization is one of the most important things an integrated development environment or any smart code editor needs to have. There are several different options when it comes to the visualization. It plays a crucial role in software development and has several important benefits, like understanding the code structure, debugging, or troubleshooting. code visualization enhances developer productivity, facilitates collaboration, and contributes to the maintainability and scalability of software projects. It is an essential aspect of modern software development practices. In this paper, we focus on one of the most widely used code editors - Visual Studio code - and on a core component that drives the Visual Studio code called Monaco Editor, mainly on how they can visualize different sections of a code and their complexity when it comes to visualization. Source code visualization refers to representing code visually to enhance understanding, analysis, and communication of software systems.

In an ever-growing world with various manufactures and industries increasingly striv- ing to expand and becoming more high-tech and advance, it's of great importance to have intelligent and inexpensive tools for decision-making. A powerful tool such as a discrete event simulation (DES) offer the ability to perform analyses and experi- ments virtually, avoiding potential damages and cost to the real physical world. The simulation team at AF are looking for ways to improve their way of dealing with DES projects; mainly developed in AutoMod. With the increasing demand of discrete event simulations as well as with businesses continuously changing, it's becoming a great challenging to maintain a model, from a long-term perspective. Problems such as making it time-efficient and easy to resume previous models in case of a future project inheritance or enabling concurrent collaboration among other team members are essentials topics that are now receiving more importance. The thesis has com- bined previous experience in developing in AutoMod with a case study, literature studies and interviewing session with the simulation team at AF. The case study involves an old simulation model developed in AutoMod with a history of multiple authors, making it hard to break down and update. The results are a variety of tools designed to be applicable to both previous models as well as new incoming projects. Key tools developed are the wide range of snippets, customized workflow using Git, and the incorporated well-defined documentation. Using a version con- trol system, Git, has proved useful when trying to manage implementation of new model-features, review changelog, keeping track of bugs and the overall documen- tation. Snippets have showed tremendous advantages when trying to eliminate the software related challenges such as inconsistency in writing and reviewing source code.

Diplomová práce se zabývá protokolem Microsoft Language Server Protocol. V teoretické části práce je popsána architektura a vlastnosti protokolu, popis implementace protokolu LSP uvnitř vývojových prostředí Eclipse a vs code a postup pro vytvoření nového zásuvného modulu do vývojových prostředí Eclipse a vs code. Dále se teoretická část práce věnuje seznámení s projektem Apache Camel a implementací Camel Language serveru a Camel Language klientů pro rozšířenou jazykovou podporu. Poslední zmínka teoretické části je věnována nástroji pro usnadnění vytváření nových projektů Yeoman. Popis praktické části práce se zabývá vlastnostmi a implementací vytvořeného generátoru klientů pro Language Server Protocol.
