The time-frequency analysis by Hilbert-Huang transform (HHT) plays on a significant role in the analysis of singularities, which hide in the signal, and is an effective method for non-stationary signal. Based on empirical mode decomposition (EMD), the Hilbert-Huang method can obtain a true instantaneous frequency representation of a signal. The analytical background of the HHT is introduced, and its effectiveness is experimentally evaluated using vibration signal. The experiment data of typical vibration faults signal were analyzed by the method, and the result shows that the proposed method can not only reveal the time-frequency features of vibration signal but also extrude components of low energy. Therefore, it is a very effective tool to diagnose the early faults of rotor system. And it provides new means for state detection and fault diagnosis of rotating machine.

Paulus and Tsatsaronis presented a method with which specific exergy revenues can be calculated, as opposed to specific exergy costs. In this paper, specific exergy revenues and costs are calculated for a hypothetical two-pressure combined cycle power plant. First, the plant-internal specific exergy revenues and associated exergoeconomic variables are calculated for the case when the product revenues are equal to the product costs. The exergoeconomic, revenue-based variables are then compared to those resulting from the traditional, cost-based methods. The good agreement of the exergoeconomic variables calculated by both methods provides evidence of the validity of the proposed auxiliary equations for calculating revenues. Then, a parametric study with varying product revenues is performed. The resulting exergoeconomic variables show that, for a fixed fuel input, increased capital investment is desired as the products become more valuable.

This paper presents the importance of stakeholder-centric dynamic operating envelopes for integrating distributed energy resources (DERs) in distribution networks. Excessive power injections by the customers affect distribution network performance, causing voltage imbalance, demonstrating the need for equitable and fair allocation of dynamic operating envelopes. This study uses an iterative approach to assess dynamic operating envelopes for a low-voltage distribution network. The dynamic operating envelopes are set by hourly hosting capabilities of Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Solar Photovoltaics (PVs) in a real suburban distribution network in Australia with 966 customers. Based on the literature review and case study, this paper suggests that a stakeholder-focused bi-level approach for defining a dynamic operating envelope can benefit stakeholders during large-scale penetration.
