Distribution networks are gaining attention in the field of the network simulation and analysis. Differences between the distribution networks are tremendous and some network upgrades require prior testing in a simulation environment using a particular network model. An automated algorithm should be used for the network building and the database error mitigation. This paper presents a Matlab algorithm, used to build simulation network model in the OpenDSS software, based on the real network database. Definition of both MV network and underlying LV networks, with all crucial network elements is done simultaneously. Validation results show, that the simulation model is similar to the real network.

Problems of short period multilayer mirrors fabrication are discussed. Results of synthesis of multilayer structures with nanometer period are presented. The shortest period observed is 13 angstroms for W - Si and W - B4C sputtered multilayers. Measurements of near normal incidence reflectivity at (lambda) equals 31 - 32 angstroms are described for W - Sc multilayers with period about 16 angstroms. Measured reflectivity achieves 3.3% and is in good agreement with theoretical model.

As a significant field in object detection, knowledge distillation is plagued by coarse pixel division and complex object form. Although some methods currently use ground truth boxes for pixel division, they ignore consideration of teacher knowledge, resulting in inferior or even erroneous knowledge not being distinguished. In this paper, we propose a distillation method named Decoupled Instances Distillation, which solves the problem of imprecise pixel division and complex forms of remote sensing objects. First, we use the predicted boxes of the teacher network to distinguish different object instances and discard instances containing wrong knowledge. Second, considering the performance of classification and regression, we design the concentration function to differentiate object instances. Experimental results show that our method is powerful on remote sensing image datasets. Decoupled Instances Distillation improves the performance of YOLOv3 by 3.1% mAP on the DIOR test set, outperforming existing methods.

SEIR (susceptible-exposed-infected-recovered) model has been widely used to study infectious disease dynamics. For instance, there have been many applications of SEIR analyzing the spread of COVID to provide suggestions on pandemic/epidemic interventions. Nonetheless, existing models simplify the population, regardless of different demographic features and activities related to the spread of the disease. This paper provides a comprehensive SEIR model to enhance the prediction quality and effectiveness of intervention strategies. The new SEIR model estimates the exposed population via a new approach involving health conditions (sensitivity to disease) and social activity level (contact rate). To validate our model, we compare the estimated infection cases via our model with actual confirmed cases from CDC and the classic SEIR model. We also consider various protocols and strategies to utilize our modified SEIR model on many simulations and evaluate their effectiveness.

A design of novel filtering antenna array with center frequency of 300 GHz and fractional bandwidth of 5% is presented in this paper. This antenna array is designed based on SU8 micromachining technique. Four antenna units which are single-input quadruple-output antennas are arranged with a series network to form a new secondary antenna array, and then four secondary arrays are combined to form the final 8x8 antenna array with the same series network. The whole structure is composed of five SU8 silver-coated layers, each of them has the same thickness of 432 mu m. The simulated result shows that the antenna array performs well in the passband with a reflection loss lower than -18 dB and a gain of 26.06 dBi.
