The present invention relates to an electrolytic composition for a dye-sensitized solar cell, and a dye-sensitized solar cell including the electrolytic composition. More specifically, the electrolytic composition is applied to a dye-sensitized solar cell comprising: a window made of a material capable of transmitting solar light;a photoelectrode formed on one surface of the window and including a transparent conductive electrode and a porous film to which a dye is adsorbed;and a counter electrode which faces the photoelectrode by being spaced apart. The electrolytic composition comprises redox pairs, each of which is composed of 5-methylthio-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-thiol (MTD) and 5-methylthio-1,3,4-thiadiazole disulfide cation (MTD_2^(2+)). The present invention provides a novel electrolytic composition which solves a conventional problem of a polysulfide-based electrolyte applied to a dye-sensitized solar cell to which a quantum dot is applied, and a dye-sensitized solar cell using the electrolytic composition applied thereto. Accordingly, the optical efficiency of the dye-sensitized solar cell can be improved.
