In recent years, the protection method the traditional craftsmanship of intangible cultural heritage gradually receives more attention, with the purpose for the protection of intangible cultural heritage and community construction. This study takes Yongchun lacquered basket in Fujian as an example, aiming to analyze the development difficulty of the local traditional handicraft industry, explore the mechanism to promote the traditional handcraft industry by service design, measure the success of the sustainable development with service design as guide, so as to conclude the enlightenment of sustainable development of traditional craftsmanship. Service design is a user-centered design method, to help build innovative service or improve existing products or services, with the aim to make the product or service provided useful, usable and more efficient. Service design, as a discipline, should not be isolated, but be combined with service development, management, operation and marketing together. First of all, the historical development and the production process of Yongchun lacquer basket as intangible cultural heritage should be analyzed, with the field investigation for its present situation. Second, INPD (Integrated New Product Development) can be used with service design as orientation to analyze the opportunity gap of the traditional handcraft industry of Yongchun lacquered baskets through Society, Economic, Technology (SET) and Value Opportunity Analysis (VOA) is used to explore and evaluate the attribute of new product opportunities. Finally, INPD with service design as orientation is taken as our process framework of intangible cultural heritage protection.

In cross-lingual named entity recognition (NER), self-training is commonly used to bridge the linguistic gap by training on pseudolabeled target-language data. However, due to sub-optimal performance on target languages, the pseudo labels are often noisy and limit the overall performance. In this work, we aim to improve self-training for cross-lingual NER by combining representation learning and pseudo label refinement in one coherent framework. Our proposed method, namely ContProto mainly comprises two components: (1) contrastive self-training and (2) prototype-based pseudo-labeling. Our contrastive self-training facilitates span classification by separating clusters of different classes, and enhances crosslingual transferability by producing closelyaligned representations between the source and target language. Meanwhile, prototype-based pseudo-labeling effectively improves the accuracy of pseudo labels during training. We evaluate ContProto on multiple transfer pairs, and experimental results show our method brings in substantial improvements over current stateof-the-art methods.(1)

This paper presents a Slepian-Wolf coding of n correlated m-ary sources for LDPC codes. On applying the syndrome concept, multilevel codes with low-density parity-check (LDPC) codes can be used to approach the Slepian-Wolf limit at each level. The advantage of LDPC codes is that they can be designed for different correlation models between source outputs and the side information and approach the Slepian-Wolf limits. Specifically, for Slepian-Wolf coding of three sources, a design rule of rates for coding each source, which facilitates code design and allows multistage decoding was proposed.

Laboratories that provide metrological services must approve their competence in order to be recognized on the service market. In addition to the implementation of relevant standards, it is necessary to pay special attention to the relevant bodies through which metrology laboratories confirm their competences, i.e. to the international status of these bodies in the recognition and confirmation of measurement results and issued certificates. Regardless of whether they are metrology organizations, international or regional or on accreditation bodies, their members sign certain agreements through which their users can use measured results and certificates issued by these laboratories without barriers. On the basis of international agreements and declarations between international organizations, mutual recognition of measurement results and issued certificates is possible. The paper was prepared based on the experiences of the Institute of Metrology of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as a national metrology institute on its way to proving and confirming its competence and recognition at the international level and has the aim of giving an overview of international quality infrastructure organizations and their role in this process.

Biological pathway modelers attempt to describe cellular processes and regulatory networks with continuous and discrete models of the cell cycle. Previous practice has been to develop these models largely by hand, and then to validate models primarily by comparing time series plots versus the observed experimental results. This paper reports our experiences in designing and building a modeling support environment (MSE) for cell cycle models. We describe improvements to the development process for cell cycle models by (a) identifying the key elements of the existing modeling process, (b) applying simulation methodology to construct a revised modeling process, and (c) building and testing software that supports the revised modeling process.
