In this paper, numerical calculation schemes of the buffer occupation probability for a buffer which is fed by a large number of independent and stationary sources are evaluated. The resulting buffer occupation probability density function can be sampled in order to model the impact of a background traffic stream on the foreground traffic in a hybrid fluid-flow packet-event simulation. The calculation methods are based on the Large Deviations asymptotic or on the Central Limit theorem. An estimate combining both approaches is also studied. The so called Moderate Deviations scaling gives a Large Deviations result for a Gaussian source. The paper concludes with a quantitative comparison of the calculation schemes with simulations. Periodic ON/OFF-sources with a heavy tailed distribution are used as arrival processes for performance evaluations. The methods are also applied to the well known Bellcore LAN traffic traces.

In this paper, a tracheal intubation apparatus with the field sequential OCB LCD is proposed. The system uses a new color imaging & display system that enables a high quality and low power display. Object illuminations of three primary colors flash sequentially and synchronize with LCD backlight flashing. Clear moving image and high color purity with wide color gamut are obtained.

Computed Tomography (CT) was the first digital medical imaging modality and revolutionized diagnosis with crosssectional images in the 1970's. The evolution of CT acquisition has followed its own form of "Moore's Law", with most metrics doubling every 25 months for the past three decades, improving by more than a factor of 50, 000 over that time. This has been enabled in part by faster electronics but also by clever designs that extend scan geometries, which require more sophisticated reconstruction algorithms. Recent developments indicate a continuation of this trend, creating new clinical applications. Current major issues include reduction of radiation dose and quantitation of material properties.

With the help of today's developing technology; many applications such as traffic monitoring, target detection, empty parking lot assignment etc. have become applicable with machine learning and deep learning methods. These applications are aimed to determine the desired object from the photographs. In this study, it is aimed to develop an approach that able to identify the vehicles through aerial images by using the YOLO (You Only Look Once) algorithm, feeding it with a trained convolutional neural network structure. As a result of the study, an application that can detect vehicles was developed, increased the performance rate of the YOLO algorithm by 3.2%.
