The state estimation method for conventional consumer electronics goods that do not have network capabilities is presented. The purpose of the research is to save home electricity consumption and to adjust electricity consumption amount with electricity generation by prevailing home energy management system (HEMS). The method consists of 2 parts, one is to classify the home appliances by harmonics component included in the electricity current, and the other is ON/OFF decision making tool by Wavelet analysis. The both technology can be applied to HEMS and estimate the state of the home appliances without additional network in home. The state includes ON/OFF switching, electricity consumption rate and so on.

Side chain dendritic polymers (SCDPs)1 have been the subject of many intensive studies because of their highly branched, compartmentalized architectural benefit that can be potentially exploited for a wide range of important biomedical applications such as nanoparticulate carrier of drugs etc. Furthermore, polyamidoamine (PAMAM) dendrimers2,3 and polyurethanes (PUs)4 have heen recognized as the most widely studied biocompatible polymeric excipients. In this context, we have studied the biocompatibility of our previously reported5 side chain dendritic oligourethane (SCDOU) architecture (figure-1) offering the synergistic combination of the vital features of oligourethane main chain and the nanoparticulate size of dendritic units. Both FTIR and NMR (1H, 13C) spectroscopies and elemental analysis were used to ascertain its structure. Cytotoxicity of this SCDOU was studied through interaction with mammalian fibroblast cells (L929). L-929 cells were seeded onto SCDOU material (10 μg/ml) at a concentration of 1×103 cells/well, cultured to confluence in Dulbecco's Minimum Essential Medium (DMEM) supplemented with 10% calf serum and antibiotics and incubated at 37°C in humid atmosphere (95%) and 5% CO2 for 72h. After incubating the cells with SCDOU, cell metabolic activity was measured using MTT assay exhibiting significant cell viability of ∼94%. To the control groups of cells no oligourethane material was added. The percentage of live cells in presence of oligourethane material was determined by comparing the absorbance of the solution of formazan compound, generated from the reductive clevage of yellow tetrazolium salt, at 490 nm with that of the control cells. Since it shows significant viability of fibroblast cells, it can be proposed as ideal nanoparticulate carrier for drugs and furthur works along this direction are underway.

Medium Size Enterprise ventures into IT are dragged by financial, expertise, economies of scales plus the unfavourable market uncertainty with unsettling innovation with vanishing competitiveness towards infrastructure optimization. This mixed-method using survey, interview and focus group with dual data test-retest sequential design approach minimises grey perspectives and conclusions. The findings revealed the shocking fact that a third of total investments in IT were categorised as the unproductive ventures, playing catch-up among the industry competitors while leaving most equipment under-utilized and questionable commercial visibilities while the enterprise bleeds. The utilization of BOINC freeware grid computing centralized processing and storage features been used to improve the enterprise's efficiency by enhancing positive financials in the enterprises via enabling better inter-department work coordination hence improving user satisfaction and stronger brand recognition. The contribution of the study proposed a flexible organic IT infrastructure that will upsize or downsize along with the business performance.
