全新版《大学英语》教材，内容新，文字深，难度大，信息广，可谓与时俱进，对于提高英语教学层次，功不可没。 但是，教参工作，比起老教材的，似乎逊色。有些明显需要诠释的(paraphrase)地方，没有做。译文有的漏译，有的错译，有的欧化气很浓。现仅就Book 3中的问题举几例。 Unit Three，P．73，Line 3，Book Three None of us carried keys，the last one in for the evening would close up，and that was it． 首先“the last one in for the evening”，应作解释。我们觉得此处是the last one who was in for the evening。还有for是什么意义?for此处的意义是of the time fixed or appointed。例如， The meeting will take place on Wednesday，at 7，for 7：30．会议七点半开，七点入场。 再有that was it是什么意义?它是informal用法，意思是：a task or undertaking is now finished。 例如： She surveyed the cold supper she had prepared，decided that was it，and went off to get dressed before theguests came．此处that was it等于that was Ok。 又如Unit Five，P．159，Line56，Book Three I reminded the Reverend Nelson how each morning he would open our little country town‘s grammar school
