Stabilized hybrid finite element methods are developed for the second order elliptic problem. These methodologies are characterized by the following properties:[1] any stabilizing parameter is avoided. [2] the uniform ellipticity is obtained.[3] hybrid element pairs can be depicted as either nonconforming or can be expanded as conforming elements through the method used. This paper presents a posteriori error estimate of FD-SD method for two-dimensional time-dependent convection-dominated diffusion equation, which can be used to reasonably adjust space mesh. The numerical result shows that this local refinement is accurate and feasible.
