Cell-free (CF) massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) is considered as a promising technology for achieving the ultimate performance limit. However, due to its distributed architecture and low-cost access points (APs), the signals received at user equipments (UEs) are most likely asynchronous. In this paper, we investigate the performance of CF massive MIMO systems with asynchronous reception, including both effects of delay and oscillator phases. Taking into account the imperfect channel state information caused by phase asynchronization and pilot contamination, we obtain novel and closed-form downlink spectral efficiency (SE) expressions with coherent and non-coherent data transmission schemes, respectively. Simulation results show that asynchronous reception destroys the orthogonality of pilots and coherent transmission of data, and thus results in poor system performance. In addition, getting a highly accurate delay phase is substantial for CF massive MIMO systems to achieve coherent transmission gain. Moreover, the oscillator phase of UEs has a larger effect on SE than that of the APs, because the latter can be significantly reduced by increasing the number of antennas. © 2022 IEEE.

In this paper, a cross-coupled type AC-DC converter for RFID tags is proposed. The converter consists of 2 charge-pump type AC-DC converters with opposite polarities. In conventional converters, the threshold voltage of a diode switch causes the decrease in power efficiency. By using cross-coupled connection of CMOS switches, the proposed converter can alleviate the influence of the threshold voltage. Hence, it can achieve an AC-DC conversion with high efficiency. Furthermore, the circuit size of the proposed converter is almost the same as that of the conventional circuit. Through SPICE simulations, the following characteristics are obtained: 1. the power efficiency is more than 88 % and 2. the electric power is about 5mW when an output load is 500 Ω. Concerning the power efficiency and the ripple voltage, theoretical design formulas are derived. Furthermore, the validity of the circuit design is confirmed by experiments.

In this paper, we propose a sentence segmentation model for a semi-automatic tree annotation tool using a parsing model. For the purpose of improving both parsing performance and parsing complexity without any modification of the parsing model, the tree annotation tool performs two-phase parsing for the intra-structure of each segment and the inter-structure of the segments after segmenting a sentence. Experimental results show that it can reduce manual effort about 28.3% by the proposed sentence segmentation model because an annotator's intervention related to cancellation and reconstruction remarkably decrease. © Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2006.

Abstract. In order to achieve safe driving behavior, the most important point of automatic driving is to detect the target. At present, the judgment of obstacles is based on single sensor, so it is difficult to detect some complex road environment, and it is easy to be missed. Therefore, this paper proposes another system device combined with color camera technology in lidar. This is another detection method proposed on the basis of Yolo, which improves the detection ability of small targets such as non motor vehicles and people. This is based on the Yolo algorithm, using images and other samples to obtain relevant useful data, and finally build the detection system model. Finally, the sensor is introduced to combine the color image and the deep image in order to improve the detection accuracy. Finally, the fusion of decision-making level is verified by test samples. The results show that the improved YOLO algorithm and decision-level fusion algorithm have higher target detection accuracy, can meet the real-time requirements, and can reduce the miss detection rate of small and weak targets such as non-motorized vehicles and pedestrians. Therefore, the method proposed in this paper has good performance and broad application prospects, while taking into account both accuracy and real-time. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Coupling Trends in Industrial Prototyping Roles: An Empirical Investigation

Prototyping in the development cycle claims to improve analyst understanding of system requirements leading to systems which match those requirements more closely. The quality of the end systems, from a user perspective, is thus improved. In this paper, the results of an empirical investigation into the use of prototyping in the development of various systems is described. Nine processes across eight different sites were analysed and data relating to each process was collected. The notation of Role Activity Diagrams (RADs) was used to capture each of the nine processes. Five hypotheses were then investigated: these related the prototyping role to features of other roles such as extent of interaction during the prototyping process, the effect site size had on the prototyping role and the dependence of the prototyping role on other roles in the prototyping process. Two coupling metrics were introduced to quantitatively analyse these RAD features. Results indicated a strong similarity between large and medium-sized sites in terms of interactions and behaviour. The prototyping process in small sites, however, was found to be different to large and medium-sized sites in both respects. The study demonstrates how measures of business models can aid analysis of the process as well as the products of systems development and highlights the need for more empirical investigation into this and other facets of the software development process.

The reduced density matrices of a many-body quantum system form a convex set, whose three-dimensional projection is convex in R3. The boundary of may exhibit nontrivial geometry, in particular ruled surfaces. Two physical mechanisms are known for the origins of ruled surfaces： symmetry breaking and gapless. In this work, we study the emergence of ruled surfaces for systems with local Hamiltonians in infinite spatial dimension, where the reduced density matrices are known to be separable as a consequence of the quantum de Finetti＇s theorem. This allows us to identify the reduced density matrix geometry with joint product numerical range II of the Hamiltonian interaction terms. We focus on the case where the interaction terms have certain structures, such that a ruled surface emerges naturally when taking a convex hull of ∏. We show that, a ruled surface on sitting in ∏ has a gapless origin, otherwise it has a symmetry breaking origin. As an example, we demonstrate that a famous ruled surface, known as the oloid, is a possible shape of , with two boundary pieces of symmetry breaking origin separated by two gapless lines.

Recent advances in DeepFake face-swapping technology have made it simple to create fake videos that appear remarkably real. Since it has been employed in numerous instances for deceit, extortion, and the falsification of facts, its widespread use has generated a huge social, security, and political risk. Its use on websites and social media has become more widespread. Detecting this crime is becoming more and more important due to the potential harm false videos may inflict on a global scale. This research offers a method for building a deep learning model that really can tell the difference between authentic and false videos. The article describes how to create new models based on the VGG1. neural network, a previously created neural network that does image categorization, using transfer learning in the computer vision field. Deep learning is still becoming better at both producing and spotting DeepFakes. DeepFake detection algorithms are developed using dated public datasets, and as a result, they may become obsolete with time. and require continual updating. The research findings are encouraging, and our results reached an accuracy rate of over 90%. © 2023 IEEE.

In order to meet the growing demands for multimedia service access and release the pressure of the core network, edge caching and device-to-device (D2D) communication have been regarded as two promising techniques in next generation mobile networks and beyond. However, most existing related studies lack consideration of effective cooperation and adaptability to the dynamic network environments. In this article, based on the flexible trilateral cooperation among user equipment, edge base stations and a cloud server, we propose a D2D-assisted heterogeneous collaborative edge caching framework by jointly optimizing the node selection and cache replacement in mobile networks. We formulate the joint optimization problem as a Markov decision process, and use a deep Q-learning network to solve the long-term mixed integer linear programming problem. We further design an attention-weighted federated deep reinforcement learning (AWFDRL) model that uses federated learning to improve the training efficiency of the Q-learning network by considering the limited computing and storage capacity, and incorporates an attention mechanism to optimize the aggregation weights to avoid the imbalance of local model quality. We prove the convergence of the corresponding algorithm, and present simulation results to show the effectiveness of the proposed AWFDRL framework in reducing average delay of content access, improving hit rate and offloading traffic. © 1.83-201.
