Existing Lexical Punctuation Prediction methods are mainly trained on the standard clean data while losing the generalization in practical automatic speech recognition (ASR) system with ubiquitous transcription errors. To bridge the gap between clean training data and noisy testing data, we propose three random (3R) data augmentation strategies: random word deletion (RWD), random word substitution (RWS), and random phoneme edition (RPE) in both word and phoneme levels on the training dataset. Specifically, we contribute an acoustically similar vocabulary with phoneme level editions for acoustically similar word substitution. In addition, we first introduce the RoBERTa-large model into a punctuation prediction task to capture the semantics and the long-distance dependencies in language. Extensive experiments on the English dataset IWSLT201. yield to a new state-of-the-art comparing to the prevalent punctuation prediction methods.

On the structure of 1.generator quasi-polycyclic codes over finite chain rings

Quasi-polycyclic (QP for short) codes over a finite chain ring R are a generalization of quasi-cyclic codes, and these codes can be viewed as an R[x]-submodule of Rm, where Rm := R[x]/hfi, and f is a monic polynomial of degree m over R. If f factors uniquely into monic and coprime basic irreducibles, then their algebraic structure allow us to characterize the generator polynomials and the minimal generating sets of 1.generator QP codes as R-modules. In addition, we also determine the parity check polynomials for these codes by using the strong Gröbner bases. In particular, via Magma system, some quaternary codes with new parameters are derived from these 1.generator QP codes. © 2021. CC0.

In this paper, a novel wideband dual-band magneto-electric dipole antenna with modified feed structure is proposed. Double-layer patches are utilized to design a pair of folding metal. The double-layer patches dipole can generate two resonant frequencies, which are employed to form a dual-band magneto-electric dipole antenna. A stair-shaped feeding strip with a hexagonal structure is designed to modify the impedance matching. It is found from simulated results that two operation bands with bandwidths of 60% from 1.61.to 2.99 GHz and 31.9% from 4.99 to 6.89 GHz under the return loss level of 1. dB were achieved. The gain of the antenna ranged from 7.56 to 1..56 dBi. Furthermore, low cross-polarization level and low back-radiation are also obtained with the proposed antenna.

In this paper, we propose a sampling approach of reference points used for performance metrics of multi-objective evolutionary algorithms. Traditional reference point sampling methods, such as the Das and Dennis method, usually sample the reference points via a set of uniformly distributed weight vectors generated on an ideal hyper-plane in objective space, which however often ignore the geometric shape of a specific Pareto front. Therefore, we propose a novel reference point sampling approach by taking the specific shape of the Pareto optimal front to be tackled into account for measuring the performance of multi-objective evolutionary algorithms. The performance of the proposed reference point sampling method against the other two state-of-the-art sampling methods is tested on six test instances in various conditions, which clearly demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed sampling method.

Knowledge tracing (KT) is a crucial task in online learning, aimed at tracing and predicting each student's knowledge states throughout their learning process. Over the past decade, it has garnered widespread attention due to it provides the potential for more tailored and adaptive online learning experiences. Although most current KT methodologies emphasize optimizing network structures to enhance predictive accuracy for future student performance, they often neglect anomalous interactions in students' learning processes, which may arise from low data quality (i.e., inferior question quality) and abnormal student behaviors (i.e., guessing and mistakes). To this end, in this paper, we propose a novel framework, termed HD-KT, designed to enhance the robustness of existing KT methodologies with Hybrid learning interactions Denoising approach. Specifically, we introduce two detectors for anomalous learning interactions, namely knowledge state-guided anomaly detector and student profile-guided anomaly detector. In the first detection module, we design a sequential autoencoder to identify anomalous learning interactions by detecting atypical student knowledge states. In the second module, we incorporate an attention mechanism by modeling a student's long-term profile to capture irregular interactions. Extensive experiments on four real-world benchmark datasets have decisively shown our HD-KT markedly boosts the robustness of numerous prevailing KT models, consequently increasing the accuracy of future student performance predictions. Additionally, our case studies highlight the versatility of HD-KT in addressing diverse downstream tasks, such as exercise quality analysis and learning behavior-based student clustering. © 2024 ACM.

To meet the urgent requirements of ultra-reliable and low-latency communications (URLLCs) in vehicular networks, vehicular edge caching (VEC) becomes a promising solution to reduce backhaul costs and mitigate network congestion. However, the data requested by vehicular users may be maliciously tampered by attackers during the caching delivery phase. In this paper, we investigate the problem of secure caching placement and delivery for a VEC URLLC system. Specifically, we first analyze the lower bound of spectral efficiency for URLLCs and security metric, i.e., vulnerability. Then, an optimization problem of minimizing the maximum vulnerability among all vehicular users is formulated based on the analysis. Subsequently, we propose a secure caching placement and delivery algorithm to obtain the solutions of our formulated problem by reasonable complexity. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can significantly improve the performance of security for the VEC URLLC system.

Detection of shot transitions servers as the preliminary step to video indexing and retrieval. Locally linear embedding (LLE) algorithm fails when it is applied to video with multi-shot. In this paper, we present a novel framework of shot transitions detection. The method involves two processes: First we extract the manifold feature of shot transition using LLE through addition of virtual frames on an enriched set, and then they are classified by *** show that the recognition rate of shot transition is reached over 90％.

A broadband dual-polarized magneto-electric dipole antenna excited by Γ-shaped strips is presented in this communication. The proposed antenna contains three parts. The radiating element of the proposed antenna is a combination of the vertically oriented shorted patch, the planar dipole and the bottom plate. The two orthogonal Γ-shaped feeding strips connected with 50 Ω SMA launchers are used to excite the proposed antenna. The corner reflector can effectively improve the radiation performance of the proposed antenna. As shown in simulated results, the impedance bandwidth of the proposed antenna is 48% for standing-wave ratio (SWR) ≤2 (0.86-2.47 GHz), the available bandwidth of the antenna covers the 2G/3G/LTE bands, and the antenna obtains a stable gain that the average value is 1. dBi. Meanwhile, the antenna has good performance in radiation characteristics. The proposed antenna can be applied to the base station communication systems.

Video rain/snow removal from surveillance videos is an important task in the computer vision community since rain/snow existed in videos can severely degenerate the performance of many surveillance system. Various methods have been investigated extensively, but most only consider consistent rain/snow under stable background scenes. Rain/snow captured from practical surveillance camera, however, is always highly dynamic in time with the background scene transformed occasionally. To this issue, this paper proposes a novel rain/snow removal approach, which fully considers dynamic statistics of both rain/snow and background scenes taken from a video sequence. Specifically, the rain/snow is encoded as an online multi-scale convolutional sparse coding (OMS-CSC) model, which not only finely delivers the sparse scattering and multi-scale shapes of real rain/snow, but also well encodes their temporally dynamic configurations by real-time ameliorated parameters in the model. Furthermore, a transformation operator imposed on the background scenes is further embedded into the proposed model, which finely conveys the dynamic background transformations, such as rotations, scalings and distortions, inevitably existed in a real video sequence. The approach so constructed can naturally better adapt to the dynamic rain/snow as well as background changes, and also suitable to deal with the streaming video attributed its online learning mode. The proposed model is formulated in a concise maximum a posterior (MAP) framework and is readily solved by the ADMM algorithm. Compared with the state-of-the-art online and offline video rain/snow removal methods, the proposed method achieves better performance on synthetic and real videos datasets both visually and quantitatively. Specifically, our method can be implemented in relatively high efficiency, showing its potential to real-time video rain/snow removal. Copyright © 201., The Authors. All rights reserved.

A Pilot Allocation Method of Jointing Cell Grouping and Alliance Game in Massive MIMO System

In order to improve the uplink channel estimation performance and reduce pilot contamination (PC), this paper proposes a pilot allocation method of jointing cell grouping and alliance game (JCG-AG) for massive multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) cellular networks. It can be divided into two steps. First, by properly dividing all cells into different cell-groups, the users in different cell-groups are allocated different orthogonal pilot sets. Second, the users in the same cell-group are further divided into several mutually disjoint sub-alliances. Users belonging to different sub-alliances are allocated different pilots, and users belonging to the same sub-alliance reuse the same pilots. During the second step, the alliance formation algorithm is used to suppress PC. The JCG-AG method takes practical application as the starting point, focuses on the random distribution of users, and uses the idea of alliance game. All these make it more flexible and practical. As demonstrated in the simulation results, the JCG-AG method can greatly mitigate the PC and reduce the average mean square error (MSE) for all channel estimations in the uplink.
