Implementing runtime integrity measurement in an acceptable way is a big challenge. We tackle this challenge by developing a framework called Patos. This paper discusses the design and implementation concepts of our operating system mechanisms for runtime process integrity measurement, which is an important part of the Patos framework and is named Patos-RIP. Patos-RIP is developed into the mainstream Linux operating system and utilizes TPM as hardware support for tamper-resistance. From the beginning a process is created to the moment the process dies, Patos-RIP conducts integrity measurement at appropriate points of time when the process runs, so as to ensure that the integrity of a process is not compromised during its whole lifetime. This way, Patos-RIP can improve trustworthiness of processes by effectively detecting runtime tampering attacks on processes' integrity. ©2009 IEEE.

Flow visualization of silicon-based micro pulsating heat pipes

Two sets of silicon-based micro pulsating heat pipes(SMPHPs) with trapezoidal cross section having hydraulic diameters of 352 μm(#1. and 394 μm(#2) respectively were fabricated for the first time using MEMS *** FC-72 as the working fluid,the start-up,steady operation state,as well as flow patterns were investigated using a CCD *** was found that the start-up process of these two SMPHPs was rather *** the start-up period,no nucleation was observed,and the vapor plugs at the evaporator U-bends were formed mainly due to the breakup of liquid *** the steady operation state,self-sustained oscillation with large amplitudes dominated the flow behavior when the inclination angle varied from 1.° to 90°,but the nucleate boiling and bulk circulation were observed only in SMPHP #*** bubbly,slug/plug,annular/semi-annular,and wavy-annular flows were observed in both two SMPHPs,the injection flow only appeared in SMPHP #2.

2DCMA： An Effective Maintenance Algorithm of Materialized Views in Peer data Management Systems

Update management is very important for data integration systems. So update management in peer data management systems （PDMSs） is a hot research area. This paper researches on view maintenance in PDMSs. First, the definition of view is extended and the peer view, local view and global view are proposed according to the requirements of applications. There are two main factors to influence materialized views in PDMSs. One is that schema mappings between peers are changed, and the other is that peers update their data. Based on the requirements, this paper proposes an algorithm called 2DCMA, which includes two sub-algorithms： data and definition consistency maintenance algorithm% to effectively maintain views. For data consistency maintenance, Mork＇s rules are extended for governing the use of updategrams and boosters. The new rule system can be used to optimize the execution plan. And are extended for the data consistency maintenance algorithm is based on the new rule system. Furthermore, an ECA rule is adopted for definition consistency maintenance. Finally, extensive simulation experiments are conducted in SPDMS. The simulation results show that the 2DCMA algorithm has better performance than that of Mork＇s when maintaining data consistency. And the 2DCMA algorithm has better performance than that of centralized view maintenance algorithm when maintaining definition consistency.

Fine-Grained Cross-Modal Fusion Based Refinement for Text-to-Image Synthesis

Text-to-image synthesis refers to generating visual-realistic and semantically consistent images from given textual descriptions. Previous approaches generate an initial low-resolution image and then refine it to be high-resolution. Despite the remarkable progress, these methods are limited in fully utilizing the given texts and could generate text-mismatched images, especially when the text description is complex. We propose a novel finegrained text-image fusion based generative adversarial networks(FF-GAN), which consists of two modules: Finegrained text-image fusion block(FF-Block) and global semantic refinement(GSR). The proposed FF-Block integrates an attention block and several convolution layers to effectively fuse the fine-grained word-context features into the corresponding visual features, in which the text information is fully used to refine the initial image with more details. And the GSR is proposed to improve the global semantic consistency between linguistic and visual features during the refinement process. Extensive experiments on CUB-200 and COCO datasets demonstrate the superiority of FF-GAN over other state-of-the-art approaches in generating images with semantic consistency to the given texts.

The theoretical studies of bionics of machinery have great scientific significance, and the development of bionic machines has large practical values in the field of engineering and technology. Through the rigorous selection process of evolution, the survived living organisms have successfully developed outstanding abilities to adapt to their surroundings and to reproduce their offspring. In this review,we interpreted the fundamental principles of anti-adhesion and anti-resistance of soil animals by reviewing the current status in this research field and summarizing the work of the research group at Jilin University of China in the past decades. The principles and technologies used in morphology bionics,electric-osmosis bionics,flexibility bionics,configuration bionics and coupling bionics were ***,the applications of the engineering bionics and their extensive prospects were introduced.

Improved electrochemical performances of polyaniline nanotubes-poly-L-lysine composite for label-free impedance detection of DNA hybridization

A sensitive label-free DNA hybridization biosensing platform was fabricated based on the synergistic effect of polyaniline nanotubes (PANInt) and poly-L-lysine (pLys).The composite of pLys and PANInt was coated onto the carbon paste electrode (CPE) to form a uniform and very stable nanocomposite *** pLys in the composite film not only acts as a membrane to retain good electron transfer capability of PANInt even at physiological pH,but also possesses fine biocompatibility for *** probes with negatively charged phosphate groups were readily linked to the positively charged pLys surface due to the strong electrostatic *** synergistic effect of PANInt and pLys could significantly enhance the sensitivity of DNA hybridization *** phosphinothricin acetyltransferase (PAT) gene fragment from transgenic corn and the polymerase chain reaction amplification of the terminator of nopaline synthase gene from the real sample of a kind of transgenic soybean were detected by this DNA electrochemical biosensor via label-free impedance *** stable composite gives convenient permselectivity properties as a transducer material for the design of modern electrochemical impedance biosensor using [Fe(CN)6]3-/4as an indicator.

Two new bis-imidazolinium salts (4a, 4b) have been synthesized as precursors of N-heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) from the commercially available (R)-2,2′-dihydroxy-1.1.-binaphthalene. The two bis-imidazolinium salts were used as efficient precursor of NHC ancillary ligands in the palladium-catalyzed Heck reaction. Good to excellent yields and high stereoselectivities were obtained with ethyl acrylate, acrylonitrile, and acrylamide as starting materials. The structure of bis-imidazolinium salt 4b was further characterized by single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis.

Person re-identification is a prevalent technology deployed on intelligent *** have been remarkable achievements in person re-identification methods based on the assumption that all person images have a sufficiently high resolution,yet such models are not applicable to the open *** real world,the changing distance between pedestrians and the camera renders the resolution of pedestrians captured by the camera *** low-resolution(LR)images in the query set are matched with high-resolution(HR)images in the gallery set,it degrades the performance of the pedestrian matching task due to the absent pedestrian critical information in LR *** address the above issues,we present a dualstream coupling network with wavelet transform(DSCWT)for the cross-resolution person re-identification ***,we use the multi-resolution analysis principle of wavelet transform to separately process the low-frequency and high-frequency regions of LR images,which is applied to restore the lost detail information of LR ***,we devise a residual knowledge constrained loss function that transfers knowledge between the two streams of LR images and HR images for accessing pedestrian invariant features at various *** qualitative and quantitative experiments across four benchmark datasets verify the superiority of the proposed approach.
