Preparation of micro-patterned surfaces of Si-N-O films and their influence on adhesion behavior of endothelial cells

Microgrooves were prepared on Si(1.0) surface by photolithography and wet ***,Si-N-O films were deposited on the microgrooves by unbalanced magnetron sputtering(UBMS) and micro-patterned surfaces of Si-N-O films were *** size of the micropatterns was measured by surface *** chemical composition of Si-N-O films were characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectrometry(XPS) and the wettability of the micropatterned surfaces was evaluated by contact angle *** behavior of endothelial cells adhered on the micro-patterned surfaces,including cells adhesion,proliferation and orientation,was evaluated by cell culture test and Alamar blue *** results showed that the amount and activity of endothelial cells on micro-patterned samples were higher than those on flat *** one day's incubation,the cells were well guided along the *** days later,most of the cells grew across the grooves and contacted each *** activity was also much higher than that on flat *** was suggested that the adhesion and proliferation of endothelial cells could be effectively enhanced by micropattern method.

Transparent,smooth and dense zinc tin oxide (ZTO) thin films have been successfully produced by using a new precursor solution,zinc acetate and tin(II) 2-ethylhexanoate mixed with 2-ethanolamine in *** ZTO films have been prepared by spin-coating,followed by thermal treatment in oxygen *** morphology,composition,crystallinity and band gap energy (Eg) of the ZTO thin films have been characterized by Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM),Atomic Emission Spectrometry (AES),X-ray Diffraction (XRD) and UV-vis *** conductivity of ZTO is about 9.8×1.-9 S/cm,as estimated from the current-voltage (I-V) *** effect of the thermal treatment process on the morphology of ZTO thin films is also discussed.

CLASCN： Candidate Network Selection for Efficient Top-κ keyword Queries over {1.bases

keyword Search Over Relational {1.bases （KSORD） enables casual or Web users easily access {1.bases through free-form keyword queries. Improving the performance of KSORD systems is a critical issue in this area. In this paper, a new approach CLASCN （Classification, Learning And Selection of Candidate Network） is developed to efficiently perform top-κ keyword queries in schema-graph-based online KSORD systems. In this approach, the Candidate Networks （CNs） from trained keyword queries or executed user queries are classified and stored in the {1.bases, and top-κ results from the CNs are learned for constructing CN Language Models （CNLMs）. The CNLMs are used to compute the similarity scores between a new user query and the CNs from the query. The CNs with relatively large similarity score, which are the most promising ones to produce top-κ results, will be selected and performed. Currently, CLASCN is only applicable for past queries and New All-keyword-Used （NAU） queries which are frequently submitted queries. Extensive experiments also show the efficiency and effectiveness of our CLASCN approach.

The interaction between furosemide-palladium (Ⅱ) chelate and basic triphenylmethane dyes by resonance Rayleigh scattering spectra and resonance non-linear scattering spectra and their analytical applications

In pH 4.5-7.0 Britton-Robinson buffer solution,furosemide (FUR) reacted with Pd (II) to form a 1.1.anionic *** chelate could further react with such basic triphenylmethane dyes (BTPMD) as ethyl violet (EV),crystal violet (CV),methyl violet (MV),methyl green (MeG) and brilliant green (BG) to form 1.1.ion-association *** not only resulted in the change of absorption spectra,but also led to the significant enhancement of resonance Rayleigh scattering (RRS),second-order scattering (SOS) and frequency doubling scattering (FDS).The maximum RRS wavelengths were located at 324 nm for the EV,CV and MV system,and 340 nm for the BG and MeG *** maximum SOS wavelengths were located at 550 nm for the EV,CV,BG and MeG system,and 530 nm for the MV *** maximum scattering peaks of all the systems were at 392 nm for *** enhanced RRS,SOS and FDS intensities were directly proportional to the concentration of *** detection limits for the different dye systems were 0.3-4.9 ng mL-1.for the RRS method,3.2-33.1.ng mL-1.for the SOS method and 9.0-85.7 ng mL-1.for the FDS *** methods could be used for the determination of trace amounts of *** effects of the formation of ternary ion-association complexes on the spectral characteristics and intensities of absorption,RRS,SOS and FDS have been *** optimum conditions of these reactions,the influencing factors and the analytical properties have been *** influences of coexisting substances were tested by RRS method and the results showed that this method exhibited a high *** on the aforementioned research,the highly sensitive,simple and rapid methods for the determination of trace amounts of FUR by resonance light scattering technique have been established,which could be applied to the determination of FUR in tablet,injection,human serum and urine *** composition and structure of the ternary ion-association complex and the reaction mechanism were discusse

Method of Green’s function of nonlinear vibration of corrugated shallow shells

Based on the dynamic equations of nonlinear large deflection of axisymmetric shallow shells of revolution, the nonlinear free vibration and forced vibration of a corrugated shallow shell under concentrated load acting at the center have been investigated. The nonlinear partial differential equations of shallow shell were re-duced to the nonlinear integral-differential equations by using the method of Green’s function. To solve the integral-differential equations, the expansion method was used to obtain Green’s function. Then the integral-differential equations were reduced to the form with a degenerate core by expanding Green’s function as a series of characteristic function. Therefore, the integral-differential equations be-came nonlinear ordinary differential equations with regard to time. The ampli-tude-frequency relation, with respect to the natural frequency of the lowest order and the amplitude-frequency response under harmonic force, were obtained by considering single mode vibration. As a numerical example, nonlinear free and forced vibration phenomena of shallow spherical shells with sinusoidal corrugation were studied. The obtained solutions are available for reference to the design of corrugated shells.

PKCα translocation from mitochondria to nucleus is closely related to induction of apoptosis in gastric cancer cells

PKCs have been implicated in the regulation of cellular differentiation, proliferation, apoptosis and signal transduction. It was demonstrated in this study that PKC? was located both at mitochondria and in cytosol in gastric cancer cell line BGC-823. Treatment of cells with 1.-O-tetradecanoylphorbol-1.-acetate (TPA) resulted in the translocation of PKCα from both mitochondria and cytosol to nucleus as clearly shown by laser-scanning-confocal microscopy, while the protein level of PKCα was not changed by TPA treatment as detected by Western blot. The results also revealed that TPA-induced translocation of PKCα was in close association with apoptosis induction, and such association was further affirmed by other experiments where various apoptotic stimuli and specific inhibitors of PKC were used. Taken together, these findings indicate that translocation of PKCα from both mitochondria and cytosol to nucleus in gastric cancer cell is accompanied by induction of apoptosis, and may imply a new mechanism of the potential linking between cell apoptosis and PKCα translocation.

Investigations on the amalgamation of gold nanorods by iodine and the detection of tetracycline

The morphological transformation process of gold nanorods (Au-NRs) resulting from the reaction between tetracycline and iodine was monitored by the plasmon resonance absorption (PRA) spectra and the scanning electron microscope (SEM) images. It was found that iodine could fuse Au-NRs into sphericity with the lower aspect ratio and blue shift of the longitudinal PRA band. It was found, however, that the presence of tetracycline, since it can react with I₂, decreases the effective concentration of I₂ and its fusion effect on Au-NRs. As a result, the longitudinal PRA of Au-NRs shifts to longer wavelength linearly with increasing the concentration of tetracycline. With that, tetracycline can be detected in the range of 5.0×1.^∮5- 5.0×1.⁻⁴ mol·L^{−1./SUP>, with a limit of determination (LOD) of 2.4×1.⁻⁶ mol·L^{−1./SUP> (3σ). Most foreign substances in the samples did not interfere in the detection, and tetracycline in the synthetic samples could be detected with the recovery in the range of 92.8%–1.7.2%, and RSD lower than 4.3%. The concentration of tetracycline in milk detected with standard addition method was so low that it accorded with the safety regulation.}}

Synthesis,structure and catalytic activity of complexes [Ln(EDBP)_2(DME)Na(DME)_3](Ln=Er,Yb,Sm) for ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone

Discrete ion-pair complexes [Ln(EDBP)2(DME)Na(DME)3] [Ln=Er (1., Yb (2), Sm (3)] have been synthesized by the reaction between sodium salt of 2,2'-ethylidene-bis(4,6-di-tert-butylphenol)(EDBPH2) and Ln(BH4)3·3THF (Ln=Er, Yb, Sm) followed by centrifugation and recrystalization. The complexes were characterized by elemental analysis and FT-IR, and the bonding model of these compounds was confirmed by X-ray single crystal diffraction for complex 1. It was found that four O atoms in two biphenol ligands as well as two O atoms in one ethylene glycol dimethyl ether (DME) molecule connect to the center rare earth metal atom, while sodium exists as counterpart cation to balance the charge. Complexes 1.3 can all be used as single component initiators for the ring-opening polymerization of ε-caprolactone.

Self-Adaptive Imbalanced Domain Adaptation With Deep Sparse Autoencoder

Domain adaptation aims to transfer knowledge between different domains to develop an effective hypothesis in the target domain with scarce labeled {1., which is an effective method for remedying the problem of labeled {1. requirement in deep learning. In reality, it is unavoidable that the {1.set has a large gap in the number of positive and negative instances across different categories in source and target domains, which is the imbalanced domain adaptation problem. However, since the imbalanced degree always varies greatly in different source- and target-domain {1.sets, most of the existing imbalanced domain adaptation models fix the imbalanced parameters, which cannot adapt to the change of the proportion between positive and negative instances in different domains. To address this problem, in this article, we propose a self-adaptive imbalanced domain adaptation method via a deep sparse autoencoder, which can adjust the model automatically according to the imbalanced extent for bridging the chasm of domains. More specifically, the self-adaptive imbalanced cross-entropy loss is designed for emphasizing more on minority categories and compensating the bias of training loss automatically. In addition, to alleviate the deficient problem of labeled {1., we further propose the unlabeled information incorporating method by minimizing the distribution discrepancy of high-level representation space between the source and target domains. Experiments on several real-world {1.sets demonstrate the effectiveness of our method compared to other state-of-the-art methods. © 2020 IEEE.
