Preparation and Stability Improvement of Intercalated Black Phosphorus Single Crystal

The intercalation of Black phosphorus (BP) was modified by liquid ultrasonic stripping and hydrothermal reaction, and LiF, LiCl, NaCl, and NaF intercalation BP were successfully prepared. The effects of four kinds of intercalation agents on the stability of BP were studied, and a BP modification method with simple operation and environmental protection was provided. The results show that compared with the unmodified BP, the structure of the modified BP after intercalation does not change, and it shows excellent stability when exposed to air and aqueous solution for a long time, which significantly prolongs the service life of BP. © 2025 Trans Tech Publications Ltd, All Rights Reserved.

An Integrated Experimental-Simulation Calibration Method for the Constitutive Model of 6005A-T6 Aluminum Alloy Welds

Due to the different microstructures caused by the heat source effect,welding joints exhibit significant differences in mechanical properties compared to the base *** characterization of the constitutive characteristics of the welded joint requires a large number of repetitive experiments,which are costly,inefficient,and have limited accuracy *** paper proposes an integrated experimental-simulation-based inverse calibration method,which establishes a calibration optimization problem based on the corresponding constitutive model and a finite element calculation model built by the distribution of hardness in the *** the global tensile force-displacement curve of the MIG-welded 6005A-T6 aluminum alloy specimen and the experimental data of local deformation with time change obtained from DIC(Digital Image Correlation),the parameters involved in the constitutive models are optimized *** method can directly obtain the constitutive characteristics of the weldment under conditions of limited experiments and insufficient ***,the adaptability of the constitutive model to the calibration method and the influence of optimization results are discussed and *** results indicate that the global force-displacement response of the non-saturated Ramberg-Osgood(R-O)model is in the best agreement with that of the experimental data,and the energy error is only 2.62%,followed by the MPL model,while the saturation-based Voce model shows the largest simulation error in terms of the presented ***,the simulation results of R-O,Voce,and MPL models in the local area are far superior to traditional fitting methods.

Aptamers represent a distinct category of short nucleotide sequences or peptide molecules characterized by their ability to bind to specific targets with high precision. These molecules are predominantly synthesized through SELEX (Systematic Evolution of Ligands by Exponential Enrichment) technology. Recent findings indicate that aptamers may have significant applications in regenerative medicine, particularly in the domain of tissue repair. In comparison to other bioactive agents, aptamers exhibit superior specificity and affinity, are more readily accessible, and can be chemically modified, thereby presenting a promising avenue for the functionalization of tissue engineering materials in tissue repair applications. This review delineates the properties of aptamers and examines the methodologies and advancements related to aptamer-functionalized hydrogels, nanoparticles, and electrospun materials. It categorizes the four primary functions of aptamers in tissue repair, namely regeneration, delivery systems, anti-inflammatory actions, and pro-coagulation effects. Furthermore, the review explores the utilization of aptamer-functionalized tissue engineering materials in the repair of bone, nerve, and vascular tissues, highlighting the mechanisms by which aptamers facilitate tissue growth and repair through regenerative properties and their role in transporting substances that promote repair. Lastly, the review addresses the future prospects and challenges associated with the application of aptamers in tissue repair, offering novel insights and directions for further research and application in this domain.

Dynamic response and macro-micro characteristics of red soil in shallow karst collapse area along the railway

Karst collapse as a unique environmental geological hazard in karst areas, easily causes changes in surrounding water and soil environments. Train-induced vibration is a significant inducement for shallow karst ground collapse. Previous studies on the dynamic properties of surrounding soil under train vibration loads often neglected the impact of time intermittent effects. Taking the red soil covering a typical potential karst collapse area along a high-speed railway in China as the research object, field monitoring of the vibration characteristics of the surrounding environment was conducted. A series of continuous loading and continuous-stop-continuous dynamic triaxial tests and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) tests were designed considering factors such as loading frequency, intermittent duration, and dynamic stress amplitude. The effects of loading intermittence on the dynamic response and microstructure of red soil were compared and analyzed. The experimental results show that the drainage and unloading of red soil samples during the intermittent phase dissipate the accumulated excess pore water pressure and adjust the internal particle and structure of the soil, reducing the accumulation of plastic deformation during subsequent loading stages. The residual strain under vibration loading conditions considering the time intermittent effect is significantly reduced, and the residual strain decreases significantly with the increase of time intervals. The weakening effects of both macro and micro characteristics of red soil in karst-prone areas are significantly enhanced with the increase of intermittent time. The research results are of great significance for the prevention and control of karst ground collapse in karst areas.

Multi-Scale-Slope Linear Transformer-Based Skeleton Detection for Autonomous Railway Inspection AAV Navigation

Railway inspection is vital to guarantee the safety of railway transportation but now it heavily relies on manual labor, which is difficult and risky in certain regions. The primary premise of autonomous railway inspection using autonomous aerial vehicles (AAVs), with the aim to mitigate the dependency on labor, is achieving autonomous flight along the railway. To ensure the AAV aligns with the railway in high precision, vision-based navigation is more applicable and effective than GNSS-based navigation. In this article, we propose a novel end-to-end network, termed multi-scale-slope linear transformer (MSSLFormer), to detect the railway skeleton directly as target flight trajectory. Our network roots in multi-scale-slope linear attention for enhanced railway skeleton detection and adopts a concurrent head, in which a semantic segmentation branch is included for subsequent inspection tasks. To ensure real-time detection, we leverage attention parameters sharing mechanism when calculating the query-key matrix. Experiments show that our model achieves superior performance, F-score of 86.44%, for skeleton detection on our railway dataset, which contains 9210 labeled images. Relying on our flight strategy, AAV can fly autonomously along the railway up to 15 m/s, demonstrating the great potential for future railway inspection tasks.

A two-level framework for dynamic route planning and trajectory optimization of connected and automated vehicles in road networks

This study proposes a two-level optimization control framework for connected and automated vehicles (CAVs) to minimize fuel consumption and travel delay by integrating network-level dynamic route planning (upper level) and vehicle-level trajectory optimization (lower level). At the upper level, the optimal route is updated whenever a CAV enters a new link. To account for lane-specific traffic dynamics, a topological transformation method is introduced, distinguishing lanes by direction and incorporating lane impedance based on traffic density and turning movements. The Floyd-Warshall algorithm is employed to determine the dynamic optimal route within this transformed network structure. At the lower level, an optimization model is formulated to generate an ideal vehicle trajectory within the optimization zone of a link. The vehicle's initial velocity is set to ensure adequate space for safe maneuvering. The optimal route from the upper level serves as an input for defining the vehicle's terminal velocity based on its direction, forming a boundary constraint for the trajectory optimization model. By coordinating network-level routing and vehicle-level motion control, the proposed two-level framework mitigates sharp acceleration and deceleration, reducing unnecessary stops at signalized intersections. Numerical experiments and sensitivity analyses demonstrate the effectiveness of the framework in improving network performance by reducing both fuel consumption and travel delay.

Spatial-temporal multi-task learning for short-term passenger inflow and outflow prediction on holidays in urban rail transit systems

The rapid growth of passengers has led to overcrowding in urban rail transit (URT) systems, especially during holidays, posing significant challenges to the safe management and operation of URT systems. Accurate and real-time short-term passenger inflow and outflow prediction on holidays is essential for operation management and resource allocation to alleviate such overcrowding. However, short-term passenger inflow and outflow prediction on holidays is a challenging task influenced by various factors, including temporal dependencies, spatial dependencies, the temporal evolution of spatial dependencies, the interaction between inflow and outflow, and the limited holiday samples. To address these challenges, we propose a Spatial-Temporal Multi-Task Learning (STMTL) for short-term passenger inflow and outflow prediction on holidays in URT systems. STMTL comprises three parts: (1) Multi-Graph Channel Attention Network (MGCA) extracts both static and dynamic spatial dependencies from inter-station interaction graphs and then adaptively integrates multi-graph features. (2) Time Encoding-Gated Recurrent Unit (TE-GRU), utilizes time encoding gates to capture long-term periodic variations and unique fluctuations caused by holidays. (3) Cross-attention block (CAB) captures complex interactions during holidays and facilitates the sharing of spatiotemporal features between passenger inflow and outflow. The effectiveness and robustness of STMTL are validated on two real-world datasets from the Nanning URT system in China during the New Year's Day period. Experimental results demonstrate that STMTL consistently outperforms several classic and state-of-the-art models. STMTL achieves a 3.87% and 3.39% average improvement over the best-performing baseline models at 15-min and 30-min granularities, highlighting its potential for practical applications in URT systems during holidays.

Multi-modal travel route planning considering environmental preference under uncertainties: A distributionally robust optimization approach

MaaS (Mobility as a Service) is the main trend in future transportation development. From the user perspective, it is primarily manifested as a shift in travel behavior, transitioning from reliance on single modes, such as private cars, to a mixed mode of various transportation options. In order to facilitate providing door-to-door services for travelers, this paper proposes a user-centric route planning approach under a new multi-modal framework, which it considers five travel modes, including bus, metro, car-hailing, as well as bike-sharing and walking that effectively addresses the last mile problem. Given the diverse travel objectives among travelers, this paper integrates travel time, cost, comfort, and green travel awareness into the objective function. Moreover, a multi-modal network travel route optimization model is established to generate route planning that aligns with traveler's preferences. To address the challenges of multiple time uncertainties and incomplete distribution information resulting from problems such as road congestion and uneven distribution of bike-sharing and car-hailing during a trip, this paper proposes a distributionally robust optimization model to describe the uncertainties in two dimensions of the objective function. A generalized interval-valued trapezoidal possibility distribution is used to describe the time for finding a bike-sharing or for waiting a car-hailing service. The robust objective function and constraints are equivalently formulated as a deterministic model. The distributionally robust optimization model for uncertain travel times of buses and car-hailing services is demonstrated to be semi-infinite but can be safely and equivalently approximated under the Gaussian perturbations ambiguity set. Through comparative analyses with the traditional robust optimization method using experimental cases, the proposed distributionally robust optimization model exhibits superior performance. A proactive opportunistic maintenance decision model based on reliability in train systems

This paper presents an innovative framework for optimizing maintenance strategy in complex electromechanical systems (CEMS), by mitigating over-maintenance and suboptimal resource allocation. This study proposes an optimized maintenance strategy based on opportunistic maintenance with reliability as the core. A topological network model is used to establish a model that forecasts system reliability from function and structure, resulting in the identification of critical components in the system. Subsequently, a maintenance model for mechanical, electrical and information components is proposed and a method for determining maintenance reliability thresholds is suggested. The research imposes constraints in component and system reliability, in constructing an opportunistic maintenance strategies model. The objective of this model was to minimize the maintenance cost. A case study on high-speed railway bogie system supports this strategy, effectively guaranteeing system reliability while reducing maintenance costs. Maintenance resources are allocated reasonably across various stages, thereby reducing wastage of resources.

A study on the path planning and optimization of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality in the highway service area

The transportation sector is a major source of greenhouse gas emissions. Reducing emissions of the Highway Service Area (HSA) can help decrease the sector's carbon footprint and serve as a model for green transformation. Consequently, this study firstly employs the Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) to calculate the carbon emissions during the operational phase of a certain HSA in 2022, and then analyses the emission structure. Subsequently, four emission reduction pathways are identified, including Photovoltaic (PV) power generation, electrification retrofitting, forestry carbon sinks, and green roofs, in terms of both Three 100 Initiatives and carbon neutrality measures. On this basis, the planning of carbon peak and carbon neutral strategies for this service area under different scenarios are carried out, taking into account the dual carbon targets and relevant policies. The findings indicate that: (1) the HSA emitted approximately 766.84 tons of carbon emissions in 2022, with 96.53 % from purchased electricity. (2) PV power generation offers the optimal emission reduction benefits among four emission reduction pathways. (3) In carbon peaking scenarios, initiating PV construction is the optimal emission reduction strategy. (4) In most carbon neutrality scenarios, the simultaneous implementation of PV construction and bamboo planting can meet the neutrality requirements by 2060. However, if the HSA continues to develop economically after 2030, the economy could grow until 2035 to meet neutrality requirements. These findings can guide emission reduction strategies for other HSAs, accelerating the sector's transition to low-carbon emissions while supporting the development of policies for zero-carbon HSAs.
