A blockchains security architecture for confidential applications

Blockchain technologies have been prominent due to their unique functionality. Blockchains are layered networks in which the secret to their effectiveness is stability. Blockchains were originally suggested as open cryptocurrencies but were still desirable for other implementations because of their features. A distributed consensus protocol offering resilience to errors provides Blockchains with decentralization. The members are generally equal, and there is no jurisdiction of any particular organization. The key goal of this paper is to systematize details on blockchains’ protection and privacy concerns. In this regard, we suggest a protection architecture based on models that display the stacked hierarchy of different threats and danger estimation. We are focused on categorizing protection vulnerabilities depending on their sources and the design suggested compared to the previous surveys. We are presenting current preventive and mitigation strategies. The focus of our work encompasses facets of the design of blockchains primarily, although only tangentially do we discuss organizational safety concerns and initiatives.

There is an objective need to control and manage processes of data exchange between users in the virtual environment where there is electronic interaction. Therefore, automation of processing and recognition of messages is a logical and necessary stage in the further digitalization of the work of any enterprise. The purpose of the study is to develop an intelligent chat bot for automating information exchange in a car service. In this work a detailed analysis of online resources for automation of information exchange between participants of network interaction in the service market is carried out. The problem of text recognition is considered and the main stages of the solution are highlighted. In addition, neural networks for text recognition were considered: a convolutional neural network, a recurrent neural network as well as its modifications. As a result, the authors formulated a set of requirements for an intelligent chat bot and chose the language and development environment. The neural network was trained. The chatbot was tested on real data. An option for modernizing the chatbot is its testing in real conditions of information interaction in the digital environment of a car service.

Hardware impaired ambient backscatter NOMA systems: Reliability and security

Non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) and ambient backscatter communication have been envisioned as two promising technologies for the Internet-of-things due to their high spectral efficiency and energy efficiency. Motivated by this fact, we consider an ambient backscatter NOMA system in the presence of a malicious eavesdropper. Under some realistic assumptions of residual hardware impairments (RHIs), channel estimation errors (CEEs) and imperfect successive interference cancellation (ipSIC), we investigate the physical layer security (PLS) of the ambient backscatter NOMA systems focusing on reliability and security. In order to further improve the security of the considered system, an artificial noise scheme is proposed where the radio frequency (RF) source acts as a jammer that transmits interference signal to the legitimate receivers and eavesdropper. On this basis, the analytical expressions for the outage probability (OP) and the intercept probability (IP) are derived. To gain more insights, the asymptotic analysis and diversity orders for the OP in the high signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) regime are carried out, and the asymptotic behaviors of the IP in the high main-to-eavesdropper ratio (MER) region are explored as well. Numerical results show that: 1) RHIs, CEEs and ipSIC have negative effects on the OP but positive effects on the IP;2) Compared with CEEs, RHIs have a more serious impact on the reliability and security of the considered system;3) There exists a trade-off between reliability and security, and this trade-off can be optimized by reducing the power coefficient of the artificial noise or increasing the interfering factor of readers;4) There are error floors for the OP due to the CEEs and the reflection coefficient;5) As MER grows large, the security for Rn and Rf is improved, while the security for T is reduced. The expansive production of data in materials science, their widespread sharing and repurposing requires educated support and stewardship. In order to ensure that this need helps rather than hinders scientific work, the implementation of the FAIR-data principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable) must not be too narrow. Besides, the wider materials-science community ought to agree on the strategies to tackle the challenges that are specific to its data, both from computations and experiments. In this paper, we present the result of the discussions held at the workshop on "Shared Metadata and Data Formats for Big-Data Driven Materials Science". We start from an operative definition of metadata, and what features a FAIR-compliant metadata schema should have. We will mainly focus on computational materials-science data and propose a constructive approach for the FAIRification of the (meta)data related to ground-state and excited-states calculations, potential-energy sampling, and generalized workflows. Finally, challenges with the FAIRification of experimental (meta)data and materials-science ontologies are presented together with an outlook of how to meet them. © 2022, CC BY.

Novel series of Ru(III) Schiff base chelate complexes of general formula [Ru (Schiff base-X) (Cl)2 (As/P Ph3)2]; Schiff base ={2-[(4-N,N'-Schiff base)-methyl]-4-halo(X)-phenol}; X=I, Cl or Br were synthesised and anlysed by spectrochemical and electrochemical/cyclic voltametric characterization. Newly synthesized complexes are observed to absorb electromagnetic radiation intensely in the visible region leads to M → L charge transfer (MLCT) transition. The FTIR values discloses that the bidentate Schiff base ligands are coordinated and bind through the imine nitrogen atom along the deprotonated phenolic oxygen to the central metal atom ruthenium(III). The ESR spectral data reveals that the RuIII complexes displays three-line (gx ≠ gy ≠ gz) designates magneto anisotropy with the electronic environment encompassing the ruthenium atom is an asymmetric environment. The µeff values 1.916 - 1.923 BM of these complexes designate paramagnetic with low spin having an unpaired electron. All complexes show the range of redox behavior of the value ranges - 0.826V to - 0.971V shows quasi reversible one electron metal centered (RuIII/RuII) reduction. The elevated oxidation state of the complex is stabilized by ligands and the bottom oxidation state is balanced by co-ligands like PPh3 and AsPh3.

Identity-based public key cryptographic primitive with delegated equality test against insider attack in cloud computing

The notion of attacks perpetuated by an insider (cloud server) is paramount in this era of cloud computing and data analytics. When a cloud server is delegated with certain responsibilities, it is possible for a cloud server to peddle with users' encrypted data for profit gains. The cloud server takes advantage of it's authorization to launch what we referred to as insider attack. We put forward a new improved scheme on identity-based public key cryptographic primitive which integrate delegated equality test to resist insider attack in cloud computing. Our scheme resist the insider attack perpetuated by the cloud server (insider). We refer to our new scheme as identity-based public key cryptographic primitive with delegated equality test against insider attack in cloud computing (IB-PKC-DETIA). We construct our scheme using a witness based cryptographic primitive with an added pairing operation. Our scheme achieves weak indistinquishable identity chosen ciphertext (W-IND-ID-CCA) security using the random oracle model. © Femto Technique Co., Ltd.

Robust Beamforming Design for Intelligent Reflecting Surface Aided Cognitive Radio Systems with Imperfect Cascaded CSI

In this paper, intelligent reflecting surface (IRS) is introduced to enhance the network performance of cognitive radio (CR) systems. Specifically, we investigate robust beamforming design based on both bounded channel state information (CSI) error model and statistical CSI error model for primary user (PU)-related channels in IRS-aided CR systems. We jointly optimize the transmit precoding (TPC) at the secondary user (SU) transmitter (ST) and phase shifts at the IRS to minimize the ST's total transmit power subject to the quality of service of SUs, the limited interference imposed on the PU and unit-modulus of the reflective beamforming. The successive convex approximation (SCA) method, Schur's complement, General sign-definiteness principle, inverse Chi-square distribution and penalty convex-concave procedure are invoked for dealing with these intricate constraints. The non-convex optimization problems are transformed into several convex subproblems and efficient algorithms are proposed. Simulation results verify the efficiency of the proposed algorithms and reveal the impacts of CSI uncertainties on ST's minimum transmit power and feasibility rate of the optimization problems. Simulation results also show that the number of transmit antennas at the ST and the number of phase shifts at the IRS should be carefully chosen to balance the channel realization feasibility rate and the total transmit power. Mobile edge caching aims to enable content delivery within the radio access network, which effectively alleviates the backhaul burden and reduces response time. To fully exploit edge storage resources, the most popular contents should be identified and cached. Observing that user demands on certain contents vary greatly at different locations, this paper devises location-customized caching schemes to maximize the total content hit rate. Specifically, a linear model is used to estimate the future content hit rate. For the case with zero-mean noise, a ridge regression-based online algorithm with positive perturbation is proposed. Regret analysis indicates that the hit rate achieved by the proposed algorithm asymptotically approaches that of the optimal caching strategy in the long run. When the noise structure is unknown, an H∞ filter-based online algorithm is devised by taking a prescribed threshold as input, which guarantees prediction accuracy even under the worst-case noise process. Both online algorithms require no training phases and, hence, are robust to the time-varying user demands. The estimation errors of both algorithms are numerically analyzed. Moreover, extensive experiments using real-world datasets are conducted to validate the applicability of the proposed algorithms. It is demonstrated that those algorithms can be applied to scenarios with different noise features, and are able to make adaptive caching decisions, achieving a content hit rate that is comparable to that via the hindsight optimal strategy. © 1999-2012 IEEE.

The present scenario in the electrical department is to improve energy proficiency and to investigate innovative compelling and increasingly smart approaches to use power consumption in industrial applications. Electrical machines are a basic requirement for operating various functions in the industry like a crane, blower, material handling systems, pharmaceutical industries and cement industries, etc. The three-phase Induction Motors (IM) is the prime wellspring of vitality employment in industrial applications. The utilization of the Variable Frequency Drives for the industrial application from a small range of induction motor into large capacity of induction motor ranges to improving the effectiveness and efficiency of the process output. The speed and position control is a combined module of the Variable frequency drive section and a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). So joining the VFD drive with the PLC controller brings out the effective outcome of controller efficiency. The V20 drive having a module of single-phase to three-phase inverter circuit connecting with induction motor to approach of innovation and accessibility of movement control of electric motor with conveyor model, the use of Programmable Logic Controllers with power hardware in electrical machines developed and tested in the assembling hardware setup. In this hardware setup PLC with a VFD system for changing the position and speed more accurately of the drive system with load arrangements. The speed changing is proportionally generated by the PLC controller output signal. The speed control and position control of PLC based V20 drive module developed and tested successfully.

Internet of things (IoT) based automatic room temperature monitoring and control with EGS-PWS 2.0

Environmental condition is one of the parameters that cannot be neglected in the measurement or calibration activity in the calibration and testing laboratory, especially when it affects the measurement results. Therefore, according to the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Clause 6.3.3, laboratory must perform the monitoring, recording, and controlling of the environmental condition to meet its requirement. This paper discusses the development of EGS-PWS (Piston Weather Station) Version 2.0 based on Internet of Things (IoT) application with NodeMCU, MicroPython programming, and MQTT (Message Queuing Telemetry Transport) communication protocol, to perform the data acquisition of environmental condition and automatic temperature control in SNSU-BSN. NodeMCU ESP32 as the node sensor or publisher, in which is integrated with the DHT22, BMP180, and MAX31865 module sensor, is able to read and publish the environmental condition data to the ThingSpeak® as the IoT Platform and MQTT Broker. Meanwhile, the NodeMCU ESP8266 as the subscriber of the “field1” or room temperature topic, is able to control the room temperature automatically with relay module and air condition (AC) remote control as the actuator, without the need of waiting the instruction or command from the user remotely. With the initial room temperature of 25.6 °C, the result shows that the EGS-PWS Version 2.0 is successfully demonstrated to read and publish the environmental condition data to the ThingSpeak channel of the user, able to control the increasing or decreasing room temperature of 1°C in each updated message input in “field1” for a specific time interval, and meet the room temperature requirement of (22 ± 1) °C with 100% control accuracy in SNSU-BSN. The respond system characteristic shows that the obtained rise time and settling time are 59 minute 19 second and 1 hour 3 minute 27 second, respectively.
