Many features of 5G are definitely important to the broadcasting service, including diverse content services such as follow-me TV, video-on-demand, but also gaming, Virtual reality (VR) and Augmented reality (AR) and many others. Meanwhile, those services depend more and more on the user's position accuracy, especially in indoor environment. With the increase of broadcasting data traffic indoors, to obtain a highly accurate position is becoming a challenge because of the impact of radio interference. In order to support a high-quality indoor broadcasting service, a high-accuracy positioning, radiation-free, and high-capacity communication system is urgently needed. In this paper, a 5G indoor positioning system is proposed for museums. It utilizes unlicensed visible light of the electromagnetic spectrum to provide museum visitors with high-accuracy positioning, multiple forms of interaction services, and high-resolution multimedia delivery on a mobile device. The geographic data and the location-related data integrated into the 5G New Radio (NR) waveform are detailed. A general-purpose system architecture is provided and some basic techniques to enhance system performance are also investigated. A preliminary demonstration is built in the laboratory environment. It supports over 45.25 Mbps data rate and a mean positioning error of 0.18 m. © 1963-12012 IEEE.

This paper presents a novel biological neural networks based on memristive Tabu learning neuron (MTLN) model influenced by electromagnetic radiation. Despite the model having an unstable equilibrium plane, numerical investigation without the influence of electromagnetic radiation reveal that when increasing the memristor strength induces complex phenomena, including the coexistence of infinite bubbles of bifurcations, offset plane coexistence of various attractors. Furthermore, electromagnetic radiation can significantly impact the system's behavior, giving rise to hyperchaotic dynamics. A decent understanding is seen between the mathematical outcomes, approved through trial execution on an Arduino microcontroller-based. The insights gained from neural dynamics could pave the way for applications in neuromorphic computing, engineering, and brain-machine interfaces. Based on the complex dynamics of the model, a data privacy of biomedical data has been build and reveals good results, and enable to resist to robust attacks. © 2024 The Author(s)

Improving the efficiency of the wireless robotic hand by controlling sensory variables

In this study, the prosthetic hand design that can be made from polylactic (PLA) controlled by means of a glove for the flexible sensors wirelessly from a distance is a low-cost process and that has already been achieved. The design was created based on an Arduino microcontroller, flexibility sensors, and a modern wireless communication unit that covers a far distance so that hand gestures in the glove transmit the signal to the prosthetic hand and operate the servo motors. Therefore, these motors can move the fingers and imitate the movements of the human hand in real-time with very high speed and accuracy. The system has been developed and improved by using the sensor shield (servo- motor driver) to increase the efficiency of complete control over each motor separately in terms of providing it with the required power taken from the power supply and PWM was taken from the Arduino UNO. The prosthetic hand was provided with power and temperature sensors and encouraging results were recorded to increase the range of medical, industrial, and military applications for this hand. A step-down regulator was used in the robotic hand circuit to regulate voltages within 5v to ensure the operation of the sensors within the required limits and the contact voltage is not lost. The handwork with movement, grip, force, and temperature sensors has experimented practically and it was found that it works approximately without error.

We likewise proposed an individual understudy global positioning framework that recognizes every understudy utilizing an RFID tag. Since we are utilizing a notice-based correspondence framework, it is more dependable and effective. We use Google Programming interfaces to know the specific area of the transport. GPRS module is utilized, to follow the transport continuously. By utilizing the Ziff Wi -fi module, the geo-directions of the transport are transferred to the satellite. Our brilliant transport comprises a mechanized entryway opening framework with a two-stage check measure. The initial step is RFID label coordinating with which checks the specific personality of the understudy. The subsequent one is temperature recognition which checks the ideal temperature of the understudy.

Entanglement distribution via photons over long distances enables many applications, including quantum key distribution, which provides unprecedented privacy. The inevitable degradation of entanglement through noise accumulated over long distances remains one of the key challenges in this area. Exploiting the potential of higher-dimensional entangled photons promises to address this challenge, but poses extreme demands on the experimental implementation. Here, we present a long-range free-space quantum link, distributing entanglement over 10.2 km with flexible dimensionality of encoding by deploying a phase-stable nonlocal Franson interferometer. With this distribution of multidimensional energy-time entangled photons, we analyze the achievable key rate in a dimensionally adaptive quantum key distribution protocol that can be optimized with respect to any environmental noise conditions. Our approach enables and emphasizes the power of high-dimensional entanglement for quantum communication, yielding a positive asymptotic key rate well into the dawn of the day.

Joint Resource Allocation and Cache Placement for Location-Aware Multi-User Mobile Edge Computing

With the growing demand for latency-critical and computation-intensive Internet of Things (IoT) services, the IoT-oriented network architecture, mobile edge computing (MEC), has emerged as a promising technique to reinforce the computation capability of the resource-constrained IoT devices. To exploit the cloud-like functions at the network edge, service caching has been implemented to reuse the computation task input/output data, thus effectively reducing the delay incurred by data retransmissions and repeated execution of the same task. In a multiuser cache-assisted MEC system, users’ preferences for different types of services, possibly dependent on their locations, play an important role in joint design of communication, computation and service caching. In this paper, we consider multiple representative locations, where users at the same location share the same preference profile for a given set of services. Specifically, by exploiting the location-aware users’ preference profiles, we propose joint optimization of the binary cache placement, the edge computation resource and the bandwidth allocation to minimize the expected sum-energy consumption, subject to the bandwidth and the computation limitations as well as the service latency constraints. To effectively solve the mixed-integer non-convex problem, we propose a deep learning (DL)-based offline cache placement scheme using a novel stochastic quantization based discrete-action generation method. The proposed hybrid learning framework advocates both benefits from the model-free DL approach and the model-based optimization. The simulations verify that the proposed DL-based scheme saves roughly 33% and 6.69% of energy consumption compared with the greedy caching and the popular caching, respectively, while achieving up to 99.01% of the optimal performance. Quantum simulation is one of the key applications of quantum computing, which accelerates research and development in the fields such as chemistry and material science. The recent development of noisy intermediate-scale quantum (NISQ) devices urges the exploration of applications without the necessity of quantum error correction. In this paper, we propose an efficient method to simulate quantum dynamics driven by a static Hamiltonian on NISQ devices, named subspace variational quantum simulator (SVQS). SVQS employs the subspace-search variational quantum eigensolver (SSVQE) [Phys. Rev. Res. 1, 033062 (2019)] to find a low-lying eigensubspace and extends it to simulate dynamics within the subspace with lower overhead compared to the existing schemes. We experimentally simulate the time-evolution operator in a low-lying eigensubspace of a hydrogen molecule. We also define the subspace process fidelity as a measure between two quantum processes in a subspace. The subspace time evolution mimicked by SVQS shows the subspace process fidelity of 0.896–0.989.

Energy is the fundamental need of every living organism to carry out various processes internally (metabolic process) and externally. For years together sources like coal, diesel, petrol have been used to generate electrical energy. In the perspective of power generation need, focus on renewable energy sources has to be enhanced so as to suffice the future generation energy demand. During recent years, Microbial fuel cell technology seems to be the most emerging technology in the renewable field. It includes biological production of electricity in the presence of bacteria, substrates and some chemical solution. This paper fully focuses on different designs of fuel chamber and use of different combinations of materials such as bacteria, substrate material, and microbes to enhance the generation of electricity by using this technology.

Simultaneously transmitting/refracting and reflecting reconfigurable intelligent surface (STAR-RIS) has been introduced to achieve full coverage area. This paper investigate the performance of STAR-RIS assisted non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) networks over Rician fading channels, where the incidence signals sent by base station are reflected and transmitted to the nearby user and distant user, respectively. To evaluate the performance of STAR-RIS-NOMA networks, we derive new approximate expressions of outage probability and ergodic rate for a pair of users, in which the imperfect successive interference cancellation (ipSIC) and perfect SIC (pSIC) schemes are taken into consideration. Based on the asymptotic expressions, the diversity orders of the nearby user with ipSIC/pSIC and distant user are achieved carefully. The high signal-to-noise ratio slopes of ergodic rates for nearby user with pSIC and distant user are equal to one and zero, respectively. In addition, the system throughput of STAR-RIS-NOMA is discussed in delay-limited and delay-tolerant modes. Simulation results are provided to verify the accuracy of the theoretical analyses and demonstrate that: 1) The outage probability of STAR-RIS-NOMA outperforms that of STAR-RIS assisted orthogonal multiple access (OMA) and conventional cooperative communication systems;2) With the increasing of reflecting elements K and Rician factor κ, the STAR-RIS-NOMA networks are capable of attaining the enhanced performance;and 3) The ergodic rates of STAR-RIS-NOMA are superior to that of STAR-RIS-OMA.
