The project proposes the design, fabrication, analysis of a liquid monopole antenna to demonstrate efficient operation as compared to existing maritime wireless communications systems. For maritime wireless communication, a modern transparent and reconfigurable monopole antenna for sea water is ideal. A probe (for feeding) and a seawater cylinder are tied together by a monopole antenna. Liquid antenna has become a common subject in recent years. Water antenna is a type of fluid (combination of liquids and gases) antenna that is possibly the common due to its reduced cost and ease of use. To develop the efficiency of the monopole water antenna, a washer was added. To increase the bandwidth of a monopole water antenna, base made up of dielectric was mounted between the planar ground and water. SPAWAR created a liquid monopole antenna, which consists primarily of a current probe, a sea-water stream provided using a pump. It consists the benefits of being dynamic and also re- configurable. The ultra UHF and upper VHF is low due to the reason that thin stream of sea water is not an efficient radiator. For that, liquid monopole antenna is designed for sea water wireless communication application. In our structure, liquid monopole antenna is reconfigured by adjusting its bandwidth and centre frequency by modifying radius and height.

Routing is one of the most important stages in the physical layer design of VLSI circuits. The rapid advancement in VLSI technology has necessitated a greater need to optimize the wire length of the circuits i.e. optimize the routing plan. An antenna is one of the essential components for all wireless communication. In medical diagnosis and treatment as an academic discipline, Biomedical engineering holds a conspicuous place. For transmitting and receiving power in the human body antenna plays an implanted role. In microwave head imaging system, we use an antenna array to emit a small amount of electromagnetic (EM) energy towards the head; the dispersed EM signals are processed to image the human head inside. Based on the received electrical properties of regular and irregular tissues of the human head the image is reconstructed. In microwave head imaging, backscattered signals are captured using an antenna, the target is located by digital signal processing, for data collection and image output image computation and software engineering is used. By severe head injury a collection of blood outside the brain may occur and is called subdural hematoma, which can be life-threatening. Subdural hematoma is either acute or chronic. An acute subdural hematoma is caused by a severe head injury. A chronic subdural hematoma is caused by a less head injury. This work presents a VHF/UHF dipole antenna for broadband wireless communication applications. A dipole antenna was designed, to work in the range of frequency (20 MHz – 3 GHz). A genetic algorithm (GA) optimizer will be used to determine the location of load circuits alongside an antenna arm. To configure antenna the bandwidth of antenna operation is maximized by using such an optimizer. The configuration of antenna measurements are characterized by a low voltage standing wave ratio (VSWR) and high gain. Other measurement characteristics can also be evaluated to ensure the ideal antenna operation beyond VSWR and gain.

The problem of low rate attack detection has been well studied in different situations. However the methods suffer to achieve higher performance in low rate attack detection. The multimedia transmission is focused on transmitting video and audio which claims higher bandwidth conditions. There exists no such algorithm in detecting low rate attacks for invariant network conditions. To solve this issue, an invariant feature based approach is presented in this paper. The method maintains the network features like the routes, bandwidth conditions and traffic. Based on these features, a set of routes has been identified for each data transmission. Here, low rate attack detection is performed at the reception of any packet and the data transmission is performed using cooperative routing. From the packet features, and the route being followed, the method identifies the class of route, traffic and bandwidth conditions of the route. Using these features, the method computes Network Transmission Support measure. Based on the NTS value, the method performs low rate attack detection and improves the performance.

The proposal is for a compact and novel shaped frequency-reconfigurable Monopole antenna with a large tuning band. Depending on the switching states, the recommended antenna works in single band modes. In the modelling context, lumped components are utilised to offer variable capacitance, which is responsible for frequency settings. The built antenna’s tuning capacity has been discovered to be between 2.1 and 5.2 GHz. For all resonant bands, the proposed antenna has a VSWR of 1.3. The High Frequency Structure Simulator is used to test the proposed antenna’s far field and scattering characteristics (HFSS). The developed antenna may be readily integrated into modern communication devices such as smart phones, laptops, and other portable electronic equipment due to its small size and inexpensive cost. To verify the simulation findings, a model of the proposed antenna is created and monitored using PIN diode switches. The measured and anticipated results for the recommended reconfigurable antenna are satisfactory.

In this paper research has been conducted by varying the internal design of the pipes that are used in the compact air to air heat exchanger to see if the addition of turbulizers in the internal section can result in an improvement in the ΔT at the exit of the pipe. We are also looking at the internal flow characteristics of the air inside the heat exchanger pipes. The drop in pressure at the exit of the pipes because of the addition of the turbulizers has also been investigated. All these analysis have been performed using the commercial software package ANSYS CFX and the results are presented in this paper.

Detecting concept drift by mining data stream is essentially based on two parameters - (a) the window length for observing the data, and (b) the threshold for the difference in certain properties of the data observed to confirm the drift. Efforts are mostly focused on the evaluation the statistical properties or building models using the data in the window. Less focus has been given in arriving at the size of the window length. This paper presents a Fourier analysis based mechanism to determine the window length and also presents a simple but novel algorithm for drift detection. The work is termed as Fourier Inspired Windows for Concept Drift detection (FIWCD). Fourier-inspired window slides over the stream till no drift are suspected and model parameters are gradually updated as and when required. Once a drift is suspected, the trend is observed and new model parameters are computed for the transitory phase. The transitory model and previous concept model are compared to confirm or reject the drift. Performance of proposed drift detection technique has also been compared with two popular drift detection techniques namely, Change Point Detection and Hypothesis Testing. Experiment with three commonly used public data sets reflects that FIWCD exhibits better resemblance to the ground truth.

Eye contact is the first step to understand visual focus in a subject. However, in juveniles diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder, it has been observed that visual focus is not very thorough due to their increased sensory seeking impulsiveness. Eye tracking has been in use previously to determine the Visual Focus of Attention to understand eye gaze of the subject. The proposed system is an objective test for eye gaze tracking, while the juvenile is subjected to visual prompts on the screen. Using this method of study, it is possible to maintain a continued track of the subject’s visual focus. We aim to observe the improvement in visual focus after the prescribed Sensory Seeking Intervention Therapy. The accuracy and response latency of the subjects are studied before and after intervention therapy, over a period of 2 weeks. The study includes n=6 autistic juveniles, with varying levels of gaze aversion, (male n=5 and female n=1) and severity of autism ranges from moderate to severe. The mean age of the subjects being 5 years. The progress in the participants‟ eye gaze showed significant improvement with sensory seeking therapy.
