The interplay between strong correlations and topology can lead to the emergence of intriguing quantum states of matter. One well-known example is the fractional quantum Hall effect, where exotic electron fluids with fractionally charged excitations form in partially filled Landau levels. The emergence of topological moiré flat bands provides exciting opportunities to realize the lattice analogs of both the integer and fractional quantum Hall effects without the need for an external magnetic field. These effects are known as the integer and fractional quantum anomalous Hall (IQAH and FQAH) effects. Here, we present direct transport evidence of the existence of both IQAH and FQAH effects in small-angle-twisted bilayer MoTe2. At zero magnetic field, we observe well-quantized Hall resistance of h/e2 around moiré filling factor ν=−1 (corresponding to one hole per moiré unit cell), and nearly quantized Hall resistance of 3h/2e2 around ν=−2/3, respectively. Concomitantly, the longitudinal resistance exhibits distinct minima around ν=−1 and −2/3. The application of an electric field induces topological quantum phase transition from the IQAH state to a charge transfer insulator at ν=−1, and from the FQAH state to a topologically trivial correlated insulator, further transitioning to a metallic state at ν=−2/3. Our study paves the way for the investigation of fractionally charged excitations and anyonic statistics at zero magnetic field based on semiconductor moiré materials.

FPGA implementation of canny edge detection algorithm for X-ray images

In the domain of medical imaging, X-ray imaging is the most frequent and commonly used technique for diagnosing diseases of various types. So, quick and exact diagnosis can be critical to the success of any given treatment. For this purpose a hardware accelerator for Canny edge detection algorithm is presented in this work with its implementation on Spartan (3E-XC3S1600) kit and programmed using VHDL. To simplify the hardware implementation some assumptions are made on the traditional algorithm like the intermediate values of Canny operator are calculated with integer values instead of floating point or fixed point values so that the available resources of (Spartan 3E-XC3S1600) platform are sufficient for this purpose in terms of the use of BLOCK RAMs. Also a modified 18-bit VGA port is built for the purpose of displaying the original and result images clearly and accurately instead of the original 3-bit VGA port available on the used Spartan3E kits. A speedup of about were achieved with the proposed design over the software implementation using Mat-Lab on the art personal computer with a maximum area occupation 100%. Although Canny operator produces best results when compared with other edge detection operators because Canny yields thin lines for its edges by using non-maximal suppression, but this is influence on the silicon area occupation.

The health status of inpatients is actively monitored by manual or wireless faithful (Wi-Fi) equipment. The Wi-Fi system is slow in speed due to the more successful approach. Light Fidelity (Li-Fi) sets the locations wherever Wi-Fi is applicable with increased high bandwidth wirelessly routers. Besides the pace element, in medical applications Li-Fi is better suited for the monitoring of patients despite the involvement of people with body frequency. This article explains how a hospital network Li-Fi uses appropriate sensors to tracked clinical variables, such as temperature, pressure, pulse, glucose and respiratory issues. The gathered sensors are transported to the plug, evaluated and transmitted to the monitor screen using the microcomputer in plots. In the roof and/or fence in the integrity of the local area network, all existing light bulbs should be changed by Li-Fi-compatible bombs. Emergency solutions are compatible with the latest smart phones.

Speaker recognition entrust to the procedure of identifying person voice using acoustic characteristics *** are generally applied in voice verification, security and surveillance and human identity. In the voiceidentification method, removing special features from voice statement is avitalwork to as matter of fact identify speakers. Different features for voice identification have been lately proposed by researchers. Most previous work on voice recognitionhave make use of pitch, due to their caliber to capture the efficiency of signals. Too many studies have shown the efficiency of acoustic features in properly identifythe voice. Though, the accuracy of these features down on complex speech data's, and so, these features are unsuccessful to properly identify voice. To deal with this problem, this work proposed a novel technique as based on text dependent speaker identification system using an acoustic feature as pitch, intensity and pulse. The conventional statistical method is used to calculate the pitch. In this framework, first of all remove the 65dbof intensity from the whole signal which remove the noise and thereafter obtained absolute voice signal is estimated by praat simulation tooland pitch value of signal and total number of pulses *** the above process mean and standard deviation of the pitch is calculated. In the training stage the voices samples are collected from 16 different persons (male and female) and after analysis is done. Three words “hello”, “up” and “turn on” are used and from each word produce a separate identification rate. In conclusion all the persons are indentified successfully based on the samples.

To mitigate the inspector’s workload and improve the quality of the product, computer vision-based anomaly detection (AD) techniques are gradually deployed in real-world industrial scenarios. Recent anomaly analysis benchmarks progress to generative models. The aim is to model the defect-free distribution so that anomalies can be classified as out-of-distribution samples. Nevertheless, there are two disturbing factors that need researchers and deployers to prioritize: (i) the simplistic prior latent distribution inducing limited expressive capability;(ii) the collapsed mutual-dependent features resulting in poor generalization. In this paper, we propose a novel Patch-wise Wasserstein AutoEncoder (P-WAE) architecture to alleviate those challenges. In particular, a patch-wise variational inference model coupled with solving the jigsaw puzzle is designed, which is a simple yet effective way to increase the expressiveness and complexity of the latent manifold. This alleviates the blurry reconstruction problem. In addition, the Hilbert-Schmidt Independence Criterion (HSIC) bottleneck is introduced to constrain the over-regularization representation. Anomaly detection refers to identifying the observation that deviates from the normal pattern, which has been an active research area in various domains. Recently, the increasing data scale, complexity, and dimension turns the traditional representation and statistical-based outlier detection method into challenging. In this paper, we leverage the generative model in hyperspectral images anomaly detection. The gist is to model the distribution of the normal data, while the out-of-distribution sample can be viewed as the outlier. At first, the variational inference-based anomaly detection methods are investigated. We theoretically and empirically find that they are unstable due to the strong notion of distance (f-divergence) served as the regularization. Secondly, this paper introduces sliced Wasserstein distance, which is a weaker distribution measure compared with f-divergence. However, the number of randomly slicing poses a difficulty to estimate the true distance. In the end, we propose a projected sliced Wasserstein (PSW) autoencoder-based anomaly screening method. In particular, we leverage a computation-friendly eigen-decomposition method to find the principal component as slicing the high-dimensional data. Furthermore, our proposed distance can be calculated with the closed-form, even the prior distribution is not Gaussian. Comprehensive experiments conducted on various real-world hyperspectral anomaly detection benchmarks demonstrate the superior performance of our proposed method. © 2021, CC BY.

Manual code assessment in this modern age is not a feasible way of evaluating student competencies. Relying of random and limited test cases can result in inconsistent conclusions. Neither is it viable nor possible to judge rationally using naive procedures. The online coding platforms existing today are too general for this purpose, so this system is developed distinctively for this purpose. In this system, all the evaluation processes are automated. Thus, creating a trouble- free platform for teachers and a judicious assessment for students.

Air navigation aids infrastructure for civil aviation is one of the key enablers for implementation of new air navigation concept called Performance Based Navigation (PBN), which will allow more efficient use of airspace and, therefore, increase capacity to accommodate increasing air traffic. To implement PBN, the air traffic service route in the designated airspace must be covered with navigation aids infrastructure to provide adequate navigation performance to aircraft operating in such airspace. Coverage of ground-based navigation aids such as Distance Measuring Equipment (DME) depends on the conditions of the terrain around the installation site. To provide sufficient navigation coverage while being cost efficient, the location and number of the navigation aids equipment has to be optimized taking into account terrain geometry, radio propagation, airport location, and existing navigation aids network. For this reason, Geographic Information System (GIS) plays essential role in determining optimal network of navigation aids equipment. In this work, GIS platform for navigation aids infrastructure assessment and optimization is developed. The proposed platform enables cooperation between air navigation service provider and airspace users. The main goal is to support navigation aids planning with integrated and flexible tool. The platform is integrated with terrain and obstacle database, navigation aids database, and aeronautical information database (i.e. airspace boundary, air traffic services route, approach and departure procedures.). It is able to assess coverage of existing navigation aids network in 3-dimension in order to detect the coverage gaps. It also identifies obstructing obstacles or terrain. In addition, it optimizes number of additional equipment and associated installation site to satisfy required navigation performance. Cloud Storage has become a major part of the smartphone industry. Every single smartphone user is using one cloud or the other to store their data to free up space on their smartphones that come with limited storage. Almost all the major smartphone companies are introducing their own cloud service. The users tend to store data on the cloud storage available for their device. It has become difficult for the users to migrate their data from one cloud to another when they change their phone without wasting their time and resources. Currently the users tend to download data from the first cloud to their device, transfer the data to the new device and then upload the data to the second cloud, which is tedious and time consuming. In order to solve this problem, we plan to introduce an easy and time saving method that helps in transferring the data between different cloud storages and build an authentication and session key agreements for mutual trust which is based on algorithm called elliptic curve cryptography without certification for peer-peer cloud servers. This method assists in developing trust between the 2 cloud storages and build a foundation for data migration from different cloud service providers.

Text mining for identification of anti-tubercular compounds present in plants of India and in-silico ADMET prediction of phytochemicals

Tuberculosis (TB) is a highly contagious disease and a potent killer. It infects around one-third of the world's population. TB is curable and preventable but extensive and unsupervised use of antibiotics is resulting in the case of drug resistance TB. Therapeutics for tuberculosis take a long time to combat TB and have side effects. Thus, the need for new drugs persists. From ancient times plant-derived chemotherapeutic agents have been used in the treatment of several diseases. Modern biological research depends on access to the biological information encoded in expert-curated databases. It is a difficult task for the biologist to manually curate all the knowledge of the rapidly growing biological literature. The computer-assisted curation helps the efficiency of the literature search through the text mining approach. The present study aims at the text mining of the Indian plants, showing Antitubercular properties, and investigate the pharmacokinetics of compounds present in these plants. PubTator, a web-based system was used for text mining. Total 66 works of literature were found carrying the search terms. Plants having anti-tubercular properties were identified from India by curating PubMed abstracts. The information of phytocompounds was extracted for developing a local library and ADMET analysis. The result of this study could be further used for the development of drugs against tuberculosis.
