A biometric based medical information system for the identification of comorbidity in Covid-19 patients

Medical information System provides the best way to collect patient’s medical information. It helps the doctors to retrieve the patient’s previous medical history very faster and able to provide suitable treatment quickly. To keep medical information of a patient securely is a difficult task. Many MQTT algorithms have been developed to provide security for the patients information. The sensitive medical information of a patient can also be protected by using biometric technology. Internet of Thing (IoT) technology used to send the medical information to the doctor like blood group, BP value, cholesterol level and heart rate level. The proposed system helps to provide the comorbidity details of the Covid-19 infected patient’s to doctors mobile phone. It also takes the current health details of the patients like temperature, respiratory rate and heart beat rate. By considering the past and present medical data of the Covid-19 patients , this system recommends the type of treatment to be given for Covid-19 infected patients.

Iterative learning control can be applied to systems that repeatedly execute the same finite duration task. The distinguishing feature of this form of control action is that all data generated on a previous execution of the task is available to compute the control action for the next execution. This paper uses the 2D systems setting to design a dynamic controller, with particular emphasis on enhancing the controller with filters to suppress noise build up from execution to execution. The design is experimentally validated on a 3D crane laboratory based facility.

Depression, anxiety, and stress are common psychological disorders that has been suffered by human. Since the number of sufferer has been increasing fast, recently, it becomes important to measure the level of those disorders and offer practical solutions. Usually, psychological disorders are measured by Psychologists using Depression Anxiety Stress Scale (DASS) – 21 form which consists of 21 questionnaires that should be filled, honestly. However this type of measurement is not attractive, time consuming, boring, and making the psychological disorders even worse. This research aims to develop a mobile, fast response, and interactive measurement tool of psychological disorders, in android based smart phones. Waterfall method which consists of system analysis, design, implementation, and testing is chosen to develop this application software. The measurement is based on the DASS-21 calculation scale to define the level of depression, anxiety, and stress. Black-box testing shows that the developed application software runs as expected. Validation result of the psychological disorder level which was examined by comparing it to the result from the test data demonstrates high accuracy.

The "Zeeman effect" offers unique opportunities for magnetic manipulation of the spin degree of freedom (DOF). Recently, valley Zeeman splitting, referring to the lifting of valley degeneracy, has been demonstrated in two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) at liquid helium temperature. However, to realize the practical applications of valley pseudospins, the valley DOF must be controllable by a magnetic field at room temperature, which remains a significant challenge. Magnetic doping in TMDs can enhance the Zeeman splitting, however, to achieve this experimentally is not easy. Here, we report unambiguous magnetic manipulation of valley Zeeman splitting at 300 K (geff = -6.4) and 10 K (geff = -11) in a CVD-grown Fe-doped MoS2 monolayer;the effective Landé geff factor can be tuned to -20.7 by increasing the Fe dopant concentration, which represents an approximately fivefold enhancement as compared to undoped MoS2. Our measurements and calculations reveal that the enhanced splitting and geff factors are due to the Heisenberg exchange interaction of the localized magnetic moments (Fe 3d electrons) with MoS2 through the d-orbital hybridization. The vast majority of the software developers use the agile framework for project management. Agile approach provides more flexibility and adaption to the changes against classic software development approach. The key methodology of agile approach represents the scrum. The core of scrum management forms sprint, which represents a time shift activity and envelops all other events of scrum. The outcome of the sprint should be the increment in development of the project, which is possible to submit to the customers or the users. The paper maps the possibilities of visualization of the course of individual sprints at everyday meetings of the research team (stand up meetings), which have a decisive influence on the quality of communication of the research team and the overall success of the project. © 2019 VSB-Technical University of Ostrava. Proof-of-Principle Experimental Demonstration of Twin-Field Type Quantum Key Distribution

The twin-field (TF) quantum key distribution (QKD) protocol and its variants are highly attractive because they can beat the well-known fundamental limit of the secret key rate for point-to-point QKD without quantum repeaters (repeaterless bound). In this Letter, we perform a proof-of-principle experimental demonstration of TFQKD based on the protocol proposed by Curty, Azuma, and Lo, which removes the need for postselection on the matching of a global phase from the original TFQKD scheme and can deliver a high secret key rate. Furthermore, we employ a Sagnac loop structure to help overcome the major difficulty in the practical implementation of TFQKD, namely, the need to stabilize the phase of the quantum state over kilometers of fiber. As a proof-of-principle demonstration, the estimated secure key rate from our experimental TFQKD data at the high loss region surpasses the repeaterless bound of QKD with current technology.

Effect of Cd2+ ions on AC conductivity of stearic acid metal-insulator-semiconductor diode

We report on observations of the effect of Cd2+ ions on the AC electrical properties of stearic acid (SA) thin films in metal-insulator-semiconductor (MIS) diode-like structure. The insulating thin film was fabricated using 40-layers Langmuir-Blodgett (LB) films of SA containing Cd2+ ions on hydrophobic n-type silicon (n-Si) substrate. Frequency- dependent capacitance (C-f) and conductance (G/ω-f) characteristics of the Al/SA+Cd2+/Si MIS structure were investigated in dark at room temperature with frequency ranges from 80 kHz to 1 MHz. The capacitance for LB film of stearic acid with Cd2+ ions showed almost no frequency dependence which translated into uniform dielectric value. However, the film AC conductivity shown an exponential frequency-dependent behavior at a signal frequency higher than 100 kHz. The metal-insulator contact resistance is believed to be dominant in the high-frequency range.

The last two decades has seen quantum thermodynamics become a well established field of research in its own right. In that time, it has demonstrated a remarkably broad applicability, ranging from providing foundational advances in the understanding of how thermodynamic principles apply at the nano-scale and in the presence of quantum coherence, to providing a guiding framework for the development of efficient quantum devices. Exquisite levels of control have allowed state-of-the-art experimental platforms to explore energetics and thermodynamics at the smallest scales which has in turn helped to drive theoretical advances. This Roadmap provides an overview of the recent developments across many of the field’s sub-disciplines, assessing the key challenges and future prospects, providing a guide for its near term progress.
