Student procrastination analysis in virtual learning environments

With the increase in Massive Open Online Courses (MOOC) and Virtual Learning Environments (VLE), a general intuition about the student performance degradation is always attributed to the incorporation of technology in academic system. Procrastination is one of the perennial challenges faced by students that affects the overall academic performance. computer-based learning environments have enhanced the overall academic system, but it sometimes a challenge for students to stick to assigned tasks and avoid procrastination. This is a comprehensive study conducted to uncover students’ behavior based on their interactions with the VLE. information of students from versatile educational arenas including science, technology, engineering, mathematics, and social sciences have been included to gain understanding of student behavior to classify student behavior as probable to procrastinate or not. The study uses different unsupervised machine learning techniques including k-means, mini-batch k-means, agglomerative and hierarchical clustering to identify the correlations. Astonishing facts revealed by the study, representing little to absolutely no correlation between the final scores and the activities performed while interacting with the computer-based learning environments. The study also emphasizes on the need of detailed logs of students’ activity and properly annotated data to get valued insights for procrastination and academic performance of an individual, which would be helpful to identify students at risk of adverse academic performances and would lead to assist such students to improve their performance before off-track.

mathematics can be used to introduce and explain events and occurrences that have a firmly rooted foundation of logic. This article is created to explain a simple mathematical trick related to cryptanalysis that has existed and allows us to improve upon it by modifying it with logic derived from computer coding and communications. Using error correction based on Hamming code, it is possible to obtain a value between 0-15 by answering yes or no questions about the provided cards. This paper will also explain how to add more cards to discover even a lie immediately and without error.

Email plays an essential role in communication and its flexibility, simplicity, diversified types, and low cost of information in the modern world. Therefore handling out a large volume of emails takes are mark able amount of human power and time. To quickly extract the named entities from an email requires an automated solution. So we proposed a tool to extract named entities from emails. This solution incorporates the latest technologies like NLP (Natural Language Processing) and IR (information Retrieval). This would perform named entities extraction of email automatically organizes and notifies the user. The proposed mechanism can be used in many organizations. Named Entity Recognition (NER) will be a vital language processing tool for information retrieval from texts like newspapers, blogs, and emails. NER performs the classification of words and sensing the expression of text from unstructured data. Spa Cy may be a free, open-source python library for advanced language Processing. It is well known for production use and helps build the system that performs understanding of a text. It helps in information extraction, understanding the plans, and preprocesses the text for deep learning.

We report the highest-redshift detection of [O I] 63 µm from a luminous quasar, J2054-0005, at z = 6.04 based on the Atacama Large Millimeter/sub-millimeter Array Band 9 observations. The [O I] 63 µm line luminosity is (4.5 ± 1.5) × 109 L☉, corresponding to the [O I] 63 µm-to-far-infrared luminosity ratio of ≈ 6.7 × 10−4, which is consistent with the value obtained in the local universe. Remarkably, [O I] 63 µm is as bright as [C II] 158 µm, resulting in the [O I]-to-[C II] line luminosity ratio of 1.3 ± 0.5. Based on a careful comparison of the luminosity ratios of [O I] 63 µm, [C II] 158 µm, and dust continuum emission to models of photo-dissociation regions, we find that J2054-0005 has a gas density log(nH/cm−3)= 3.7 ± 0.3 and an incident far-ultraviolet radiation field of log(G/G0) = 3.0 ± 0.1, showing that [O I] 63 µm serves as an important coolant of the dense and warm gas in J2054-0005. A close examination of the [O I] and [C II] line profiles suggests that the [O I] line may be partially self-absorbed, however deeper observations are needed to verify this conclusion. Regardless, the gas density and incident radiation field are in a broad agreement with the values obtained in nearby star-forming galaxies and objects with [O I] 63 µm observations at z = 1 − 3 with the Herschel Space Observatory. These results demonstrate the power of ALMA high-frequency observations targeting [O I] 63 µm to examine the properties of photo-dissociation regions in high-redshift galaxies. © 2024, CC0.

The objective of this work is to present some aspects of the phase space representation of quantum mechanics on the Euclidean Motion Group of rank three. In particular, the main contribution of this paper is the statement and proof of fundamental formula relating the Weyl transform for the group and the Wigner functions on the group, given by 〈 F1|WkF2 〉=∫R3∫so(3)k(c,C)WE(3)(F1,F2)dc dC . Here, Wk is the Weyl transform of the function k on E(3) and WE(3) is the Wigner transform. Thus, the various phase space objects such as the Wigner transform and the Weyl transform are also explicitly formulated on the Euclidean Motion Group.

Due to their autonomous operation, high mobility, and real-time communication capabilities, 6G-supported Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (6G-UAVs) (i.e., drones) are increasingly being utilized to enhance data collection and management in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITSs). Despite their manifold benefits, 6G-supported UAV-based ITS (6G-U-ITS) faces unique security challenges beyond conventional cyber and physical threats. These include real-time authentication, impersonation attacks, physical tampering or cloning and protection against identity spoofing in highly dynamic environments. For instance, an attacker may steal a drone and use its identity to send authenticated malicious messages to the ITS, causing road accidents. Therefore, a secure authentication scheme must ensure resilience against UAV identity theft and unauthorized access while maintaining low-latency and computational efficiency to support the stringent real-time security requirements of 6G-U-ITS. Existing authentication schemes are not specifically designed to address these challenges, making it imperative to develop a lightweight and robust authentication mechanism tailored for 6G-U-ITS. Moreover, most of the existing protocols are vulnerable to physical tampering and impersonation attacks and also require high computation overhead. In this paper, to mitigate these limitations and satisfy the aforementioned requirements, we propose a secure access control protocol for 6G-U-ITS. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first security solution in the literature that can achieve security against UAVs physical attacks. Furthermore, we justify the robustness of the designed protocol against potential attacks through detailed formal and informal security assessment. Via testbed experiments, we show that our protocol achieves 20.66% and 22.82% higher efficiency on communication and computation overhead, respectively, compared to other contemporary competing protocols. © 2025 Elsevier Inc.

A Chatbot is a computer program which enables us to make communication through our text or voice and get reply through Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology. A chatbot can be used in different applications like gaming, customer service and e-commerce site. Chatbots are developed to interact with received messages automatically presenting the experience of human-to-human interaction in digital mode. Chatbots provide responses to messages containing keywords that are matched using machine learning technique to adapt the responses to fit the respective situations. A developing number of hospitals, private health centers, and medical clinics currently utilize Chatbots on their internet sites. These chatbots connect with the potential patients to visit the location of the medical centers, to help themselves discovering the right specialists for their treatment, to book appointments with the doctors, and to get access to the right treatment for cure. Using AI in a domain where human lives have the chances of becoming a question brings up and act as replacement to the issues of the need to assign a human staff to a task. This theoretical analysis AI based healthcare chatbot system will help hospitals to offer healthcare online support 24 x 7, answering intense as well as general queries appropriately.

We propose a family of multivalue collocation methods for the numerical solution of differential problems, potentially candidate to be stiff. For this reason, the suggested numerical schemes have strong stability properties, such as A-stability. Moreover, in order to obtain an efficient implementation, it is desirable to impose the conditions gaining a structured coefficient matrix of the nonlinear system for the computation of the internal stages. The construction of these methods has been presented and the properties of the resulting formulae have been verified experimentally.
