Breast cancer is a malignant tumor with a high mortality rate among women. Therefore, it is necessary to develop novel therapies to effectively treat this disease. In this study, iron selenide nanorods (FeSe2 NRs) were designed for use in magnetic hyperthermic, photothermal, and chemodynamic therapy (MHT/PTT/CDT) for breast cancer. To illustrate their efficacy, FeSe2 NRs were modified with the chemotherapeutic agent methotrexate (MTX). MTX-modified FeSe2 (FeSe2-MTX) exhibited excellent controlled drug release properties. Fe2+ released from FeSe2 NRs induced the release of •OH from H2O2 via a Fenton/Fenton-like reaction, enhancing the efficacy of CDT. Under alternating magnetic field (AMF) stimulation and 808 nm laser irradiation, FeSe2-MTX exerted potent hyperthermic and photothermal effects by suppressing tumor growth in a breast cancer nude mouse model. In addition, FeSe2 NRs can be used for magnetic resonance imaging in vivo by incorporating their superparamagnetic characteristics into a single nanomaterial. Overall, we presented a novel technique for the precise delivery of functional nanosystems to tumors that can enhance the efficacy of breast cancer treatment. © 2024 The Authors. In light of the recent data for B¯(s) → D((s∗))P and B¯(s) → D(s)V decays, we perform a model-independent phenomenological analysis in the presence of quasi-elastic rescattering. With the Wilson coefficients including contributions beyond the standard model, lifetimes of B meson as well as the Bd0 −B¯d0 mixing are investigated for clarifying correlations among the observables. We show that parameter regions for quasi-elastic rescattering, the size of color-suppressed tree amplitudes and new physics are constrained due to the lifetime data. As a consequence, it is revealed that this scenario can be testable by the future LHCb measurement of width difference in Bd0 − B¯d0 mixing and semi-leptonic CP asymmetry. © 2024, CC BY.

To gain a holistic approach for parental help-seeking behavior and ASD diagnosis, this study aimed to use two national birth cohort study datasets to investigate the pathway relationship between personal and social/environmental factors, including maternal perceived childcare pressure, maternal level of education, urbanization at age 3, and the chance of receiving a autism spectrum disorder (ASD) diagnosis at when children are aged 5.5 years (2.5 years later). The 2003 Taiwan Birth Cohort Pilot Study (TBCS-p; N = 1618) and 2005 Taiwan Birth Cohort Study (TBCS; N = 19,183) datasets were used. The TBCS-p and TBCS both showed similar prevalence of ASD (0.3-0.4%). Children with ASD characteristics, as measured using the Modified Checklist of Autism in Toddlers, had 8.27-18.20 times increased likelihood of receiving ASD diagnosis [TBCS confidence interval (CF) of 5.32-12.86; TBCS-p CF of 2.03-163.46]. Pathway analysis showed that, although having a mother with higher education or who lived in a city decreased the chance for ASD diagnosis, the interactive effect of a maternal higher level of education and living in a city led to an increased likelihood for ASD diagnosis. Additionally, mothers who perceived a higher level of childcare pressure were also more likely to seek medical assistance and diagnosis. Access to healthcare (living in the city), maternal level of awareness (level of education), and perceived childcare pressure are all factors that influence help-seeking behavior and diagnosis. Therefore, medical professionals should pay special attention to the developmental condition of children in underserved backgrounds and rural areas to prevent delayed diagnosis.

Length of the wet seasons and its effect on food crop productivity (rice, corn, and soybean)

Food crop production is vulnerable to shift in the annual wet season. This study was conducted in Situbondo Regency from the year 2010 up to 2019. Rainfall data of the wet (WS) and the dry season (DS) was analyzed for correlation to food crop production in each sub-district. Our results showed that from the 17 sub-districts studied, 11 sub-districts experienced a wet season shift 0.08 - 4.45% longer and affected the productivity average of rice from 69.5 to 57.4 ku/ha, corn 43.2 ku/ha to 57.5 ku/ha, and soybeans from 8.1 ku/ha, to 14.1 ku/ha. El-Nino significantly reduced rice productivity up to 6.33% in 14 sub-districts but did not affect the other three affected El-Nino sub-districts.

The implementation of mathematical e-learning assisted by storyboard

The purpose of this research was to describe the implementation of mathematical e-learning assisted by storyboard which was oriented towards students learning achievement. The types of this research were descriptive quantitative research. This research was conducted on 25 students of junior high school in Yogyakarta. Data collection techniques were tests and questionnaires. The results of this research indicated that the data obtained regarding student learning achievement from 25 students, the highest student learning achievement got a score of 100. The lowest was 50 with an average student learning achievement was 86.5, it was included in the high criteria, where 88% of the learning achievement obtained by students were scattered in the medium, high, and very high categories. Then, based on data obtained from the questionnaire responses of students during the e-learning that assisted by storyboard showed that 100% of students' responses were scattered in the medium, high, and very high categories. The result showed that storyboard media had a positive influence on mathematical e- learning. Therefore, storyboard can be utilized to support mathematics e-learning and increase the student motivation in learning activities.

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the use of Phet simulation applications on smartphones Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning models of students' learning independence and the different effects of learning independence. The type of research applied was quasi experiment. Research design used Non-equivalent Control Group Design. The population in this study was all students of class X of MAN 3 Sleman which was divided into 8 classes. The sampling technique used cluster purposive sampling. Both classes are given treatment with the Problem Based Learning model assisted by the Phet application which was installed on each student's smartphone. The average level of learning independence of students in the modelling class after they participated in learning activities included in the good category, and in the implementation, class included in the good category. The significance level shows the numbers in the effective category. So it can be stated that the learning independence questionnaire of both classes was effective, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning model assisted by the Phets application is effective in terms of the achievement of the learning independence of students in class X of MAN 3 Sleman in the academic year 2017/2018. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

Mobile game as a media learning mathematics in the Covid-19 pandemic

The pandemic covid-19 has brought a change in the order of life, including the learning process. Technology becomes indispensable to accelerate the process of learning during the pandemic. One of the technology-based media that can be used is a mobile game. The purpose of this study is to explain why mobile game can be a medium for learning mathematics during the covid-19 pandemic based on the study of theory and results from previous research. The method used is a literature review. Data was obtained from scientific journals and books that have been published in reputable publishers, with a total of 25 papers. The results show that mobile game can be a medium for learning mathematics during the covid-19 pandemic because "cause and effect" of the advantage of mobile games and learning constraints during covid-19 pandemic.

Battery system design and development is prioritizing environmentally friendly recycling processes to ensure a sustainable future for our planet. The reuse of active materials in Li-ion batteries is critical for this goal. Herein, we investigated the electrochemical performance of Li3VO4 (LVO) anode with pectin as a binder. Our Li-ion half-cells showed stable capacity of 230 mAh g−1 at a current density of 0.02 A g−1 after 100 cycles. In addition, we observed a novel enhanced specific capacity of 400 mAh g−1 during delithiation at a high current density of 1 A g−1, which did not occur during lithiation. This higher capacity was can be attributed to the pseudocapacitive lithium storage behavior in the LVO-pectin electrode, as identified by CV and EIS analyses. The heterostructure of LVO-pectin resulted in an interfacial surface charge that contributed to the capacity, as demonstrated by impedance spectroscopy in conjunction with the distribution of relaxation times. The utilization of pectin as an eco-friendly binder demonstrated nearly 90 % material recovery and 100 % capability for subsequent re-lithiation, indicating recyclability. Furthermore, the pseudocapacitive effect becomes increasingly dominant in regenerated LVO-pectin cells. These results exemplify a promising approach towards the development of environmentally friendly Li-ion batteries with high energy and power density. © 2023 Elsevier Ltd

Low energy availability refers to a state where the body cannot provide sufficient energy to maintain essential physiological functions due to excessive exercise and inadequate energy intake. In athletes, low energy availability impairs bone parameters but may assist muscle adaptation from endurance training. This study was conducted to explore the effect of the combination of running and energy restriction (ER) on bone parameters and muscular endurance adaptations in young female rats. Seven-weeks-old female rats were divided into four groups: sedentary and feeding (AL); voluntary wheel running and AL; sedentary and ER; and voluntary wheel running and ER. The experimental period was 11.5 weeks. The ER groups were fed a 28% restricted diet compared with the sedentary and AL group. Our results demonstrated that the combination of running and ER decreased the body weight, uterus weight, plantaris and soleus muscle weight, bone mineral density of femur, tibia, and lumbar, and trabecular number of tibia. However, running increased the cross-sectional area (CSA) of type I and IIA fibers and the mitochondrial proteins levels in plantaris muscle under both AL and ER conditions. In the soleus muscle, running exerted no significant main effects on the transition to the myofiber type. ER did not affect the transition to the myofiber type and the mitochondrial protein levels in plantaris and soleus muscles. Our study reveals that the combination of running and ER impairs bone parameters; however, running induces endurance adaptations of plantaris muscle under both AL and ER conditions in young female rats.

Mathematics is a very important lesson to be taught. Mathematics learning is a learning that cannot be separated from the real world. Many methods and approaches to learning are used to better interpret mathematical concepts. One of the lessons that can connect mathematics material with reality is contextual learning. Contextual learning is considered to be effective in use because of its principles that lead students to construct and find their understanding of a mathematical concept. Of course, a good lesson is followed by an appropriate assessment. Authentic Assessment is an assessment related to contextual learning because it is a part of contextual learning. The assessment is carried out for students to assess students’ abilities during the learning process. The purpose of this study is to describe (1) contextual learning, (2) its application to mathematics as well (3) assessments used in contextual learning in mathematics. The description of the assessment is described in the following literature review article.
