Development of conceptual-level architecture vision for real estate sector using TOGAF ADM 9.1 framework

This paper presents the development of a conceptual-level architecture vision used for the real estate sector. In Enterprise Architecture Planning (EAP), conceptual-level architecture vision may also be referred to as architecture vision planning. Aiming to streamline the business processes, organizations need information and communication technology support. Conceptual-level architecture vision is an early and crucial stage in the development of integrated information and communication technology. We adopt eleven steps proposed by TOGAF ADM 9.1 framework in performing the conceptual-level architecture vision for the real estate sector. For gathering information, we conduct some direct observations, in-depth interviews, and careful document examination. In every stage, we confirm the results to the relevant parties until they are appropriate and approved. This research produces a stakeholder map matrix, value chain diagram, and solution concepts diagram. All the resulting work products are summarized in a statement of architecture work, which describes the architecture project description and scope, an overview of architecture vision, and an architecture project plan and schedule. The results of conceptual-level architecture vision have been confirmed and obtained continuous feedback from stakeholders using questionnaires. The results of this study could be the initial stage of the enterprise architecture blueprint for the real estate sector.

A systematic literature review of movie recommender systems for movie streaming service

The era of information and communication technology makes the information available on the internet growing rapidly. Recommender systems are one of the technologies that are widely used to filter information to handle the huge of information. One of the developing information is film. The increasing number of films released every year has led to the development of applications that offer movie streaming services such as Netflix, Yiu, Disney Hotstar, etc. Therefore, movie recommender systems technology is needed to facilitate and provide a good experience when users use these services. The purpose of this study is to conduct a systematic Literature Review (SLR) to analyze methods against the algorithm developed in building a movie recommender system. SLR method consists of three stages, namely, planning, conducting, and reporting processes. Studies published from 2010 to 2020 were considered. There were 21 main studies in which the collaborative filtering method was used in 16 studies, knowledge-based filtering was used in 2 studies, and hybrid filtering method was used in 3 studies. The results of the SLR process can be concluded that there are advantages and disadvantages to each method developed in building the movie recommender system. However, the model-based collaborative filtering method is one method that can minimize cold start, data sparsity, and scalability problems.

BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) is a standard business process model that is accepted both nationally and internationally. The class diagram is a UML diagram that describes the classes in a system and their relationship between one class and another. As part of the process innovation, this research proposes a generator system that can be time-efficient in creating complex Class Diagrams with BPMN and Database. This research identifies and analyzes every element of BPMN (XPDFL file) and Database (XML file) relevant to making a Class Diagram. While the output of the system is a class diagram that displays classes, attributes contained, methods used, and relations between classes. Evaluating the performance of the Generator system was done by comparing and assessing the class diagrams generated by the system with class diagrams designed by experts. The confusion matrix method was used to measure the performance of the Generator system. The Generator system achieved an accuracy of 97.4%, which means that this proposed system’s performance is good.

One of the significant indicators in the Education field is having a good experience from outside the campus. The student experience is reflected in three main factors: thoughts, feelings, and skills. Students Creativity program (PKM) is a form of the implementation of the Threefold Mission of Higher Education (Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi). PKM has an effort to grow, accommodate, and realize students' creative and innovative ideas. The use of information technology that is said to be a supporting factor in running business processes can improve effective and efficient performance, one of which is the use of computerized websites in PKM activities at Telkom Institute of Technology Purwokerto. The use of a website that is new still needs a lot of development. There are still some functions that have not run as they should be, such as the assessment process on the website that is still semi-manual. Based on these problems, so that the website can run optimally, it is necessary to evaluate the feasibility of the PKM system used by end users at Telkom Institute of Technology Purwokerto. The test was conducted using the system Usability Scale (SUS) method consisting of 10 statement items in the form of questionnaires with the main focus on measuring the feasibility level of the website involving respondents as end-users. The results showed that the validity test is said to be valid. Meanwhile, the reliability test is said to be reliable with a score of 63,308. This result can be categorized OK with grade scale D. The result shows that the research can be developed by updating the content or interface of the system to be more consistent and conducting demonstrations or socialization on how to use the system before users access the system.

Expert system for digital single lens reflex (DSLR) camera recommendation using forward chaining and certainty factor

The advance of technology in the digital era has enabled the availability of numerous Digital Single Lens Reflex (DSLR) camera products in the market. However, this condition makes choosing a DSLR camera that matches consumer’s preferences difficult. This paper proposes an expert system to help recommend suitable DSLR cameras using Forward Chaining and Certainty Factor. Forward Chaining was implemented to infer a list of recommended DSLR camera and then, Certainty Factor was calculated to rank the DSLR camera recommendation list according to consumer’s predefined specification priority. The evaluation was carried out using questionnaires to measure user’s satisfaction towards the recommendation result and then represented in Mean Opinion Score (MOS) value. The evaluation produced a MOS value of 3.5 out of 4, proving that the expert system could perform relevant recommendations.

Handwriting prediction using the support vector machine method in web-based applications

Current technological advances have progressively encouraged individuals to use web-based applications. To determine the owner of a handwriting, one of the manual methods is generally done by people. And it can be done by a web application to find out the person’s handwriting. The Support Vector Machine (SVM) Method is a strategy of artificial intelligence used to recognize handwriting. This study intends to create a handwriting recognition framework using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) Method on a web-based application, with extraction features that are important as the basis for describing and characterizing handwritten images. The results obtained from predictions using the Support Vector Machine are by using 16 data and there are 80 tests carried out in total. The results obtained indicate that there are 25 incorrect prediction tests and 55 correct prediction tests so that the level of accuracy obtained is 68.75%.

The impact of expectation confirmation, technology compatibility, and customer’s acceptance on e-wallet continuance intention

The adoption of e-wallet service is on the rise among Indonesian customers. People use e-wallet because it is convenient, more secured, and offers advantages over physical cash. In line with the growth of e-wallet adoption, the number of e-wallet services in Indonesia has increased to more than 50 providers in 2020. This situation leads to a competitive market in e-wallet service. This study examines key factors affecting customer satisfaction and continuance intention to use e-wallet services and applications based on the integration of Diffusion of Innovations (DOI) theory, Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), and Expectation-Confirmation Theory (ECT). The data collected from 663 participants were analyzed based on structural equation modeling partial least square. The results show that confirmation, perceived ease of use, compatibility, and trialability have positive impacts on customer satisfaction, and perceived usefulness, satisfaction, and habit contribute to continuance intention on e-wallet. In addition, customers prioritize security over ease of use when using e-wallet and consider it part of e-wallet usefulness. Based on findings, this study recommends strategies to maintain customer’s satisfaction and to increase continuance intention, such as security prioritization on e-wallet, a customized promotion for each customer, application update based on customer’s feedbacks, and market expansion to include small and medium enterprises (SMEs).

Public health on social media: Using Instagram posts for investigating dengue hemorrhagic fever in Indonesia

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF), an acute capillary leak syndrome caused by dengue virus, is one of the major public health problems in Indonesia. Several major DHF outbreaks have occurred, and the incidence rate has increased from year to year. The increasing use of social media for health-related activities and the geolocation social media data can be leveraged to enhance the current surveillance system for controlling communicable diseases, including DHF. This study explores Instagram, one of the most popular social media in Indonesia, to analyze posts about DHF toward improving the surveillance system. We extract Instagram posts in 2017 - 2018 with geolocation and date-time value, that contained one or more DHF keywords in Indonesian language (i.e., demam berdarah dengue, demam berdarah, dengue, Aides aegypti, and fogging), resulting in 665 posts in dataset 2017 and 976 in dataset 2018. The preprocessing of the dataset includes tokenization, word normalization, stop word removal, stemming, and building the term-document matrix. The training dataset is labeled into news, education and information, and other classes, and the K- nearest neighbors (KNN) is applied to classify the DHF posts. The accuracy of the KNN classifier is 71% for the 2017 dataset and 77% for the 2018 dataset. For the deployment, we perform spatial analysis and compare the results with the actual DHF cases from the Ministry of Health of Indonesia. The spatial analysis results report that 17 provinces reveal similar changes between the number of DHF posts on Instagram and the number of actual cases from 2017 to 2018, while 17 other provinces reveal the opposing changes. The results and findings of this study show that Instagram posts may contribute to enhance the current surveillance system. For example, the frequency of Instagram posts and its sharp increase may indicate unusual events about the DHF situation in a specific province.

To develop a good application, the aspect that needs to be considered is to design a User Experience and User Interface that suits the needs of the users themselves. One of the design methods that can be used is User Centered Design method. This method focuses on designing the user's needs where it aims to provide comfort for the user and provide a relevant interface for the user. The study was conducted in information systems program of Telkom University. The design will then be tested on each lecturer and student in information systems program of Telkom University. This test aims to test whether a design is in accordance with the desired objectives or not. The results of the research the author wants to achieve is to design a user interface and user experience design of a web-based application for a Maiproyek application. After conducting research, the results obtained by the author are usability scores obtained from the *** application. The scores obtained are calculated in the medium category and show that the design of the application tested to each respondent already has a good usability value.

The information system project must be built with the right processes as especially the project management. The Right Management Project will create a good and right product. And also will reach optimal satisfy users. So we must management the project very well. In management project have triple constraints that are scope, time and cost management. In this research manage scope, time and cost of project management plan to develop manufacture information system with study case on a company that manufacture plastic bag because the stakeholder want to know how complete the application will be built and how long it will be take and how much it will be cost to develop manufacture information system. It is done to minimize project failures before start to develop. So the researches focus to manage scope, time and cost of project management to develop manufacture information system. This paper present outputs from our research such as product scope, project scope, work breakdown structure (wbs), project duration which are equipped with predecessor and milestones, Gantt chart tables, as well as project cost estimates.
