To realize the economic optimization dispatch of PSMG (Photovoltaic Storage Micro-grid), considering the stochastic influence of multiple uncertainties, this study formulates a day-ahead optimal dispatching strategy of PSMG with the minimum comprehensive operating cost as the objective function. Firstly, the source-load uncertainty is dealt with by scenario generation using the Monte Carlo method and k-means clustering algorithm. Then the peak shaving ability of the system is enhanced by the introduction of flexible loads, and the scheduling flexibility of the photovoltaic storage system is increased by the integrated demand response increases the scheduling flexibility of the photovoltaic storage system. Finally, simulation results show that the scheduling scheme can prompt the source-load to participate in peak shaving and valley filling at the same time, increase the new energy consumption capacity of the photovoltaic storage micro-grid, and effectively improve the economic and social benefits of the micro-grid.

The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau contains the most abundant clean energy such as hydropower, wind and solar in the world. However, it is very difficult to add overhead transmission lines on the ground due to the complex geographical environment. The large-capacity tunnel cables which is less affected by the earth surface environment, may play an important role on the energy transmission in such area. Based on the cable thermal circuit model, the electrical-magnetic-thermal multiphysics coupling of the cable is modeled in COMSOL Multiphysics. The parameter changes of the material during the temperature rising process, the influence of different ventilation conditions and different current-carrying capacities on the changes of the cable temperature field are quantitatively analyzed. The results show that the proposed model is valid in certain conditions. The research on the current carrying capacity and thermal effect of tunnel cables is of great significance for the transportation and consumption of large-scale clean energy resources.

To realize the dual carbon policy, the goal of energy saving, and emission reduction, it is important to develop ways to better promote the low carbon economic operation of energy systems. Therefore, this research proposes an optimal operation strategy considering the electric-gas-cooling-heat demand response. Considering the demand response of each participant, an integrated energy system model with photovoltaic, wind energy, and traditional grid as energy supply. Also, electric energy, natural gas, cooling, and heating subsystems with co-production are established. With minimizing the overall system operation cost and optimizing environmental protection, the improved particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to solve the multi-constrained objective optimization problem. Finally, the optimized model is tested. The results from this study show that the energy system under cogeneration can find a balance between economy and environmental friendliness, and provide a reference for the subsequent energy supply configuration. © 2022 IEEE.

This paper proposes a novel approach to managing distributed energy resources (DERs) through peer-to-peer (P2P) energy trading among smart homes, incentivizing peers to trade surplus energy to maximize social welfare. The proposed day-ahead demand-side management (DSM) technique considers load prioritization based on users' needs. It utilizes an energy allocation method that incentivizes peers to buy energy at a reduced price and sell energy at a higher price. This method maximizes the time of energy traded to higher-priority loads, followed by lower-priority loads while considering user choice. The proposed method results in an average reduction in energy costs from 14.8% to 2.82% for all consumers and an average increase in revenues from 17.35% to 9.07% for all prosumers compared to the grid and previously proposed studies. The simulation results show significant economic benefits for all market participants, improved community self-sufficiency, and reduced dependence on the main grid. The proposed methodology provides an effective and fair solution for managing DERs through P2P energy trading by prioritizing the load in smart homes, which describes its potential to create a sustainable and efficient energy ecosystem. © 2023, The Authors. To achieve the economic operation of a multi-energy micro grid under multiple uncertain environments, this study introduces a novel two-stage robust scheduling approach, encompassing both day-ahead planning and real-time adjustments. First, the multi-energy micro grid day-ahead economic dispatch model is constructed based on the prediction scenarios, and integrated demand response is considered to increase the flexibility of the system. Afterwards, the strategy is adjusted in the real-time phase, considering the uncertainty of energy production and consumption. The Column-and-Constraint Generation algorithm is employed to resolve the above two-stage issues effectively, and the optimal economic operation strategy of the MEMG is obtained. Finally, a case study demonstrates the economy and robustness of the proposed methodology.

With a high proportion of new energy and power electronic equipment connected to the modern power system, a new type of subsynchronous oscillation (SSO) is triggered, which affects the safe and stable operation of the system. Accurate analysis and identification of the SSO source becomes the key to studying this problem. This article presents a novel method to analyze SSOs. First, multisynchrosqueezing transform is applied to the signal to get the concentrated time-frequency analysis results. Then, the ridge tracking method is utilized to identify and reconstruct the subsynchronous component signals. The method of dissipating energy flow is applied to locate the source and sink of the SSO in the subsynchronous component signals. The performances of the proposed method are verified using electromagnetic transient simulations in a three-wind farms system and a modified IEEE 10-generator 39-bus New England power system. © 1972-2012 IEEE.

Wind and solar energy inverter-based resources (IBRs) has been employed extensively with the aim of carbon neutrality. power systems also make extensive use of power electronic converters, leading to interactions between IBRs and with the grid, causing high frequency oscillation (HFO) problems. It damages equipment and jeopardizes the security of the system. To identify HFO components above 100 Hz, this research use Phasor measurement Unit (PMU) instantaneous value data to determine the HFO associated characteristics. To reduce the influence of spectral leakage and the fence effect, as well as to improve the identification accuracy of the related parameters, this paper adopts the RV self-convolutional window based Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) and the Hanning double-window based all-phase Fast Fourier Transform (apFFT) hybrid algorithm to identify the HFO modal parameters. We take into account the identification accuracy in complex cases, such as non-nominal frequencies, with noise effects and multiple HFO modes. The simulation results show that the proposed method has high identification bandwidth, accuracy and strong flexibility.

In the context of carbon neutrality, the power industry is becoming the main battlefield of carbon emission reduction. However, the low-carbon transformation of energy structure is a complex long-term task, it needs to be analyzed in combination with the actual situation. This paper is based on the microgrid in the grid connection mode, considering microgrid power output and carbon emission constraints. An optimal model is proposed to reduce carbon emission cost, the optimal economic operation, and build a low-carbon scheduling model of a microgrid system. In this paper, the improved multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm is used to solve the problem. Finally, the simulation results verify the effectiveness of the model and the superiority of the improved algorithm.

When a high proportion of renewable energy is connected to the grid, the net load fluctuation can be suppressed by configuring energy storage. However, the current cost of energy storage is high. This paper proposes a bi-level optimization model that takes into account the dynamic allocation of shared energy storage (SES) capacity in response to electric load demand. The upper-layer objective function adopts EO optimization algorithm, which is to maximize the income of the shared energy storage operator (SESO). The lower-layer multi-objective function is to minimize the sum of the operating cost and the net load mean square error of multiple microgrids, which can be classified as the mixed integer linear programming problem. Then, the solution flow of the algorithm is given. Finally, under the constraints of the hierarchical optimization-based model, solving the problem by the CPLEX solver on the MATlab platform. The results demonstrate that the proposed method can allocate optimal capacity and reduce operating costs for microgrids. Simultaneously, this method increases the revenue of SESO and promotes the consumption of renewable energy.

The triangular arrangement of cables has the advantages of good magnetic field balance and compact structure, making it a commonly used arrangement in tunnel power cable lines. Accurate measurement of its current helps to make accurate judgment of the line operation status. However, the tunnel transmission method involves a complex line arrangement in a small space. Therefore, non-contact wide-range current measurement based on magnetic sensors is a better solution. In the face of uncertain magnetic interference in transmission tunnels, the use of magnetic shielding can suppress its effect on magnetic sensors. In this paper, an M-shaped magnetic shield structure is proposed for current measurement in a triangular arrangement with strong magnetic interference at random locations. Then, the thickness, position, axial length, gap width and location of the sensing areas of the structure were investigated. The effectiveness of the structure was verified by finite element analysis methods for measured currents of 200 to 2000 A. The structure was also validated by the finite element analysis method. The mean shielding uncertainty (MSU) of the shielding structure is verified to be 0.19% under the uncertainty of strong magnetic interference for a measured current of 2000 A. The M-shaped shielding structure is more resistant to interference than the C-shaped shielding structure and fits better into the triangular arrangement of the cable geometry.
