Applying deep learning techniques to Electroencephalogram (EEG) data has shown great potential in the field of depression detection. However, existing EEG-based depression detection models face challenges: they struggle to capture the complex spatiotemporal dependencies and the complementary nature of spatiotemporal information in EEG data; functional connectivity between brain regions is not sufficiently considered. To address these issues, we propose a new Spatial-Temporal Graph-Enhanced Transformer, named STGE-Former. Raw EEG signals are first mapped to Spatial-Temporal Shared Embeddings, then processed by the Spatial Attention Stream and the Temporal Graph-Enhanced Attention Stream to extract spatiotemporal complementary information, and finally classified through a classification head. Experimental results on the MODMA dataset show that our model outperforms existing methods in the task of EEG-Based MDD Detection. STGE-Former provides a promising approach for automatic depression detection. The code is available at https://***/RockyChen02.5/STGE-Former.

Image-based rigid 2./3D registration is a critical technique for fluoroscopic guided surgical interventions. In recent years, some learning-based fully differentiable methods have produced beneficial outcomes while the process of feature extraction and gradient flow transmission still lack controllability and interpretability. To alleviate these problems, in this work, we propose a novel fully differentiable correlation-driven network using a dual-branch CNN-transformer encoder which enables the network to extract and separate low-frequency global features from high-frequency local features. A correlation-driven loss is further proposed for low-frequency feature and high-frequency feature decomposition based on embedded information. Besides, a training strategy that learns to approximate a convex-shape similarity function is applied in our work. We test our approach on a in-house dataset and show that it outperforms both existing fully differentiable learning-based registration approaches and the conventional optimization-based baseline. Sentence similarity calculation is one of several research topics in natural language processing. It has been widely used in information retrieval, intelligent question answering and other fields. Traditional machine learning methods generally extract sentence features through manually defined feature templates and then perform similarity calculations. This type of method usually requires more human intervention and constantly has to deal with domain migration problems. Automatically extracting sentence features using certain deep learning algorithms helps to solve domain migration problems. The training data is of the domain is required to complete the extraction process. However, the neural network structure design in the deep learning model usually requires experienced experts to carry out multiple rounds of the tuning design phase. Using an automatic neural architecture search (ANAS) {2. deals with all the network structure design problems. This paper proposes a sentence similarity calculation method based on neural architecture search. This method uses a combination of grid search and random search. The method in this paper is tested on the Quora "Question-Pairs" data set and has an accuracy of 81.8%. The experimental results show that the method proposed in this paper can efficiently and automatically learn the network structure of the deep learning model to achieve high accuracy. © 2.2., IFIP International Federation for information processing.

Intraoperative Cone-Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) facilitates intraoperative navigation for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (MISS). However, high-attenuation metal implants used in MISS often cause metal artifacts in the reconstructed CBCT images. Current algorithms do not consider the cross-view information in the projection-domain for metal artifact reduction (MAR). Inaccurate projection-domain inpainting results in CBCT MAR lead to tissue blurring and secondary artifacts, significantly compromising the accuracy of CBCT-guided MISS and increasing surgical risks. To address the above challenge, in this paper, we propose a novel unsupervised cross-view prior inpainting network for CBCT Metal Artifact Reduction named NEAT-Net. Firstly, a cross-view prior multi-scale inpainting module is constructed to learn the inter-view complementary information. Secondly, a hybrid feature attention module is proposed to adaptively fuse cross-view features. In addition, an unsupervised training approach is proposed to directly learn from metal-affected data. Extensive experiments are conducted to verify the effectiveness of our algorithm on a real clinical dataset.

This work confirms the performance gain achieved by deploying a simultaneously transmitting and reflecting reconfigurable intelligent surface (STAR-RIS) in covert communication. To maximize the system covert rate, we jointly optimize the power allocation coefficients at the transmitter and the transmission and reflection coefficients at the STAR-RIS, subject to the delay-constrained and power-constrained. Furthermore, we propose a two-stage alternating optimization algorithm based on the semidefinite relaxation (SDR) method to derive the optimal solutions to the above non-convex optimization problem. The effectiveness and superiority of the proposed algorithm and STAR-RIS-assisted covert scheme are demonstrated by the numerical results. © 2.2. IEEE.

We present a novel deep learning-based framework: Embedded Feature Similarity Optimization with Specific Parameter Initialization (SOPI) for 2./3D medical image registration which is a most challenging problem due to the difficulty such as dimensional mismatch, heavy computation load and lack of golden evaluation standard. The framework we design includes a parameter specification module to efficiently choose initialization pose parameter and a fine-registration module to align images. The proposed framework takes extracting multi-scale features into consideration using a novel composite connection encoder with special training techniques. We compare the method with both learning-based methods and optimization-based methods on a in-house CT/X-ray dataset as well as simulated data to further evaluate performance. Our experiments demonstrate that the method in this paper has improved the registration performance, and thereby outperforms the existing methods in terms of accuracy and running time. Because of rapid growth of multimedia data over the Internet, the infobesity has been emerging in recent years. Many recommender systems (RSs) have been proposed using a variety of techniques, including artificial intelligence, machine learning, statistical analysis, and data mining. Nowadays, E-commerce companies such as Amazon, eBay, Netflix, etc. have applied RSs conveniently to provide better customer services than before by enabling customized multimedia-content recommendations. It is well known that classical RSs are almost all based on the user-item attribute matrices. However, this two-fold user-item relationship should be extended to the emerging many-fold relationship among an arbitrary number of attribute groups so that the corresponding new RSs may lead to better performances. Therefore, in this paper, we introduce a novel personalized multimedia recommender system (PMRS) according to our proposed new parallel higher-order tensor singular-value-decomposition (PHOTSVD) algorithm. This PHOTSVD algorithm is capable of accommodating an arbitrary number of entities such as social-media channels, users, queries, webpages, etc. in a robust RS. Furthermore, we also investigate the cold start and data bias problems critical to RSs. Finally, we compare the performances of our proposed new PMRS and three other existing tensor-based RSs over realworld data with respect to the well-adopted metric, namely normalized root-mean-square error (NRMSE). Our proposed new PMRS greatly outperforms the other three existing tensor-based RSs in terms of NRMSE. © 1963-12.12.IEEE.

Continual-MAE: Adaptive Distribution Masked Autoencoders for Continual Test-Time Adaptation

Continual Test-Time Adaptation (CTTA) is proposed to migrate a source pre-trained model to continually changing target distributions, addressing real-world dynamism. Existing CTTA methods mainly rely on entropy minimization or teacher-student pseudo-labeling schemes for knowledge extraction in unlabeled target domains. However, dynamic data distributions cause miscalibrated predictions and noisy pseudo-labels in existing self-supervised learning methods, hindering the effective mitigation of error accumulation and catastrophic forgetting problems during the continual adaptation process. To tackle these issues, we propose a continual self-supervised method, Adaptive Distribution Masked Autoencoders (ADMA), which enhances the extraction of target domain knowledge while mitigating the accumulation of distribution shifts. Specifically, we propose a Distribution-aware Masking (DaM) mechanism to adaptively sample masked positions, followed by establishing consistency constraints between the masked target samples and the original target samples. Additionally, for masked tokens, we utilize an efficient decoder to reconstruct a hand-crafted feature descriptor (e.g., Histograms of Oriented Gradients), leveraging its invariant properties to boost task-relevant representations. Through conducting extensive experiments on four widely recognized benchmarks, our proposed method attains state-of-the-art performance in both classification and segmentation CTTA tasks. Multimodal fusion has become an important research technique in neuroscience that completes downstream tasks by extracting complementary information from multiple modalities. Existing multimodal research on brain networks mainly focuses on two modalities, structural connectivity (SC) and functional connectivity (FC). Recently, extensive literature has shown that the relationship between SC and FC is complex and not a simple one-to-one mapping. The coupling of structure and function at the regional level is heterogeneous. However, all previous studies have neglected the modal regional heterogeneity between SC and FC and fused their representations via "simple patterns", which are inefficient ways of multimodal fusion and affect the overall performance of the model. In this paper, to alleviate the issue of regional heterogeneity of multimodal brain networks, we propose a novel Regional Heterogeneous multimodal Brain networks Fusion Strategy (RH-BrainFS). Briefly, we introduce a brain subgraph networks module to extract regional characteristics of brain networks, and further use a new transformer-based fusion bottleneck module to alleviate the issue of regional heterogeneity between SC and FC. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first paper to explicitly state the issue of structural-functional modal regional heterogeneity and to propose a solution. Extensive experiments demonstrate that the proposed method outperforms several state-of-the-art methods in a variety of neuroscience tasks. Computed Tomography (CT) is an imaging technique widely used in clinical diagnosis. However, high-attenuation metallic implants result in the obstruction of low-energy Xrays and further lead to metal artifacts in the reconstructed CT images. Deep supervised model-based metal artifact reduction(MAR) approaches are limited in clinical applications due to the difficulty in obtaining paired artifact-affected and artifactfree data. Furthermore, these model-based methods lack the consideration of data consistency in the sinogram-domain to perform exact metal trace inpainting. To address these challenges, we propose a Data-consistent unsupErVised diffusiOn model for meTal artifact rEDuction, called DEVOTED-Net. First, DEVOTED-Net leverages prior knowledge to guide the conditional diffusion model for fine-grained metal trace inpainting. Second, an unsupervised MAR framework is designed in the reverse process for the unknown metal traces restoration in the sinogram domain. Third, to further enhance the sinogram-domain data consistency, physics-based consistency constraint loss including conjugateray consistency loss and accumulation-ray consistency loss is designed. Extensive experiments are carried out to verify the performance of our algorithm on the publicly available dataset and clinical experimental dataset. This efficient, accurate, and reliable MAR approach holds great potential in clinics.
